Farm Momma September 2017 Women's Lifestyle Subscription Box

The vibe of this box gives me so much pleasure. You know that this is a small business you are supporting and that the owner of Farm Momma, Jess, is in turn supporting other small businesses with the items she chooses.

It’s a Sister Project Wooden Pumpkin Sign - Value $9.00?

This painted wooden sign from Etsy seller: It’s a Sister Project is adorable. I love the #pumpkin sentiment with the black and orange color scheme. Similar wooden fall signs sell for $9.00 though I don’t see this exact one for sale at this time.

As I’ve come to expect from Farm Momma the wrapping is always too precious.

Cedars and Grace Co Fall Prints - Value $10.00?

These autumn inspired fall prints are cute, but I have to admit I’m just not excited when I get these prints in subscription boxes. I think wooden signs like the one in this box or something that was framed would be much more desirable. Also, the “Hello Fall” sign is not centered on the paper which feels careless to me. When I went to the Cedars and Grace Co Etsy page they don’t show prints like these so I am estimating the values based on other Etsy prints I have seen.

Gourds - Value $3.00?

I emailed Jess (owner of Farm Momma) with a shipping question and in her very prompt and friendly reply, she mentioned that the gourds in the box are from her own family’s farm. I thought that was a very sweet touch and certainly fit the fall theme of this month’s package. I especially love the white gourd because it has the twisty vine still attached. It was packaged in a teal berry basket giving it a very down-home country feel.

Wreathes - Value $3.00?

These two small wreaths didn’t have any literature as to who made them so I’m wondering if Jess made them herself. They are both quite simple and small. I think the skinnier one with the white berries would be lovely at the base of a pillar candle. The thicker one with the red flower looks nice hanging off a hook or window latch.

Cotton Ticking Bag - Value $3.00?

As with the wreaths, this cotton ticking bag had no tag or literature to accompany it. It’s very small and I haven’t yet thought of a good use for it. If you have one please let me know in the comments.

Here is one way you may wish to display your Farm Momma September items if you want them on a table.

Farm Momma September 2017 Women's Lifestyle Subscription Box

I preferred to display the items on my antique dental cabinet. I think they really bring a nice touch of fall to our dining room.

Verdict: Farm Momma was packaged beautifully again and felt like such a treat to unbox. I do wish the value had been higher, however. This month it came to around $28 (with my estimations) which is less than the $31.49 monthly cost (free shipping to the US) and I’d love to see that the value come up a bit in future months, but I firmly believe this box’s value lies more in its curation. I missed the little notes and vendor information that was included last month. Other than the wooden sign and prints there was no way to know where these items came from.
