Oui Please
2.9 overall rating
130 Ratings | 33 Reviews

Oui Please is a subscription box that brings you the best of France every other month. In every box you can expect a mix of beauty, jewelry, fashion, home, and food items.

Important to know - not all boxes are the same. This is a subscription that sends variations out.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Oui Please

The Cost: $150 per box (ships every other month)

The Products: An assortment of full sized French products in beauty, fashion, jewelry, home and food categories.

Keep Track of Your Subscriptions: Add this box to your Subscription List or Wish List!

Ships to: US

Check out all of my Oui Please reviews and the Oui Please Swap Page!

The box comes with a mini mag – it details all the different products you might have received in your box. (There are a variety of product combinations each subscriber will receive).

Now, on to the items!

Mille Et Une Fouta - Retail Value $50

This is your classic, lightweight, 100% cotton Turkish towel. It's perfect for a beach bag/purse/travel etc. bc it takes up very little space! (But it's not absorbent like a terrycloth towel.)

Subscribers were able to pick the color of their choice for this Turkish towel. (Full details.) I didn't end up emailing a request for this towel or the bracelet since I was having a tough time making a decision! (But, some readers have mentioned they didn't get the colors they requested. If this happened to you, please let us know if/how Oui Please resolved the issue.)

And here I am holding it up to show you how big this towel is:

(It's like an oversized beach towel.)

Les Nereides Bracelet - Retail Value $60

(This was the other customizable piece for this box.)

I've received Les Nereides in Oui Please boxes before, and I love the brand! I'm all about delicate gold jewelry, and these bracelets are so lovely!

I got the blue enameled royal beetle variation. And you can adjust the bracelet fit with the threads in the back:

Here it is on:

Clara en Provence Savon de Marseille & Lavender Bag - Value $8

This little sachet is full of lavender and perfect for adding fragrance to a linen closet, drawer, etc. The soap is also lavender scented, but the scent is much more subtle. I've already put the sachet to use, but this could also be a great little hostess gift!

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt – 40 ml Value $8.40

I've received this item in a Oui Please box before, but I have no complaints - it's a fab product!

This is a cleansing shampoo with a salt scrub designed to help purify your scalp from any product build up.

This sample got my scalp super clean, and there’s enough left in the jar for another treatment in a week!

Gold 48K Paris Day Cream - Retail Value Listed $200 (Converted Euros to USD = $223)

Gold?! This formula is "enriched in ultra-fine pure gold particles and hyaluronic acid." It's designed to help make your skin soft (but firm!) and luminous. (I'm immediately thinking of Lindsay Bluth and her diamond cream, but I'm still excited to try this!)

The paraben-free formula is rich, but it still absorbed pretty quickly and left my skin with a matte finish. (Perfect for a day cream!) While I would prefer it to be unscented, the fragrance is subtle and fades pretty quickly.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Mask with Lemon - 50 ml Value $10

This is a three-in-one cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating treatment that can substitute for shampoo.

You leave it in wet hair for 5-10 minutes, massage throughout, then rinse. I loved the lemon scent and I could truly tell a difference in my hair softness after using it!

Oui Love It! Langues de Chat biscuits - Retail Value $10

These cookies are a crispy vanilla wafer that would be perfect for dunking in coffee/tea.

Or just eating the whole box as is!

Verdict: This box has an estimated retail value of $370.  I signed up with a discount for an annual subscription, so this box only cost me about $76. I think that's a great deal! (If you are thinking of signing up for this subscription, make sure to wait for a 40% off coupon to get the best pricing. Sign up for coupon alerts below!)

In general, I love the types of items Oui Please sends. (If you like delicate jewelry like I do, I think this box will be a good fit for you!) And this box feels authentically French. I think it would make a great gift, too.

The bloggers get the best/most expensive items. If you are regular subscribers you get a very mediocre box for a very high price tag.

Worst box ever! They really don’t have any customer service! Didn’t send me one of my boxes and they never made it right. Just a scam of a company!

