This month's theme is "2 Sweet".
The Barton Table Original Chocolate Sauce, 9.5 oz - Value $9.99
Oh my goodness is this chocolate sauce divine. It's deep and rich like a dark chocolate bar, with a frosting-like consistency that melts into fudgy goodness as it warms up.
The sauce is perfect for a whole slew of dessert-y occasions, including topping ice cream sundaes and dipping into with pretzels. I'm really loving this decadent little jar—it's running out a lot faster than I expected!
Brenham Kitchens Dried Strawberries, 7 oz - Value $10.00
This mix of plain strawberries and sugar make for a great afternoon treat. These bite-sized fruits are tender and sweet without feeling overly dessert-ish. Of course, you can always up the indulgence factor by pairing these berries with a drizzle of warm chocolate sauce and a scoop or two of ice cream... I bet they'd be great in granola or trail mix, too. I might chop 'em up in that situation to help them blend in beautifully.
Luna Tigre Soy Candle in Birthday Cake, 6 oz - Value $8.00
This candle smells so good! The rich vanilla fragrance feels exactly like frosting and batter. I like when candles come in lidded containers since it makes them easy to store when I'm done with them. I can only enjoy a sweet-smelling candle for so long (or else I just crave cake all the time, hehe), so I like that I can easily pop this in a drawer or cupboard without worrying it'll get dusty when I'm done with it.
Garden Dreams Houston Peaches and Dream Jam - Value $5.00?
The Garden Dreams site doesn't list how much a jar of their jams costs, so I just took a guess at how much this jar might be. It's a lovely, amber jam in a jar that's about the same size as the 6 oz candle I got. I'm not a huge peach jam fan, but I liked how bright and luscious this jam's flavor is. The "dream" element comes from the notes of vanilla in the recipe—I'm not super familiar with peach jam, but I found this one to be very peachy with just a gentle acidity and a mild, happy sweetness.
Julie's Real Cinnamon Vanilla Bean Grain-Free Granola, 2.6 oz - Value $4.95
This granola might be grain-free, but it is full of deliciously nutty vanilla flavor. Apart from being grain-free, this mix is gluten-free, paleo, peanut-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Instead of grains, this granola is made from little bits of almonds, pecans, honey, unsweetened coconut, and more. It's surprisingly indulgent—I could see this being a staple mix-in for my morning yogurt!
Verdict: This month's My Texas Market was awesome! I loved all of the sweet treats inside, and I felt like everything (even the decor item!) fit the theme perfectly. I calculated the value to be just about $38, which is right around the cost of the box plus the cost of shipping. I think it's so fun to discover all of these super-unique items, especially because the quality of everything is so lovely. Now excuse me while I go polish off that entire jar of chocolate sauce...
