Does anyone think they will come out with a $$ off coupon this month? I want to sub so bad for the Nia cream but know the minute I do, they will come out with a coupon code lol

I cancelled after last month’s box. This box has so much potential with the product lines that Dermstore carries. I already take supplements that I like, and it seems like the last few months they have really been hogging the value in the boxes. I subbed to this box because I wanted to try high end professional line skincare and hair products. The kinds they carry in spas, like in Dermstore. They do have some in the boxes but not like I’d hoped.

I dont understand why everyone is so opposed to the HUM Nutrition supplements. OR the subscription plan they offer. It works perfectly- every month, right before I’m out of my supplements, they send me more so I’m never out. The hair and nails one is amazing! My hair and nails have never been so strong or long. Naysayers should try them before knocking them.

Which ones do you use? I have thinning hair and brittle nails from constantly putting my hands in cleaning solution (I work in a restaurant), but I can’t take any supplements with Biotin because they break me out really bad.

Oh I’d love to know about the hair and nails one, not for my hair but my nails are begging for something. I haven’t been able to grow them in over a year . I know my body is trying to tell me something but who knows what it is. And I’ve resumed with them again that neck cream drew me right in

I have received so many supplements from boxes & GWPs that I haven’t had to buy any for almost a year! That’s fine by me. 🙂

I will trash everything but the Nia 24… totally still worth it, though. I don’t support Hum’s Subscription model of sales, so I don’t use their products. Otherwise, everything else is a repeat or uninteresting.

It seems like this website glorifies the subscription model of sales so that is any interesting position to take lol

Why won’t people try the supplements? Medical reasons?

I am not dissapointed at all. I was going to cancel because money is tight this month, but the NIA cream kept me on as it is full-size and has a 5-star rating. I am pretty excited for the hum packets, too. I’ll probably save the primer for next summer, as things have aleady dried out up here in New York.

I’m super excited to get the perfume sample. Their ‘vanille abricot’ is my favorite scent. I hope this one is as good.
Everything else in the box looks good. Things I won’t use I can gift to friends and family. I’m looking forward to the sun damage lotion.

Is it just me, or are beauty boxes as a whole getting worse? This box has one hero item and the rest are basically fillers. I’m getting bummed!

Amy,
No I don’t think it’s just you. I have Unsubbed to many boxes now due to such a lack of decent size, quality or non expired products. Beautyfix was the first to go with all the expired crap they kept sending me. The items were mostly boring after being subbed 18 months. I like makeup, your lucky to get 1 makeup item in them so I quit them fast. Glossybox USED to be awesome now they suck. I’ve never liked birchbox the entire 2 years I’ve been with them. I’ve ditched them as well. If you will fill your profile out to what you want I think Ipsy is the way to go. I have 2 and every month each bag is worth over $100 and it’s all stuff I want and 90% full sized items. Boxycharm is THE BEST for quality makeup. It’s for sure worth the $21 a month. I think with all the beauty subs there are now maybe companies aren’t giving as good of products to the vendors who own the boxes? When there were less maybe the companies wanted to get their products out there so they gave full size good items, but now that there’s a zillion beauty box subs they can’t do that with each one? I know that I get the same stuff in many beauty boxes, like for instance Manna Kadar first it was the bronzer. Then the blush then the eyeshadow and now mascara I can only assume lipstick will be next! (From every beauty box I used to be subbed to!)
My point is EVERY beauty box had Manna Kadar in it. So there’s obviously a connection with the same brands being in all beauty boxes.
Some boxes have kept their value and stayed exactly as they were a year ago and others went from sending department store items to head and shoulders shampoo REALLY? For $21 a month glossybox? I’m SO DONE with them, except you can’t get undone with them….I’m having to close my checking account because of them and luckily my credit card is a prepaid Walmart card so I will just get a new number. They DO NOT answer ANY customer service complaints nor respond to customer emails. However beautyfix’s customer service was at least decent.

I was going to ditch Ipsy as well, until they really started paying attention to my reviews. If I flagged something as “cruelty-free” in a review, I found I got more CF products in my next box. So now I give good reviews to CF products and bad reviews to non-CF products, and in my last few bags I have received almost exclusively CF items. So I think they really stepped up their game when it came to listening to their suscribers, and that’s what kept me on as a customer.

My second favorite item is the Bioderma micellar water. It’s in a cute fat short bottle that’s small enough to take on a plane. I bet I have the bottle a long time. Its retail value is almost $7. The only things I won’t use are the nutritional supplements and the fragrance, which is a very small sample anyway. The value of the box is in items I will use and enjoy. I like the box even more as I look at it.

I totally agree! Love this box except for the supplements and probably the perfume.

This may be the second time I’ve ever been bummed with beauty fix. I have like 12 mascaras just on my swap site, and this one will be added. No one wants or needs mascara on swaps though. Hum will go up for swap as well.

Great discovery box! I haven’t had the chance to try any of these products yet. That’s impressive since I have at least 6 beauty boxes!

Tanya
Where’s your swap site. Mascara you say? 😊

Tara
The swap site is on this website! You have to sign up for it. Sometimes there’s a waiting list. I have gotten so many amazing items from it and gotten rid of so many things I wasn’t going to use!

The reason I subbed to Beautyfix is because I wanted to avoid getting the mascara samples that run rampant in most beauty sub boxes. Only tubing mascara stays on me, so I automatically can’t use any mascara sample I get. It’s such a letdown to see Beautyfix send a mascara.

Same here, re: needing tubing mascara. I’m curious which one/ones are you favorites? I’m always on the lookout for good ones as several I used to use either went off the market or changed formulation.

My favorite mascara is Make Up For Ever Extravagant Smokey. Found it through subs, and every time I stray I am sorry. NO transfer, last all day. I prefer the fat bristles to the silicone bristles. My second favorite is Too Faced Better Than Sex, but I do get more transfer with that one.
Donna
I’ve used L’Oreal Beauty Tues for years. It’s the most widely available and I don’t see much of a difference over the clinique tubing mascara. I recently picked up Dejavu fiberwig mascara nd I like it a lot too.
Tanya
Maybe the mascara is full sized but even if not am happy to get it. Small box but I look forward to it!!! I’m willing to try anything to getnshine under control

Barb

and where is the coupon? Did I miss something?

Oh god, I’m so overwhelmed with Manna Kadar stuff. Can we stop receiving them for a while pls ?
Reply
Shelby
H, I am right there with you! I’m starting to lose interest with boxes that have too much Manna Kadar. It feels like a cheap brand with it so over-saturated in the sub boxes.
Reply
Barb
The full size version of the mascara sample is $29, so it isn’t cheap. I hope we’ll like it. I’m happy with the box for the hand cream.
vanessa
At least it’s not GLOW!!
Svetlana7e
Only one full size item :(, but what I like about BF is that they include something new (well Manna Kadar is not counted, even so have not tried her mascara). Looking forward to try all the items.