I must disagree with the “subtle” scent of the Gold 48K Paris Day Cream. It’s really, really strong, and it did not fade at all (on me). Thankfully, I like most scents, so this was not a deal-breaker for me.
I like it, and will be sad when my jar is finished. It is non-greasy, but works well on my old and dry skin. 10/10 from me.

Oui Please did not send me the items that I pre-selected. Super disappointing. Why go through all that effort and send random items?

I’ve been charged for the box but did not receive it and will be charged for the upcoming one. I’m still waiting for a response. Think I’ll just have to dispute all charges with the credit card company and tell them not to send anything if my experience was not a fluke, but in fact, what sounds like a plan to bill without providing anything of material value.

If I hear from them, I will definitely update this comment with any and all responses received, positive or negative.

This happened to me too. They didn’t send me a box I was owed. They really don’t care about customers. If they get back to you weeks later they argue with you at every turn. Never got my box or $ back. It is a bad box anyways. I never got the nicer iteams subscription addiction got, only candys and face creams.

I ordered a year, last year and they didn’t send me the first box. So I messaged them thru their site. They told me I would start on the next box, but instead I was auto-renewed after 5, not 6 deliveries.

Because i didn’t have a record of their response i had no proof of the communication. So this time I emailed them, and they had the gall to tell me that THEY DECIDE HOW MANY BOXES ARE IN A YEAR.

Clearly they do not have a problem defrauding customers out of boxes. Their customer service is not about making it right, but about arguing with customers to get away with fraud.

My advice to anyone subscribing to this box is to email your concerns and keep a record of it, for your credit card company.

According to their website, when I purchased annual in July, they don’t auto renew after the year so I am shocked to read this. Also I have read multiple comments that an annual comprises of 6 boxes even though it takes about 18 months to receive them all. What a mess. Time to go into my account and remove my CC info.

Lauren

I’m surprised at all the negativity on this thread. This is my absolute favorite box and I LOVED mine this month. Customer service was great for me.

Maria

I still don’t have my box. I was promised movement by yesterday at the latest. Nothing.
CS is not good for me and many others. It seems like a toss of the dice to see who gets good service and who doesn’t.
I’m sure it’s a lovely box. But the stress of buying a box and not getting it is very aggravating, and we are allowed to express our disappointment.

Susan

When people don’t receive their boxes/items promised and don’t hear back from customer service for weeks on end despite multiple emails, they have every right to voice their opinions, negativety and all.

I love this box but I have had missing items in the last two boxes. My bracelet was incorrect and the lemon hair cream was only sample sized. I’ve paid for 2 annual subs, they only sent one and I’ve emailed about sending my second.
I’m still waiting for a reply although my initial email about the incorrect bracelet received the same reply the others on here have mentioned. My bracelet didn’t even come in a LN bag but a floral sachet. I love the products in these boxes, and this is my favorite sub but they really need to get their customer service and values up to par.

I have not received my box this either. I have started to dispute the charges with my credit card and file a complaint with BBB. Any other ideas on how to stop this company from scamming people? I intend to get my money back from this worthless company and donate it to a charity. I don’t NEED this stuff and the amount of time, money and energy I put into this is not worth it to me. I would rather use it to help someone else.

ME

By far this is my favorite subscription box – I’m always so excited to unwrap. Based on some of the comments though, I consider myself lucky because I’ve written to CS and have always received a timely response. I didn’t get the bracelet I requested but that’s okay because I really like the one I received and have received a few compliments because it’s so unique.

I love how everyone on the swap site has their Christophe robin lemon scrub listed as full size for $30! And the other one is listed as full size at $30 too! I also swapped for two of the lavender satchets & soaps and everyone has them listed at $15! Real nice!

I requested the white flower bracelet and I was sent the blue beetle bracelet. I emailed them and they said that they were sent the wrong quantity. I emailed them again stating that this bracelet was my least favorite and asked if there were any others and I never heard from them again. This company has terrible customer service and I will not be renewing my subscription.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

You should really point out their horrible (pretty much nonexistent) customer service. I think many people see your reviews of OP and think it’ll be a great box overall, but the way their CS treats subscribers is just not worth it. To anyone thinking of subbing, just don’t!!! I didn’t listen to everyone else who advised to avoid this company, and now I really regret it.

