One of my favorite things about this box is the packaging. It's so cute and fresh with a color scheme that draws from the purple tones of wine. So pretty!
This envelope tops the box and comes full of handy information cards about the products inside.
I love that the info cards come with details about each item as well as some special offers!
Wei Mung Bean Sprout Stress-Relieving Smoothing Mask - Value $12.00
Wei Millet Sprout Instant Smoothing Nourishing Mask - Value $12.00
Thanks to the subscription box world, I've seen my fair share of sheet masks. But a sheet mask in a tube? That's a first! Each of these masks comes with its own set of plastic tweezers to pull the mask out of its vial. It seems like a lot of work for a sheet mask, but the plus is that the mask is super soaked with serum and you can easily reseal the vial and save the powerful extra serum for later.
I think my favorite of the two (I got Millet Sprout and Mung Bean) was the Millet one (in the purple package). It left my skin feeling extra soft and supple. (I even massaged some of the serum into my hands, and they felt awesome, too!) I like that these masks use natural medicinal ingredients rather than weird chemicals—I bet if I used a mask like this even once a week, my skin would start to really transform. Both versions left my skin feeling super refreshed and replenished in a way that felt a tad more indulgent than the standard $4.00-ish masks I tend to pick up in a pinch!
Love the Wine You're With Tote Bag by the Paper Shelf - Value $13.95?
This is a really nice, sturdy tote bag. I feel like I could use it at the wine and spirits store without worrying one of its handles would bust off while carrying a bottle or two. The saying is cute, too. I checked out the Paper Shelf's Etsy site and found another tote bag they make to give an idea of value. The card lists $15.00, which is about a dollar difference—I'll allow it for this custom design!
UPDATE: The Etsy shop above has updated their tote price from $13.95 to $15 since this review was originally posted.
Fizz and Bubble Milkshake Bath Bombs - Value $15.00 (Listed Value $14.00)
The last VineOh! box I got also had some bath bombs! They're really outfitting me for a relaxing night sipping wine in the tub. These 12 bath bombs come packaged in a plastic drink cup with a straw inside—it's not reusable or anything, but it does make for some cute packaging. I did kind of wish the scent of the bath bombs fit the milkshake theme better... though I do love lavender-flavored lattes and desserts... maybe I just need to expand on the kind of milkshakes I'm getting, hehe! There's even a smaller-sized loofah in the top of the cup. These bombs aren't anything revolutionary, though they advertise an "ultra-moisturizing 8-oil blend" on the info card. My skin didn't feel bad, just nothing over-the-top nourished. These definitely are fun, though!
I actually found that this pack was priced on the store's site at a dollar more than it's listed for on the card—don't sell yourself short, VineOh!
Dream Wild Ceramic Trinket Tray by Floor 9 - Value $12.00
I love trinket trays like this one. I like that it features a wine-inspired color of paint (or glaze, I suppose), but isn't overtly wine themed. It looks just as cute holding earrings in my bedroom as it would catching change on my kitchen table. It's pretty solid, too—I feel like the value here is right on the money for a nice ceramic dish like this one!
Metropolis Gourmet Popcorn, 3.5 oz - Value $6.00 (Listed Value $5.00)
While I'll always wish for chocolate, I'm a happy gal when I unwrap a pack of salty sweet caramel popcorn! This recipe is pretty mild, so if you're not a fan of super-sweet treats, you'll probably enjoy these kernels. A good handful of these buttery babies was more than enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. And afterward, I didn't feel like I needed to crash or drink a liter of milk to wash it down, like other more decadent desserts.
This was another one where the item was valued slightly lower on the card than I found it for online. It's not a huge difference, though. Sometimes when there's a huge discrepancy, I'll give a side-eye to the box, but here, if anything, they're undervaluing these nicer quality items!
Capabunga - Listed Value $5.00
One of these little toppers comes in every VineOh! box, and boy do I love 'em. Sliding one of these silicone caps onto the top of my wines is way easier than having to shove a cork back into the neck of the bottle.
New Crush Red Wine Blend - Listed Value $25.99
VineOh! makes its own custom wines, so I'm not surprised to see a brand that I received in my last box. This red blend is a pretty friendly wine—it's mild with a low-key, jammy fruitiness to it. But it's not super sweet, either. If I was more of a wine snob, I might say it's a bit middle of the road, but for me, it's the perfect casual, everyday red. If I'm coming home to crash after work, I probably won't want to break open a snazzy bottle, but this red is perfectly pleasant, tasty, and fuss-free.
Speechless Sauvignon Blanc - Listed Value $22
(This bottle wasn't available online when I wrote this review, so this is now updated to include a link and the correct listed price.)
I'd not had a Speechless wine from VineOh! before, but I really liked this white wine. This is another delightfully mild wine. I noticed a hint of mineral and pear-like notes (remember, I'm relatively new at wine, so hopefully those are the right words!). It's crisper, though not abrasively so, and again, a perfect wine for a casual night in. I might not show it off, but I'd definitely drink it myself.
Verdict: For $59.95 (plus free shipping), you get a lot of really nice quality products from VineOh! (about $124 worth of products). I liked that everything could be enjoyed separately, or enjoyed together as components of a relaxing night in. It's a little pricey, sure, but I think the products are worth it. I might've wanted slightly snazzier wines, but this is cheaper than a spa package and lets me indulge just the same.
