Orglamix is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription containing loose shadows, glitter pigments, aromatherapy roll-ons, and more. Many of the items in the subscription will be unique to the subscription and not available in the Orglamix shop (although they will have the same great formula).
They are now doing custom box prints every month and they’re quite pretty.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box came with an information card detailing the items for August as well as the monthly theme (“Vintage Boho”).
Organic Beauty Balm Prep + Prime – Listed Value $21
This contains DMAE, which is somewhat controversial in terms of what its actual effects are (I don’t have a strong opinion on the issue because I haven’t read any studies myself), although it is believed by some to have anti-aging effects. This purports to control oil as well as keep dry areas of the skin moisturized and I have to say, after trying this, it is more of a moisturizer than an oil control product, which means it won’t work so well for my skin as a primer. I can still use it as a nighttime moisturizer, though!
Bohemian Chic Perfume Roll On – Listed Value $18
We haven’t had a perfume roll-on from Orglamix for awhile; one was definitely due. This is a good fragrance for summer and includes satsuma and sugarcane. It’s a little fruitier and more floral than I usually like, but this will be good for days when I want to go light with the scent and get out of my usual routine.
Cinnamon Sugar Lip Mask – Listed Value $12
This smells like something I want to eat. I tried it out this morning and it was super moisturizing. I kind of wish this had come later in the year as my lips need a lot more help in winter than they do in summer, but it is best not to keep liquid cosmetics with no preservatives for a super long time.
Cardamom Rose Coconut Milk Lotion Spray – Listed Value $8
I’m not sure I find this particular spray bottle an effective means to dispense the amount of product I want to use on my legs, but the product itself is quite nice. It absorbed into my skin well after a shower and I really like the scent. Something about the cardamom moderates the rose a bit and makes this not super strongly floral.
Wild at Heart Natural Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12.50
One constant with this box is that you will always receive a loose powder eyeshadow (sometimes more than one). This month it is a lovely gray color. Since I tend to stick to neutrals for eyeshadows, I know I will be getting a lot of use out of this. I find these stay all day if you use a good primer (I’m currently using UDPP) and also that they blend well and don’t irritate my eyes.
Here is a swatch of the eyeshadow.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $71.50 for the August Orglamix subscription box. I had to take the values from the information card because many of the items were exclusives, but the price of the eyeshadow, for example, is right in line with non-exclusive shades from the Orglamix shop. This was an interesting collection of items. Often Orglamix will be either fragrance heavy or skincare heavy, but we got a little bit of both this month since the skincare and body care items were fragranced. (I did love the lotion and lip scrub fragrances, especially.) There were also a lot of items made just for the subscription box. On the one hand, it is fun to get some exclusive items and shades, but then if you like an item, you can’t go out and buy it again, since nearly everything in this subscription is unavailable from the Orglamix shop. If you like to sample skincare and fragrance items, though – especially vegan and natural ones – this could be a good box for you.
