Now, onto the items!
Alex Anne Beauty Bad Ass Matte Liquid Lipstick in Obsession – Value $10 (original retail price $16)
This liquid lipstick formula is waterproof, kiss-proof, and dries down to a true matte finish. I loved the rose/mauve shade of this liquid lip and was impressed with its staying power, but I found the formula to be drying and slightly uncomfortable to wear. I have other liquid lipstick formulas I prefer, but I still think this is very pretty -and truly smudge-proof- product that’s worth a try.
Here it is on! I also have it swatched in a later photo.
Japonesque Pro Performance Lipstick in Shade 11 – Value $20
This lipstick range is formulated to be both light and rich, meaning it glides on easily and leaves a pigment-saturated, full-bodied finish.
I loved this shade and formula! I personally love the look of a fresh, summery, glossy lip, and this lipstick did just that! It was very light on the lips but had great color payoff.

Just Be Miami Matte Liquid Lipstick in Blazing – Value $12
We’re going bold with gold! At first, I thought this was a shimmery gold lip topper meant to add sparkle on top of a base color, but it’s actually a traditional liquid lipstick formula that dries down matte.
I love the idea of stepping out of your comfort zone and trying an unexpected lip color like gold, but I found this formula to be really difficult to work with. It didn’t go on opaque and wasn’t buildable, so your natural lip color will still show through, giving a streaky finish.
Here it is on! It’s not my favorite, but I still think it’s fun that they included such a bold shade!
Sorme Tasty Tubes Lip Gloss in Magnetic – Listed Value $11.99
This conditioning lip shine is formulated to add shine and sparkle while keeping lips soft and smooth.
I like this gloss formula. It’s thick enough to add lasting shine but doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on the lips. I typically prefer more neutral, nude glosses, but I love this pigmented hot pink shade as a final touch on top of a pink or red lipstick.
Here it is on!
And here are all the lip products swatched. From left to right: Sorme Tasty Tubes Lip Gloss in Magnetic, Just Be Miami Matte Liquid Lipstick in Blazing, Japonesque Pro Performance Lipstick in Shade 11, Alex Anne Beauty Bad Ass Matte Liquid Lipstick in Obsession.
Kiss Me Honey Exfoliating Lip Polish in Strawberry – Value $15.99
This month, Lipstick Junkie also included a lip scrub to prep, hydrate, and soften your lips before going in with lip products. I used this before I tried on the lipsticks and it worked great. I think this was a fun and useful inclusion in the box!
Verdict: This month's Lipstick Junkie has a value of about $70 which is great for a $24 beauty box that only includes full-size products and ships free to the U.S.! I loved the variety of the items included and especially loved the Japonesque lipstick.