Sammee

I definitely agree with Maddie’s comments and want to offer my sympathy and thanks to people who have had bad experiences with this box and speak out to warn others. The spoilers, discounts, and glowing reviews on this box certainly make it look tempting. But each time I think about biting the bullet, I think about all the comments people have written about their bad experiences and hold back. Then when the box is sent out and the comments start up again, I’m always grateful I didn’t give this company my money. For instance, I almost subbed to this box just to get the bee bracelet. I figured even if I got a relatively low value box then at least I would like the hero item since they’re letting their subscribers choose which bracelet they want. Then I thought about what people have said about this box and the bad CS and didn’t pull the trigger. Lo and behold, it turns out that a lot of people unfortunately didn’t get the bracelet they were promised, and it sounds like OP doesn’t have much interest in making it up to them. I would have been livid if I had signed up for a particular, guaranteed item and didn’t get it. But it’s people like you and others who saved me from that fate. I REALLY hope everything works out for people who have been treated poorly from this company. In the meantime, keep speaking out about your experiences because many people are out there listening.

If it means anything, based on the comments of people like you, and Susan below yours, as well as many others here, I took a pass on subscribing to this box.

It didn’t help that they’re offering an over-sized dishtowel and assigning a $50 value to it or a single sleeve of cookies supposedly with $10 or, most egregious in my mind, sending “free sample, not for resale” items and stating the value as more than ZERO.

Companies who scrimp on customer service are destined to go out of business because it costs far less to keep a satisfied customer than it does to 1) recruit a new customer or 2) overcome publicized experiences of poor CS.

Finally, if you are committed to asking people to choose between options, you d*mn well better be equally committed to following thru on their choice. This is not rocket science, it is basic business.

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth Naidoo

I completely agree! I think that’s want really made me livid…asking what bracelet I’d like and then not giving it to me without any explanation.

Susan

You’re absolutely right. They would soon change their ways if we all cancelled our boxes. I feel awful for all those that haven’t received theirs.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

I have NOT recieved my box at all and NO ONE eill email me back from the company…worst customer service and will be disputing the charges…PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOUR LOOKING TO JOIN, IM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HASNT RECIEVED THEIR BOX AND CANT GET A RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Ok done yelling now LOL so frustrating!!

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

The Christophe Robin lemon product actually has written on the back “free sample not for sale”, and the cookies are also not worth $10. Forget about the gold cream, that’s just ridiculous hype. They put in one or two nice items and then the rest is filler, so I feel bad for those who pay full price…

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

I was disappointed to just get two samples instead of full sized as advertised.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

So far I have loved everything in the two boxes I’ve gotten. The gold cream is ridiculously priced, but I adore it so much that I swapped for several more to have on hand. The little bracelet is beautiful but it is very delicate. I wore it with a stacked leather bracelet and it was perfect. I can’t wait for the the next shipment.

Reply ButtonReply

Kc

This is the 3.1 box. I got the color of foutas I requested but neither of the bracelet choices I picked. I got a nail polish in place of a second hair product. That said, I easily swapped the bracelets for things I really wanted. I’m enjoying the fouta and sachet, my hubby ate all the cookies in one setting, and the lemon hair mask makes my hair super soft and lightly lemon scented. The gold cream was not for me. Overall I’m happy w my first box- no shipping issues or anything that I was dreading. Looking forward to the fall box.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

I got two boxes. One had correct bracelet, the other did not. The fouta is not the brand they said in their booklet. The hair products were also not the one advertised in the booklet. I still liked everything I received but they really need to do something about their responsiveness to customer service inquiries via email. A customer should not have to hound them day and night for weeks to obtain a response.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

My first OP was a strangely frustrating experience for a box where I’m basically satisfied with the items and the value. I liked everything in this box, even though they didn’t honor my bracelet selection, changed the hair product up from the spoiler, and never contacted me with any sort of explanation. The LN bracelets are beautiful in person and very much my style, and the cream is really nice. I won’t continue as a monthly subscriber, because these people don’t seem quite together enough for me to let them take $150 of my money every two months. If they have another good round of spoilers/coupons I might do another one off box.

