Good Being Box Subscription Review – September 2017

Good Being box is a natural and organic beauty box. Each month you'll receive a box customized to your beauty profile. (This is a box that will have some variation between subscribers.)

There are now two different categories of Good Beings Box: Beauty or Lifestyle. (Lifestyle will include a mix of beauty and non-beauty items.)

And for each category you can get the standard subscription, or the mini!

You also get to pick two of your products each month for the Standard subscription.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Good Being Box (Lifestyle Standard)

The Cost: $24.95 a month for the Beauty or Lifestyle Standard Box, $9.95 for Beauty or Lifestyle Mini

The Products: Eco-friendly beauty and wellness products.

Ships to: US only.

Check out my Good Being reviews and the Eco-friendly Subscription Box Directory for similar boxes!

Every box comes with cards detailing each product.

Now, on to the items!

Alima Pure Eye Pencil in Merlot - FULL SIZE! Value $18

This is a deep plum wine eyeliner that looks almost brown on, so it's very wearable for me, and a little different than what I usually wear.

It glides on so smoothly, too. Here it is swatched:

MyChelle Incredible Pumpkin Peel - FULL SIZE! Value $28

The great fall debate: are you team pumpkin spice? I am all about that pumpkin, so I had to pick this mask as my other item for the month.

And the peel did not disappoint! You can smell the real pumpkin as soon as you take off the foil seal!

The formula is designed to help exfoliate and give you a smooth complexion. And it only takes 3 minutes! It tingled a little while on, and then I removed it to find super smooth and clean skin.

Travel Pro Probiotic Protection To Go - Value $20

My husband would call me an obsessive hand sanitizer user, but I would say I am the right amount of concerned about germs. So no surprise, I was excited to see this in the box!

This set includes a travel sized spray, hand sanitizer, and cleaner.

Everything is alcohol and fragrance free, too. (And safe for humans and pets!)

I'm especially excited about this mist - it seems to be like a fragrance-free Febreeze.

I normally wipe down all handles, faucets, remotes, etc. with antibacterial wipes in hotel rooms, and now I'll be spritzing the bedding and furniture!

Everbiotics On The Go Packets - (5) Value $6.85

This is a vegetarian item and contains probiotics, prebiotics (e.g., fiber), and superfoods with lots of antioxidants.

This actually tasted not bad mixed with water! (I'm always assuming the worst with supplement powders.) You can also mix it into a smoothie, yogurt, etc.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $72.85. That's great for a $24.95 natural beauty box, especially when you consider that Good Being lets you pick two of your items every month. And it turns out I really liked my surprise items this month - especially my santizer kit!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? I believe your first box will be the October box, but I've reached out to verify.

Coupon –Use LYESKA for a free Cleanser or ALIMADUO for a free Eyeliner set in your First Box.

Value Breakdown: At $24.95 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Eyeliner: $6.16
  • Pumpkin Peel: $9.59
  • Sanitizer Kit: $6.85
  • Probiotics: $2.35

What do you think of the September Good Being Box? Which products did you pick this month?

I love my box this month! I got the same pumpkin peel and merlot eye liner. I also got a Rutz elixir mist and a bamboo charcoal exfoliating sponge.

I tried the pumpkin peel tonight & it’s really nice. It smells like pumpkin pie.

What really impresses me is that with my first box (last month), they asked if there were any products I wanted to try. I sent three, saying any of them would be great. I got one of them in my first box – and another (the elixir mist) in this box! It makes the box feel so personalized and I appreciate that they cared enough to ask and follow through beyond the first box. Plus that means I chose 3 of the 4 items. Pretty cool!

Only downside is how long it took to ship this month… Just got it today and the pick window for the following month is open until the 17th so you can edit it if you received anything from the pick last that month. But my box arrived 2 days after the pick window closed… So either this month was abnormal or their logic is a little off. Overall, loving it though!!

I already had the merlot eyeliner (received free from Alima Pure!), so I tried navy. It doesn’t look as bold on as you would expect, and it makes my blue-gray eyes seem more vibrant. I love the application of their eyeliners, but I do wish they didn’t rub off so easily.

While my skin is combination, I got the cactus mask for my drier winters. I had to try it right away, and loved the smell and how soft it made my face. Even though the tube is small, I think this will last quite awhile.

I also got the probiotic sanitizer/cleaner. I’ve been trying to find a good cleaner for my bathroom (especially the shower!), and will give this one a try.

Finally, I requested the Shamanuti Sun Butter. I love their cleanser, but I’m just not fond of how “heavy” the sun butter feels on my face after application.

Regardless, this was a great month, and Goodbeing is still my favorite beauty box!

I signed up for the pumpkin peel too! I hope I get it.

I wasn’t crazy about them at 1st – I’ll admit, I signed up for a sub when I was either drunk or high on a painkiller. But after the initial box which was rough, they’ve really turnt out to be a good investment & I’ve kept it going.

Been introduced to some really good lines thru GB.

I love this box. I got the Merlot eyeliner and pumpkin peels as well. My two surprise items were a rosemary lotion stick and sample brightening facial serum samples.
