Namaslay sends a card listing the items included in each box. I appreciate it when boxes do this as I can easily see the values and if I may be missing an item. In the past, there was a theme to the box but I didn’t see one this month.
Yoga Girl by Rachel Brathen – Value $19.99
Typically, Namaslay includes a yoga pose of the month in each box but this month we received an entire book of poses! The author takes you through her life and journey toward yoga and meditation and she also has recipes and step by step instructions on various yoga poses. She has an interesting story and her consistent focus on staying happy is inspiring. Here’s a description of the book from Amazon:
Whether she’s practicing handstands on her stand-up paddleboard or teaching Downward-Facing Dog to the masses, Rachel Brathen—Instagram’s @Yoga_Girl—has made it her mission to share inspirational messages with people from all corners of the world. In Yoga Girl, Brathen takes readers beyond her Instagram feed and shares her journey like never before—from her self-destructive teenage years in her hometown in Sweden to her adventures in the jungles of Costa Rica, and finally to the beautiful and bohemian life she’s built through yoga and meditation in Aruba today.
Hair tie and Headband by Top Knot Chicago – Listed Value $5.00
I couldn’t find an exact match for the items I received in the box so I took the value provided by Namaslay. The hair ties are really cute and I like this kind because they don’t mess my hair up too much. These are good for yoga but I need something stronger when doing other types of yoga.
Good Morning Sun Aromatherapy Spray by HumbleLove – Value $12.00
This essential oil spray is made from” Water, Alcohol, Essential oils of Rosemary, Lemon, Orange, and Peppermint.” It’s citrusy, bright scent is good for using when you are just waking up or feeling tired throughout the day. Spray it anywhere (the air, clothes, car, etc.) – just not in your eyes or face.
Good Night Moon Salve by HumbleLove – Value $12.00
This natural vapor rub is made from “Sunflower oil*, Olive oil*, Castor oil*, Beeswax, Menthol crystals*, Essential oils of Eucalyptus*, Peppermint*, and Balsam Fir*.” It’s recommended for coughs, sore throats and congestion. We like to use items like this in the winter so I’ll set this aside for a few months (hopefully).
Organic Culinary Grade Matcha by Meet Matcha, 50 servings – Listed Value $21.00
Having organic matcha in the kitchen is great! I like to use it in my smoothies but I’ve seen matcha ice cream before so I think I’ll try my hand at that this time. I couldn’t find this brand online unfortunately but matcha is easily found online.
Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Bar by KIND bars, 1.4 oz. – Value $1.31 (buy 12 bars for $15.76)
We love KIND brand bars in our house and this flavor is a winner! I love the salt mixed with the sweetness of caramel and chocolate.
Verdict: I think this was a good month for Namaslay. I will use everything in the box and I’m already half way through the Yoga Girl book. The items didn’t seem cohesive in curation but I can see how they may be thought of as someone related to yoga, wellness, and natural. The value was great though! The box contained $71.30 worth of products for $37.21 USD.
