The Beauty Vault VIP Subscription from Le Metier De Beaute is a luxury beauty subscription box that cost me $348 upfront for the entire year.

This box came with a card detailing the item included, instructions for use, and ingredients.

Now, on to the item!

Le Metier de Beaute Detoxifying Charcoal & Coconut Face Mask - Size/Value?

Eek - not the best packaging for this type of product. It was messy even before I opened it!

(This is a pre-release product. VIP subscribers get exclusive access to try it first!)

The mask has a gritty/goopy texture and dried on my skin in about 7 minutes. I love a good peel off mask, and this one was easy to pull off and gentle on my skin. And my mores appeared to be smaller after using it, so I'm happy!

Verdict: I'm not sure of the value of this box since this is a pre-release product, but it's a pretty great mask. Of course, I would almost always like to receive full-size makeup with this subscription, but you can't get that every month, right? (I almost feel like we have to get the skincare samples to earn the palettes!)

What do you think of the August Beauty Vault VIP box?

I got 2 uses from it and then gave it to a friend who is always looking for the perfect mask to help her reduce her pore size.

The smell was too strong for me to really enjoy the mask. You can’t put it on too thick or the stuff just won’t dry (and won’t peel off).

I saw another review that this was a pre-release for a 1 oz. mask retailing for $135. You’ll never see me pay that much for a mask in such small quantity. But then again, I’m not much of a mask person anyway.

The biggest disappointment was in the packaging. I was a VIP member the first two years of the program, got out, and this is my first year back. For a highend line, the presentation was disgraceful. Mine came in a big box the container wrapped in bubble wrap rolling around in the box. WTH? Could you at least put some black wrapping paper in the box please??

This was my first month and was a little surprised when I opened my box. Especially after the long wait from sign up to first box. Curious what next month will bring.

I liked this mask (I love masks). The alcohol smell is a bit overwhelming at first but the mask is non-drying and did leave my skin feeling smooth and tight. The packaging was not the best but I think I should be able to get about 5 uses out of it.

This is either my 4th or 5th year and this was by far the worst month, particularly presentation wise. If someone were not aware that LMdB is a high end line they would not have any indication that it is based on the presentation of this product. On the plus side, I appreciated the new card that accompanied the mask as I do like some information on the product every month and it is nice to try something pre release.

I looked into it and a different mask they currently sell is 1 ounce and $135 at Neiman Marcus. I emailed LMBT and ask edthem about August’s mask that we received. They confirmed that what we received in our August box is also 1 ounce. When this charcoal mask releases in October, they will be selling exactly what we got in fancy packaging for $135. I feel like they could’ve done a better job of our sub packaging for sure! Thing is, I have now used it twice and I have to say my skin looks and feels far better at least 48 hours after I use it so I really do like the product.

Wow! I think I need to retract my criticisms. That little jar costs that much? I got two uses from it. I really though LMdB had given us the short end of the stick…now I feel like one of those posters who are never happy with anything.

I was very disappointed when I received my box 🙁 Hoping the next ones will be better. This is definitely not worth $29!

I was dissapointed with this shipment. This is my 3rd yesr with them and it has been the wors opening month. Last year they even send an extra for renewing subscribers.

Usually this sub has great items and amazing value. Its an amazing mask though, so Im not upset just underwhelmed. I must admit their presentation has gone downhill.

“I almost feel like we have to get the skincare samples to earn the palettes!” You hit the nail on the head. I wouldn’t pay $29 for this deluxe sample at any time.