“A million F*c#ing Diamonds!”

I had to LOL at your Lindsay Bluth reference!

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

That’s EXACTLY what I thought of when I saw this cream! There are dozens of us! Huzzah!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

YES!! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

The fouta was by Barine, and not mille et un, like shown in the booklet we received in the box. Not sure if that’s better or worse but it’s another instance of things being just off the mark with this box. I know far more people didn’t receive their choices (especially the bracelet) than those who did.

Reply ButtonReply

Lawden

I actually only signed up to get the bee bracelet and I emailed them multiple times they assured me I’d get it then what happens… I got the blue beetle… emailed them they pretty much said oh sorry it was the companies fault… um no ok let us replace it for you nothing… also my cookies came in a box that was destroyed and I got nail polish that was in a ripped box and the pouch the bracelet came in does not snap closed… sent pics of it all but I literally cannot get them to respond to me ( they sent back one email saying there’s nothing they can do about the bracelet but would send replacements for the cookies and polish but since then it’s dead silence!) I am so bummed I spent so much on this was so excited for this?! Ppl talk about Popsugar and their cs and how it’s not good but to me they are phenomenal!! They’d never do me this way😭😉 oh well lesson learned… sticking with my tried and true boxes from now on, love you Popsugar 💞💜

Reply ButtonReply

Dorian

If you don’t want the beetle bracelet would you be willing to sell it for a little less than RV? It love the comic book character Blue Beetle and this is so beautiful and so much classier than “nerdy” jewelry

Jun

The bracelet was missing from my box and I tried contacting their CS, it is a nightmare, they are never responding when there is a problem. This is the second box I had and the first box had “missing” items also. Customer service did not get back to me until before my second box was going to ship and they finally said they will include the missing items from my first box in my second box. They did include those so credits for that. But the “Hero” item from this box, which we were sent email to choose a design from, is missing? I’m so tired of going after them…

Reply ButtonReply

Maria

My bracelet was also missing and I’ve tried emailing and contacting on Facebook as well. This has been a frustrating subscription. I paid for an annual subscription and I’ve had issues with two of the four boxes I’ve received. Cannot wait for this sub to end. Never again!

Reply ButtonReply

Virginia

I am becoming more and more impressed with this box each time I see it reviewed. If I can get it for the price you did, it is not much more than FFF. It may be too late (I know it is too late to get the box and probably too late for my face and hair) but I could certainly use the hair and face items this month.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

Go into the community page and read up on the Customer Service nightmares before subscribing. They are the norm not the exception. If you love to gamble then this box is for you.

Reply ButtonReply

AGootee

I signed up at the 40% off and I did get my selected fouta color but my bracelet was incorrect. I didn’t mind because I loved the goldfish replacement I was given but my thread has come undone at the tie. I’ve sent an email and am awaiting a reply. I did feel like this box was worth what I paid with the discount:)

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

I got almost the exact same box – but instead of the first CR product I got a nail polish from a past box. I requested the bee bracelet, and got the beetle. It did take a few days, but CS emailed me back and told me “We apologize for the inconvenience, Les Nereides stopped the production and delivered us the wrong quantity of products.
We haven’t been informed until last minute. We hope you enjoy the piece of your jewelry as they are all very unique! ”

They said they will be following up and sending me something, but I’ve no idea if they actually will or not. I appreciate the idea that they are trying to customize boxes, but sadly it doesn’t seem like it was quite successful this round.

Not sure if I will continue this sub as this is not the first time there have been issues, but I do love the items they send!

Tara

I’ve been wanting to try the lemon mask but all the listings on the swap site here have it valued at $30 for a 1.7 ounce which seemed high to me. I’m not sure how every single listing has it for that amount $10 seems right based off the full size.

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

I had 4 of them and listed them at $10. I just swapped out the last one last night, however.

Reply ButtonReply

Virginia

I was looking for his scrub on ebay and it is amazing how these sellers cannot read as well as we can. They are hoping you will not notice that the jar is not the regular size and you will buy it at their price. This is true with everything I have looked at on ebay. Even shoes.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

It was priced in the booklet at $30, but I agree it’s the size for a $10 sample.
