Zestt Organic Cotton Bodhi Throw Blanket, 39" x 72" - Value $48.00?
I couldn't find this blanket online, but in our spoiler post for this box, Sundae Home stated the value to be at least $48.00. This blanket is like a thick cotton sheet with cute white tassels on each end. I love the sky blue hue that I got, though other subscribers may have gotten a pretty pinkish coral color. While I don't know if I'll get a chance to get back on the beach before the end of the summer, I feel like this blanket would be perfect for fall picnics, or even just using as a tablecloth or throw blanket for my couch.
Laguna Salt Company Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, 3 oz - Value $6.50
It's cool to have gotten a pantry item in this month's box, though I'm a little underwhelmed by just this simple shaker of salt. Don't get me wrong, I love using fancy salt in the cooking I do, but this doesn't feel quite as special and unique as the throw blanket—I'm so used to seeing sea salt like this on the shelves of stores like TJ Maxx or Marshall's for a great bargain.
EightMood Glass Jar/Votive Holder - Value $12.00?
I could see using this jar for holding a candle (real or battery-operated) or planting a plant. I like how the honeycomb pattern adds some organic texture to an otherwise cold, hard piece. I feel like it's just the wink of shine to wake up a corner of your living room or patio. Note that the glass has a bit of a gray tone to it, so it's not perfectly clear. I couldn't find this Swedish item for sale online, so I took a guess at how much it'd probably go for at a decor store.
Hillhouse Naturals Verbena Blossom Nectar Candle, 6.5 oz - Value $19.50?
Wow, this candle has such a lovely sweet lemon fragrance to it! I love that it's made in the U.S.A., though the candle doesn't come with much other information about what makes it "natural". I like using non-toxic candles made from soy, etc. whenever possible, so I'd be interested to have those details! I do love the pretty olive tin that this candle comes in (candles in tins are always so easy to store and keep looking clean and dust-free), and it's just small enough to fit comfortably on my mantle. I do feel like $19.50 is a lot for a candle like this one, but I know that high-quality candles do get a little pricey.
Note that the link above goes to a similarly sized candle tin from the same brand, just with a different fragrance. I couldn't find this size and style of the candle in the Verbena fragrance online.
Umbra 4" x 6" Frame with Wire Detail - Value $14.99?
I love this frame! It's modern, quirky, and minimalist, which fits my design style. For being such a sturdy frame, its glass and metal body keeps it looking really lightweight and elegant. While Umbra has a lot of "prism" style frames like this one, I couldn't find this rounded version online anywhere. (Currently, their similar designs are more angular.) So I linked to something similar above.
Fralinger's Original Salt Water Taffy, 0.5 pound box - Value $6.50 (Buy a 1 pound box for $12.99 at James Candy)
I really don't like taffy, so I wasn't super excited when I saw this assorted box of colorful taffy in the box. Still, the presentation is so nice that I'll definitely be able to gift this to a friend or family member. I like the retro vibes of the box—it just screams summer. For someone who can't get to the Atlantic shoreline this season, the "sea air and sunshine" sealed in this box would be a happy surprise.
Verdict: During its introductory offer, this box only costs $44.99, but I estimated about $108.00 of product inside. That's not bad, but I'm also surprised it was worth that much. I feel like the items are all high-quality, but I worry that they're the kinds of things I could find on the shelves of Home Goods for slightly less than I estimated here. Still, I'll put everything to use (except for the taffy), and I love the feeling of having fun new decor accessories to play with adding into my space.
