Lil'Lull Organic Muslin Swaddle - Value $6.65 (Buy a pack of 3 for $19.95 on Healthiest)
This soft swaddle is made from 100% organic cotton muslin. I love its classic cross print, and its 47" x 47" size is nice and generous for wrapping up baby. In addition to swaddling, you can also use this item as a receiving blanket, burp cloth, or nursing cover (among other things). I was pretty thrilled to find this in my box this month! You can never have too many swaddles.
Motherlove Birth and Baby Oil, 2 fl oz - Value $9.95
I wasn't familiar with the concept of using an oil during labor, but it makes so much sense. This apricot oil and lavender flower mixture is to be used for perineal massage and care during labor. Real talk, tearing is a huge concern for many pregnant women, myself included, so I will for sure be tossing this oil in my hospital bag to feel as prepared as ever. You can also use this oil on baby for simple skin moisturizing or cradle cap. Multiple uses is a huge bonus!
AnnaNaturals Postpartum Perineal Mist, Sample Size (0.5 oz?) - Value $2.25?
Along the same lines as the birthing oil, this mist is intended for use on the perineum post-delivery. Reviews state that it provides a cooling sensation during the uncomfortable healing process. Pain relief is provided by the main components, which are witch hazel and aloe vera extract. I love that this is packed with all natural ingredients, many of which are organic. Again, with severe injury during childbirth being a big worry of mine, I'm so glad to have this mist on hand to soothe any swelling.
Note that this sample-sized bottle doesn't list the number of ounces it holds. I'm guessing it's around 0.5 oz, so I figured out the value proportional to the 2 oz bottle listed on the AnnaNaturals site.
Thayers Natural Remedies Alcohol Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner, Travel Size, 3 oz - Value $3.99
I'm loving all of the postpartum self-care items in this box! As I round out 32 weeks, these are the kinds of products that I need to stock up on. It's so nice that 21 Bundles offers them in this "9 months" edition of their box.
I've used witch hazel as a facial toner, but it also has disinfectant properties and can be used to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. It's also great for treatment of the hemorrhoids that sometimes come with labor. Its tannins ease inflammation and can reduce bleeding. I love getting another multi-use product, and the rose petal scent is lovely.
Baby Soy Double Knot Hat - Value $8.00
This cute hat is so stretchy and soft! I still don't know that I'm sold on the 2 bunny ear-like tassels, but I do like that it can be worn 2 ways. In addition to the way its shown in my photo, you can also untie the knots and tie the "ears" together. I think that I prefer that look!
Baby Soy Modern Socks - Value $4.00
These silky little socks are comprised of 36% organic cotton, 36% azlon from soy, and 28% nylon. Their cuffs help to keep them on your little one's tiny feet and protect their delicate ankles. What a beautiful color, too!
Earth Mama Angel Baby Postpartum Bath Herbs, 3.3 oz - Value $5.99
This box comes with six herbal pads. They can be used as natural compresses for postpartum soothing—just wet and freeze—or in a warm bath. I've been loving other products from Earth Angel that I've tried throughout my pregnancy, so I'm excited to give these a go during my recovery after childbirth. It's nice that you receive six pads so you can experiment with what method of application works best to ease your specific discomforts.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Organics Milkmaid Tea, One Bag - Value $0.37 (Buy a box of 16 tea bags for $5.99 on Healthiest)
This herbal tea is said to support milk production. You receive only one tea bag in this box, so there's only enough to sample it. According to Earth Angel's description, this tea is formulated with "fenugreek, fennel, milk thistle, and other galactagogue herbs historically used by nursing mothers to promote healthy lactation." It's organic, caffeine-free, and totally safe for mom and baby!
Mambino Kissable Lips Lip Balm, 0.25 oz - Value $6.00
Verdict: My third 21 Bundles box was full of amazing products for the postpartum recovery process—an area that I hadn't previously given much attention to as far as stocking up on preparation items is concerned. I really appreciate that this box focuses on self-care rather than just baby items. It allowed me to sort of re-focus and come to terms with the fact that my little one is well on his way to arriving. (What?!) Going off of my estimations, you get about $48.00 of value out of this box (which ends up costing just over $40.00 after shipping). Here's another way to look at it—with ten items in this box (and three of them being samples), this box has a pretty reasonable value of $4 per item. I especially loved the swaddle!
