Now let's take a look at what's inside!
Power Mix by Nuts.com, sample size - Value: $2.50 (buy a 1 lb. bag for $6.99)
I love a good fruit & nut power mix and this did not disappoint! The mix contains mostly dried fruits and not too many nuts, which I like it that way. I like to add fruit mixes like this to my oats in the morning because all the ingredients are packed with energy and a great way to start your day.
Dude Shower Wipes, 2 packs wipes received - Value: $2.00 (buy a 10 pack for $9.99)
I've seen "on the go" shower wipes before but these are much better quality and don't get soapy, which is a good thing because you may not be near water to rinse off. The material is like a thick paper towel and the scent smells quite fresh! I can see myself using these for camping trips next summer or even after the gym if I'm in a hurry.
Smartphone Wallet - Value: $6.95 (buy a similar product on Amazon)
I've always liked these smartphone wallets; they're great for guys because our pocket space is limited and it's smart to combine two of the bulkiest items we are always carrying around! The 3M adhesive is pretty secure on my phone case, so I won't have to worry about this falling off and the overall quality of the microfiber front is soft and expandable - so this should hold more than just a silicone front smartphone wallet.
Dude Face Wipes, 30 count - Value: $6.99
I use face wipes most nights before bed, so this was a great addition to this months box for me! These wipes are fragrance free, which I prefer because I don't want to go to bed smelling of a strong scent and are great for any cleanup after shaving - Another great addition to this month's cube and anyone who is trying to keep clean throughout the day!
Kind Breakfast Bar - Blueberry Almond, 1.8 oz. -Value: $0.79 (buy a 32 pack for $25.23)
I'm a grab and go breakfast kind of guy for the most part, so these bars were a great addition to the cube! The blueberry almond flavor is quite delicious and you receive two bars per pack, which is plenty for a normal breakfast in my opinion.
Kind Breakfast Bar - Honey Oat, 1.8 oz. - Value: $0.79 (buy a 32 pack for $25.23)
I also received a honey oat flavor and I think this flavor may be even tastier than the blueberry! I don't think I've ever met a KIND bar I've haven't liked - Another win in this month's cube!
Krave Beef Jerky - Chili Lime, 1 oz. - Value: $2.15 (buy a 3.25 oz. bag for $7.00)
I'm a jerky addict and tend to buy this brand here and there, but I've never had this flavor, so this was a nice treat! The flavoring is pretty zesty which I appreciate and it packs quite a zing; I'll be sure to buy more of this flavor moving forward.
RXBAR - Chocolate Sea Salt, 1.83 oz. - Value: $2.17 (buy a 12 pack for $25.99)
I'm a big fan of protein bars and have always seen but never purchased this brand, so this was another nice addition to the cube. The flavoring on this bar is truly great (sea salt really comes through) and I love that all main ingredients are directly on the front of the packaging - I'll surely be buying more of these in the future!
Sweedish Fish, 2 oz. - Value: $0.38 (buy a 14 oz. bag for $2.68 on Amazon)
They threw in a classic here and one of my personal favorites - Swedish Fish! I haven't had these sweet gummy treats in quite some time and definitely forgot how delicious they were!
Sriracha Popcorn, 0.75 oz. - Value: $0.52 (buy a 4.5 oz bag for $3.09)
I'm a huge fan of both popcorn and sriracha but I've never had them together - spoiler alert, these rock! They are quite spicy but not enough from keeping me from eating the entire bag; these are truly delicous and I want to spread the good word that these exist!
Sheila G's Brownie Brittle - Salted Caramel, 2.75 oz - Value: $2.19 (buy a 5 oz. bag for $3.99)
These bite size brownie bites are a nice addition for the chocolate fix in this month's cube. The brittle isn't overly sweet or crumbly and will pair nicely with coffee and tea! I'm not the biggest fan of chocolate but these are nice to have around to share with friends who are.
Plastic Water Bottle - Value: $5.00?
This bottle doesn't have any branding on it, so I was unable to find and my value is an estimate. This water bottle is a nice addition to the box but is very basic and isn't of the highest quality. It's BPA free, dish washer safe and made in the USA. I don't really have a need for any more plastic water bottles, so I'll be sure to give this to someone who will put it to good use.
Verdict: This was my first experience with CampusCube and I'm pretty impressed for the most part! I think they do a great job of sending a variety of snacks that are sweet and healthy, along with products that kids in College will actually use and appreciate. The value received, with my estimate on the water bottle, is around $35, which is about $5 less than the cost paid for the box, $39.95. Even though that value received is lower, I still think this is a good buy and students will appreciate it.
