Now, on to the items!
Red Flower Cleansing Hair Wash in Ocean - 50 ml Value $5.90
This Ocean scent from Red Flower is an essential oil blend of clove bud, cardamom seed, laurel leaf oil, copaiba oil, and eucalyptus leaf oils. I absolutely love it. This isn't your typical haircare line scent - it's more like a spa experience.
Red Flower Softening Hair Conditioner in Ocean - 50 ml Value $6.75
And I'm always happy to receive a set of haircare products instead of just shampoo or conditioner!
New Chapter Perfect Hair Skin & Nails – (15 Capsules) Value $15
Here is the description of this supplement:
The Astaxanthin in Perfect Hair, Skin & Nails activates energy at the cellular level, revitalizing your skin from within and protecting your cells from damage.* Astaxanthin is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve your skin’s elasticity, and maintain your youthful appearance.* Fermented Biotin builds Keratin, the durable protein required for strong nails and healthy hair.*
I’ve noticed an increase in beauty supplements in boxes over the past year, and I’m all about it. (I take collagen powder daily.)
I sampled these before thanks to Love Goodly, and I can't say I noticed a difference, but as I take collagen everyday anyway, I might already be maxing out on my hair/nail/skin potential!
SHRAY Go-Getter Goddess Mask - Value $10
How cute is the packaging?
This mask is designed to help hydrate and brighten your skin.
It's your standard sheet mask. You leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then remove and let any excess serum absorb.
It left my skin feeling dewy and looking hydrated - no irritation, either!
Savannah Bee Tupelo Honey Lip Balm - Value $3.50
Back in the day (way back, like my Middle School days), Savannah Bee lip balm was one of my regular mall purchases at Bath and Body Works. I don't believe they carry the line anymore, and I'd forgotten about the brand, so this was a nice blast from the past!
And this lip balm is fab. It's super moisturizing, and I love that it's all natural/organic.
Shamanuti Activated Charcoal Cleanser – 1 oz Value $10
This is a gentle non-foaming gel cleanser that cleaned my skin without stripping it of moisture. And the natural scent is great, too. (I sampled this before thanks to Petit Vour, and I'm happy to have more!)
Poo-Pourri in Original Citrus - Value $5
If you aren't familiar with Poo Pourri, here's how it works:
Spritz 3-5 sprays into the toilet bowl on the water's surface. Proceed to #2 as usual. The natural essential oils create a barrier—trapping odor under the surface.
And the citrus spray is actually made with all natural essential oils - it smells good!
Good Spread - 1.15 oz Value $1.75
For every packet of peanut butter Good Spread sells, a malnourished child will receive an equivalent amount of therapeutic food.
And on top of that, this peanut butter is delicious! It's made with honey and cane sugar, so I'd consider it more of a somewhat healthy sweet treat, than your standard peanut butter.
And speaking of sweet treats...
Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities - Value $2
These candies are free of gluten, dairy, soy, GMOs, corn syrup, and artificial dyes. (They are 100% organic)
So basically, if you have a craving for Starbursts, these are the healthy(ish) way to go!
There are 3 flavors included: Pomegranate & Nectarine, Meyer Lemon & Raspberry, Blood Orange & Honey. (And they are all equally addictive in my opinion - I can't pick a favorite!)
Verdict: This box has a value of about $60. I think that's good for a $35 all-natural beauty and spa box. It's on the low-end value-wise for Yuzen, but I still think it's a good variety of items, (and I appreciate that there are some brands here that haven't been in Yuzen before).
What do you think of the Autumn 2017 Yuzen box? What is your favorite item?
