The Bookish Box is a book-inspired subscription box from the online shop, Appraising Pages.
Originally, The Bookish Box was a subscription box filled with bookish objects only—no actual books involved. Recently, though, they changed up their game and added several subscription varieties to choose from, including one that does have a book inside!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
This review is of the Women's Sized box that includes a t-shirt for $29.99 a month.

This month's theme is "Feminist and Floral". This is 100% me, so I can't wait to check it out. Love that Nora Ephron quote, too!
Looks like this subscription has a new person on staff! Here's a handy card introducing her. Hi, Vilma!
Females Are Strong as Hell Sticker
This sticker is small (it's just slightly smaller than a business card), but the design is pretty impactful! It's got a motorcycle babe vibe that I kind of like. The quote is from The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which isn't bookish but is pretty awesome.
Ramona Blue Bookmark
This bookmark is really pretty. I've not read Ramona Blue, but this quote makes me want to! It's super inspiring and motivating to see when you're flipping through the pages of a dreamy book.
The Star-Touched Queen Quote Print
This print isn't actually listed on the info card, but it definitely stands out in this box of blue and aqua items. It features another great quote about blazing your own path and designing your own life. Love that vibe! While the paper isn't the greatest quality (it's about the same weight as the info card), this would look cool framed. I wish I had a daughter—I would totally put this in her room!
Margaret Atwood The Handmaid's Tale Purse
This purse was designed by The Bookish Box. What seems like a normal purse is actually a secret tribute to the feminist book-turned-TV-sensation. The outside has a texture somewhere between velvet and faux suede. I like the design—the bag zips shut but then flops over and clasps via a magnetic snap. My only wish is that the Handmaid's Tale design was on the outside!
Lapel Yeah Alpha Female Enamel Pin
This pretty pastel pin is so cool! I love the combination of a powerful message and pretty flowers, and the colors are so cute. This double-posted pin is going on my bag immediately!
Star-Touched Queen T-Shirt
This exclusive design features a great message on a super comfy shirt. It's a "women's" cut shirt, which means it's a bit more body hugging and the sleeves are shorter (but not cap-sleeve length—PHEW!). It's a little hard to read the second half of the quote, given the design, but I still see myself wearing this under plaid shirts and scarves this fall!
Verdict: This subscription is always so cute. This month, most of the products were exclusive designs from The Bookish Box, so I didn't try to estimate prices. That said, the tees that Bookish Box sells on its site are generally about $20.00 and Lapel Yeah pins are usually around $10.00... that's basically the entire $30.00 cost right there! While I haven't read everything the box references, I like that it inspires me to pick up these cool new books!
