Five Four Club is a monthly men’s clothing subscription service. You take a brief survey when you sign up (sizes and style preferences), and then each month they send you on average 2-3 new clothing pieces or accessories. For reference, my style profile is “T-Shirt and jeans.”

I've been subscribing March 2013 and in general, I'm very happy with the quality of the clothing and the value - especially the t-shirts. (We’ve found the sizing to be similar to American Eagle’s sizing if that helps!)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Last month, I had the pleasure of choosing my clothing - but that wasn't the case this month. The delivery was straightforward - two dress shirts and 2 pairs of socks.

Josh Button Up Shirt

My first of two button-up shirts is from the Josh line.

It's a nice, thicker, fabric for the upcoming colder weather. While I'm not a big button-up shirt guy, I do tend to wear a lot of flannel in the Fall. I gave this a whirl, and to my surprised - I like it!

My account says that this is my 55th month of Five Four Club (wow!) - and I must say that their clothing has come a long way. It's been quite a while since I've had tight shoulders or just weird fits in general - and this shirt fits as expected.

Lamar

My second shirt is from the Lamar line from Five Four.

Construction-wise, it's really similar to the Josh shirt above, maybe a tad less thick.

The main difference for me was that this one felt a bit more formal than the Josh shirt - so I didn't like it nearly as much.

Cut and Sew No Show Socks

The last two items in my box are always a joy for me - socks! Now, I'm sure there will still be warm weather, so I'm happy to get these no show socks, even if it's only to collect some for next spring.

Their no show socks are almost like little booties. It's a 'sporty' material that does well to wick away sweat.

They even have the logo on the bottom - and it's a bit like a little anti-slip padding. I'm a big fan of their no-show socks!

Verdict: When I opened my package, I was not excited and really disappointed. But, after giving everything a fair shot - I'm actually liking at least one of the button-up shirts, which is rare for me. And, of course, the socks are always an A+ in my book. I did take a new style survey when logging into my account - I'm hoping that, in conjunction with me picking my own box last month, will help them curate better!
