More on the Spain Box:

Jamie Bissonnette isn’t a typical chef—and that’s why people love him. In high school, he was a hardcore punk musician from Hartford, Connecticut who couldn’t find much in the way of good food unless he made it himself. Today, he’s a star tapas chef and an expert in nose-to-tail cuisine.

Spanish cuisine is all about sharing, whether it’s tapas – small, savory appetizers – for the table, or a sumptuous communal pan of paella. We’re excited to share the flair and flavor of Spain with you through Chef Jamie Bissonnette’s recipes.

*Featured Product* Tumaca Sauce | El Navarrico

Made with just ripe tomatoes, olive oil, fresh garlic, and salt, this tomato sauce is delicious spread over toasted bread or served as a dip. It’s an essential component of pan con tomate (pa amb tomàquet in Catalan), a breakfast favorite in Catalunya.

More on the France Box:

Chef Didier Elena has spent more than twenty years in pursuit of culinary excellence at Michelin-starred kitchens around the world. He is celebrated for his refined approach to classic dishes, and now leads the Chefs Club in New York City, a restaurant famed for revolutionizing the industry by featuring chefs from around the world in daily rotations.

Whether on the northern coast of Brittany or in the forests of Ardèche, France is a remarkable country due to its expertise in regional specialities like rich butter and hand-harvested chestnuts. Host a fun bistro experience at home with some light fare exclusively curated by French chef Didier Elena.

*Featured Product* Chestnut Spread | Clément Faugier

Clément Faugier has been making candied chestnuts and sweet spreads since the 1880s. These chestnuts were harvested in the mountainous region of Ardèche, where they are carefully protected by France’s Appellation d’origine Contrôlée to retain their authenticity and taste.

I had subscribed since the beginning of August and I am still waiting for my August box to ship. Their customer service team has been less than responsive. Perhaps, they should make less promotions if they can’t fulfill them.

Still haven’t received my August box or any update about when it will be shipping. Normally they’d be sending out the September box by now but I haven’t heard anything about that box, either. My subscription is set to renew at the end of the month but with two boxes in limbo, I’m hesitant.
