Every BarkBox is themed. This month sends your pup off to college - every dog parents' nightmare.

This month's information card is a cute little puppy acceptance letter!

BarkPack - Value $6

The first of two plush toys is a tiny backpack with Greek symbols on the face.

It even has little nylon straps on the back - good for tugging. Plus, and we didn't know this, there's a hidden tennis ball inside??

From BarkBox:

This backpack isn't just for show-- it's filled with a surprise (for your dog, at least) tennis ball, crinkle, and tons of fun (very light on your shoulders.) Plus, if your pup is small enough, it makes for a very adorable photo prop. Just saying.

He wasn't so sure what to do with it! But he's still cute nonetheless.

Pop A Chewski - Value $8

This toy was made for tougher chewers - it's made from ballistic nylon - let us know if it lasts for your pup!

The can pops off to be enjoyed by itself as well - and has a squeaker inside!

From BarkBox:

Ballistic nylon ensures this party is built to last…but there is a pill squeaker in each can, so watch out for noise complaints. T-shirt rope makes it a perfect toy for thrashing or tugging and general design is ideal for making you feel less weird about drinking alone.

Buckles isn't too sure he approves of the college party life.

Happy Howie's Beef Jerky Stick - Value $4

This was Buckles' favorite item in this month's box. It's also great for him since it contains no wheat, corn, or soy.

From BarkBox:

This beef stick from Happy Howie’s is sure to delight your dog. Made in the USA with real slow-cooked beef, it’s packed with long-lasting flavor. Easy to chew, but tough to tear apart, it’ll last minutes and hours, not mere moments. Big or small, your mutt will happily munch this all-natural beef treat without making it disappear in an instant. Best of all, this healthy dog chew is made without any funky filler, like wheat, corn, soy, or nitrates. If it were any more natural, it’d be mooing.

This product test went south right away. These aren't easily bit off, so Buckles and I got into a bit of a tug match for the beef stick:

I never realized the grip he could get on paper! I eventually won and broke off a piece for him to enjoy.

He broke it down into smaller pieces, but really loved it overall - he kept asking for more all day long.

Cheesy Furrito Treats - Value $8

These small trainer treats are made with a cream cheese base - Buckles approves!

From BarkBox:

Finally, fresh from the microwave goodness baked into a wholesome dog treat! Creamy cheese is blended with peas and flax to create a delicious snack that is reminiscent of our glory days spent loitering in a corner store parking lot.

Ingredients: Ground Peas, Cheese, Vegetable Glycerin, Tapioca Starch, Chickpea Flour, Ground Flax Seed, Canola Oil (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols, a natural source of Vitamin E), Salt, Pork Stock, Citric Acid, Acetic Acid, Lecithin, Annatto.

I really liked the size of these - perfect for when he's being really adorable, but I don't want him to fill up on treats.

I'm not sure he even tasted it with how quickly it was gone, but, again, he begged for more later in the day.

Bocce's Bakery Soft and Chewy Rewards - Value $8-10 (based on similar products in their shop)

The last treat in our box came from Bocce's Bakery.

These treats are made to balance your pup's diet and make sure they're not getting filled up with treats.

This dog goes insane anytime we get a rotisserie chicken in the house, so he'll go for ANY chicken treats - these were no exception.

Verdict: This was one of our best-ever deliveries from BarkBox! Typically, it comes with a chew that we have to gift to another dog due to Buckles' intolerance for them - so to get 5 items that suited him perfectly made this the ideal mix for our dog!

The theme this month is so cute. I think this box is just as much for the pet parent as it is for the pet. I agree that all the snacks look great and are small dog appropriate this month.

We got the same box as you, Bootzie prefers the bark pack it was her favorite. Yuki and her both loved the treats too.

This month was hilarious. Having serious chewers and the extra toy club, we got Chad the Frat Dude, the Fraternity Pledge Paddle (remember my kids making those, lol), and the Pup of Noodles. Oh my gosh, PERFECT! The letter of admission (Valedogtorian) and the class selection list including extra furriculars was sooooo funny! BarkBox hit it out of the park this month!

Cornflake

We got the Pup Noodles toy (adorable!) and a fraternity paddle, both for heavy chewers. Love their toys!
