And here's this month's outfit! Can you tell how much I love it? I was so stoked! Let's break it down...

Marika Double Drape Tank, Size Medium - Value $22.99 (Retail Value $45.00)

After a summer of neon accents in my Ellie boxes, this month's pop of color is... olive! I love olive. It tends to be really flattering to me, and the understated tone captures the effortlessly cool vibe I love to sport in and outside of my workouts. Yay yay yay!

In trying this top on, I let the tag tell me what side was the back. And it's the high side! That said, you can check out #LoveEllie on Instagram to see examples of women wearing it forward and backward beautifully. If I was wearing this out and about, I would probably wear it with the high side as the front. But it is kind of cool as a wrap-like top. I could see swooping this on during savasana for just a touch of extra warmth. It is delightfully breezy and soft. (The fabric composition is 95% Rayon, 5% Spandex, by the way.)

Marika Annabell Sports Bra, Size Medium - Value $50.00?

I just linked to something similar, rather than this exact bra, since I couldn't find this product online. But similar bras from this brand go for about $50.00, so that seems like a fair guess!

I love the mesh and solid black elastic band that trims this black bra (which is 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex/Elastane). It feels really comfortable and secure—it's just webbing, but the back really does hug nicely to my shoulders.

Marika Jordan Evade Legging, Size Large - Value $24.95 (Retail Value $55.00)

Ellie, you're three for three this month, because I love these leggings, too! Comfy and on the thicker side, this pair reminds me of some of my favorite Fabletics styles. They have a soft yet sturdy high waist, and a super cool diagonal mesh stripe design across each shin. I feel awesome in these gray and black leggings—secure, snug, and most importantly, incredibly cool!

Balance Collection Deluxe Yoga Block - Value $6.97 (Retail Value $15.00)

I'm a regular yogi, but I usually just borrow a block at my studio. Say hello to my first-ever yoga block! I love the idea of bringing a stylish block to the yoga studio with me. And since it'll live at my house, I can expand my at-home practice, too! (Hello, living room half moon pose!)

I couldn't find this color combo online, but I linked to something similar.

Balance Collection Yoga Grip Socks - Value $11.97?

This specific pair of grippy socks was hard to find, but I linked to a very similar pair for what seems like a fair price. This pair of socks looks like a cute set of Mary Janes! I wore them while doing a YouTube workout in the living room, and they stayed put beautifully on the wood floor. I haven't done a barre class in awhile, but I might have to dive back into it now that I have such great socks for it!

Bonus: Ellie Drawstring Backpack - Value $10.00?

Oh, and check this out! This month's box came with a little drawstring bag in Ellie's signature metallic rose gold! I'm most excited about the color, but I also like the external zip pocket and the slight stretch in the fabric makes it easy to stuff a whole hoodie or pair of sneaks in this bag, no problemo. I just took a guess at what the value of this lined bag is, but I think $10.00 is fair for the quality.

Verdict: Going by my estimations, I got about $127.00 worth of products. And that's going by the sale prices I found! The box itself is about $50.00, which means each item should be worth at least about $10.00. Most items doubled that, which balanced out the less-expensive pieces (like the block). Bottom line, I think it's awesome to have nabbed this entire stylish, comfortable outfit (and some awesome gear) for what just one of these pieces might have cost in the store at retail price!

This and Fabletics have given me a awesome work out wardrobe. Very stylist and high quality and easy to skip the boxes I don’t like or want. Love Ellie <3

Love this outfit…both in general & on you!!
This will be my first Ellie box & it’s not something I’ll get every month but it’s calling to me. I’m wondering about sizing though for the top…for anyone who has it would you say it runs large? The few draped tops I have tend to run quite large + they tend to easily accommodate larger girls (3DD) & broad shoulders w/ out having to size up. I’m generally a large in tops but have my fair share of Mediums & XLs as well so keep vasilating. debating btwn a L & a Med in this one; FWIW I’m also long waisted, though per the pic the length doesn’t appear to be an issue. Anyone w/ this top – or others from the same brand – have any thoughts?

I’m similarly torn re: bra sizing. Per the chart I’m definitely a large but I nearly always size down on sports bras for more support; asking as I can still breath I’m okay w/ it being pretty tight but I also don’t tend to wear such strappy styles so am not sure if my usual sizing approach will translate so yeah…again any/ all thoughts welcome & much appreciated!!

Aside from the sizing decisions though in super excited to be able to snag this box/ outfit. The draped style of the top is a favorite of mine; I have some unique medical “extras” – chest IV + 2 abdominal tubes – & these types of draped tops are perfect for me. Kohl’s had a casual-wear version last summer in their J Lo line – thicker straps, a less revealing neck, & not reversible – & I still regret only getting three! I also really like a similarly draped Fabletics sweatshirt snagged on clearance. So yeah, draped but still tailored tops are my weakness! The reversibility of this one & the fact that it’s olive is only a bonus!!

This is my favorite box so far. I loved everything. I’ve been wearing the top with the opening in the back and it’s really cute.

I keep wanting to love this box – but they keep messing it up. I either get some weird variation or they have long shipping delays. It makes it hard to get excited about getting this box.

You look great in the outfit! You can wear the shirt either way, Terry.

Agreed,it looks great. And the shirt IS meant to be worn either way.

Terri

Thanks for the review, great box! I just wanted to note that the shirt is on backwards. The opening is to show off the cute straps in the back. Also, when the bra is cutting into you that means it is too small and to go with the next size up.

Reply ButtonReply

Ks

That’s not accurate at all. I always have pudge with strappy designs. It has nothing to do with the bra being too small.

Anna Reilly

Thanks, Terri! I just went by where the tag was on the top and put that side in the back. After checking out the Ellie site and social media for clarification, it looks like you can wear that top forwards or backwards, depending on your style. I’ll probably wear it the way you suggest more often than not, though!

And thanks for the tip on the bra! Just to clarify, in case anyone with a similar body type is considering this bra in this size: I have broad shoulders and a little bit of pudge on ’em at that, and I can see in the picture why it might look like it’s cutting into me. But truly, I think that’s just the nature of my squishy shoulder blades 🙂 This bra actually is really comfortable, rather than cutting – the band and the straps hug my body in a really nice way, so that I feel snug, but not like I’m being smooshed into it. I feel like if I went a size up, I’d risk losing the secure feeling that I appreciate in a bra (especially one destined for the twists and turns of a yoga class).

Hopefully that explains things a little better? Thanks so much for reading, Terri!

The shirt can be worn either way. She’s not wearing it backwards. There is technically no backward way to wear this top!
