This month's pack is all about travel, wanderlust, and adventure! The info card has a decorative-print-level design on the reverse side. Love the geeky flair.
Tiny Swedish Flag - Value $0.25?
First, some non-pin treats. The first thing I pulled from this bag was this tiny toothpick flag for Sweden. I just went to Stockholm this spring, so I was actually kind of delighted to see this familiar flag. But now I'm wondering what I'll do with this tiny paper trinket. The dream would be sticking it in a cupcake (because then I'd have a cupcake). For now, I might washi-tape it to the top of a pen so that it can live in my pen cup.
This item was actually not mentioned on the info card, so I just guessed at the cost!
Vintage Travel Postcard - Listed Value $1.00
This is a cute idea for a travel-focused package. It's sweet how they've made the paper look old-timey and rough around the edges. I feel like the image on the postcard might be a bit too Lifetime movie for me, but I do think it's a charming little extra.
Credit Card Protection Sleeve - Listed Value $1.00
I'm a little underwhelmed by this item, I'm not gonna lie. It's basically just a simple foil sleeve made to slide your credit cards inside—the info card says it blocks people with RFID readers (basically a scanner that can zap your card from afar) from taking information off of your credit card. That's really handy for travel, but I feel like that's... not what I expected in this subscription. It's only worth a dollar, according to the info card, but I would've loved for this to instead be a sticker or at least have some kind of cool design on it.
Get Lost Sticker - Listed Value $1.00
There is a sticker in the pack, and luckily enough, it's just the right size for decorating the credit card sleeve! (I'm still side-eyeing the sleeve, though...) This sticker is about the size of a yearbook photo and has a light, paper-ish weight to it. It has a nice gloss, though, and you can kind of feel the texture of the thick ink.
Up- and Moana-Inspired Buttons - Listed Value $2.00
I love little nickel-sized buttons like these! And I'm sure the Disney inspirations will make plenty of customers happy. I haven't seen Moana yet, so I wasn't wowed about that green button. (I know, I know, it sounds so good!!!) Maybe I'll gift it to a fan of the movie for now!
Hobbit Hole Patch - Listed Value $8.00
Now this story I know very well! I love Lord of the Rings, so I was thrilled to see some of its iconic locations captured in this big beautiful patch! This index-card-sized patch has the greatest mix of rich colors, plus a plastic backing that seems ready for the iron. I can't wait to add this to my backpack!
Bon Voyage Pin - Listed Value $10.00
How cool is this enamel pin?! I love the globe shape, but what really sells me is the image of mountains and pine trees—that's precisely the kind of environment I'd like to escape to! The pin is only about an inch and a half long, but it does come with two posts on the back. I appreciate when pins have multiple posts since it helps keep them really secure. I'm so happy with how crisp and beautifully made this pin is!
Verdict: Laserbrain Patch Co is just $12.50/month plus shipping (which was $3.50 for me), but it had a value of about $23.25. While I didn't get much personal value out of the non-pin-or-patch items, I do think the pricing is fair. Nice pins and patches tend to start at about $10.00 a pop (especially if the patches are big like this one). So to me, this subscription isn't just adorable, but also really worth it!
What do you think about Laserbrain Patch Co? Do you wear or collect enamel pins or embroidered patches?
