Hello Kitty Tin Pencil Case - Value $5.90
This is quite a substantial pencil case since it's tin and also has a removable tray. I don't care too much for the motif of this particular one with cream and pink stripes, and a checkered pattern. The inside tray has a multiplication table in case you don't have a calculator handy and need to know what 6x8 is. This comfortably fits a lot of stationery items like pens, pencils, and erasers, but I wouldn't carry it with me since it seems like it'd clang around a lot. It is a licensed Sanrio item and well made though!
Fairy Tale Hair Clip Set - Value $2.90
This set of 3 hair clips doesn't really do it for me. I'm not a hair clip person to begin with, but these almost have a Disney princess vibe that isn't my style. Also- as I was detaching them from the card they came on, one broke off immediately. I'll probably pass the remaining two on to someone else.
Korean Diary Deco Stickers - Value $2.10
I actually just purchased a planner last week, so I'm stoked on these stickers to add in. A lot of them are in Korean, but some are just cute illustrations to denote weather, snacks, or a number of random things you may want to keep track of! I love the little umbrella.
Happy Nikukyu Cat Paw Gummies - Value $3.60
I've learned to call paws "peets" now, I think via Buzzfeed. These cute lil white and pink gummies look exactly like paw pads of my favorite furry friends. They also taste like yummy peaches!
Uranaikko Colored Pencil Set with Sharpener - Value $3? (I couldn't find this set on blippo.com)
Here we have a little colored pencil set featuring 12 different colors with a sharpener built into the lid. The pencils are super soft when writing and are very vibrant. Each pencil is only 3.5" tall, so this is a good set for travel!
Fruit Washi Masking Tape Set - Value $3.60
I don't have any washi tape with fruit on it yet, so these are my first! The packaging is super kawaii as it is, and then each tape has a different cute fruity design. The first one I got has illustrated strawberries that says "fresh berries" on it, and the other features blueberries with little ice cream cones. Too cute!
Unicorn Squishy Charm - Value $2.60
I can always count on Kawaii Box to deliver me a brand new squisher, and today I got this unicorn with blue eyes, mane, and horn. She stands tall until you need to do some squishing. Of course, she is completed with a loop to hang as a charm. Very magical!
Kawaii Hand Sanitizer Bottle - Value $2.90
This one has me scratching my head a little. I'm not a user of hand sanitizer, but this item is simply the bottle without the actual sanitizer included. Perhaps those who use this stuff have a large refill bottle ready and waiting, but I don't. The one I received is a magenta color with a happy colorful ice cream cone and adjustable gummy strap to hang off your bag. I could see this being taken along on a trip to Kennywood to clean up Potato Patch Fries hands.
Disney Ufufy Plushie in Daisy Duck - Value $6.90
As I mentioned before, I'm not a big Disney fan, so this little Daisy Duck plush coin purse doesn't excite me like a San-X item would. She is cute and squaty at about 3.5" tall and has a pale lavender zipper that matches her dress to hold your coins or other small items in.
Little Animals Stationery Set - Value $3.50
I normally love a pencil case, especially when it comes with some other items like this one does with two regular pencils, a mechanical pencil, a ruler, a pencil sharpener, and an eraser, but this one just feels a little blah to me. It's very adorable, but I'm always expecting more licensed Japanese items from this subscription. I gifted this to my friend Kelly though who was more than happy to take it off of my hands.
Verdict: Kawaii Box kinda missed the mark for me this month! That is super rare, so I'm not going to let it phase me. If there's one thing I know, it's that you can't please all of the people all of the time, right? We all take that gamble when subscribing to each box! The cost of this subscription is $24.90 and I received just $37 worth of items. That's certainly a good value, but I'm not sure I'll be using much more than the stickers and eating the gummies this month.
