The box’s theme for August 2017 is Kitchen. I appreciate that they listed details for all of the items.

Creative Co-Op Fresh Fig Dish Soap - 16 fl.oz. Listed Value $12

***Subscribers will receive one of the multiple fragrance variations***

This is a great size dish soap. The bottle is cute - and the scent is good enough for me to use in the shower! I like that the formula is biodegradable. It lathered well and left my dishes squeaky clean, but I wouldn’t say that my hands feel moisturized afterwards as they claim.

Creative Co-Op Hand-Painted Stoneware Spoon Rest- Listed Value $8

This unconventionally shaped dish measures 5-½” and it has a good weight to it. It’s also microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. I do like the light blue rim but I’m not a 100% sure I love the pattern. Overall, it’s a cute little plate that I will be using to rest my ladle when I cook.

Cotton Tea/Dish Towel - Listed Value $4 each

These tea/dish towel are 100% cotton, lint free, and made in Pakistan. They measure 15” x 24-½” and have a very simple blue line in the middle. The fabric became much softer after the first wash and they will come in handy in my tiny kitchen. 🙂

Vegetable Brush - Listed Value $7

I have to admit that I’m not much of a vegetable eater - so I don’t think that I’ll be using this brush for its purpose anytime soon. That said, the bristles are just stiff enough to clean root vegetables easily, yet soft enough to leave the veggie unscratched. In my case - I will be using this brush for my bath time to scrub my rough elbows and heels!

Creative Co-Op Oval Ceramic Plate - Listed Value $7

This little plate is adorable! The plate is microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. It measures 5-¼” long and 4” wide. It has a drawing of a little bird with the word “merci” (which means “thank you” in French) inside. I love the simplicity of this plate and I will keep it around my desk for my afternoon snack break.

Verdict: The listed value of this box is $42, which is a little over the cost of the box. I like that everything is very well-curated under the theme and I can see myself using these items in my kitchen. My favorite item is definitely the oval ceramic plate, it makes me happy just looking at the little bird!

FYI I got an email today saying presales for the October box are already closing tonight! Says there will only be one curated version this time but without any spoiler or coupon guess I’ll be sitting this one out again. Probably for the best since I’ve been buying so many boxes in the past few weeks…

Sorry…I guess there is a 5 buck coupon code listed above but they had offered bigger discounts previously…unless I missed it.

I emailed them this afternoon about my disappointment with Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap, only because I can get it at any grocery store for $4. I was very nice, though, and told them how much I liked the rest of the box, while expressing gratiude that they didn’t send me a bottle of Dawn, lol!! 😉 I don’t expect them to do anything, I just thought that they needed to know, I also added up the RV of my box and it ended up being 99 cents below the cost of the box.

Of course I couldn’t resist the Fall box, so I just pre-ordered it. My favorite season & my bday is in Oct, so here’s hoping for better planning on their end for this box!

Forgot to mention that I redeemed some points for the Oct. box, so that’s $10 off. We’ll see if it’s better………

Weirdly, I didn’t get an info card in mine. And I got both a hand soap and a dish soap and no french dish (but I did get a spoon rest). Not complaining, just noting the difference!

Kathleen

Same here, but I actually prefer the handsoap to the merci dish

And now I notice that on the info card for this review it states August Home Box 2 which makes it seem like LP always had the intention of sending out variations.

I am not a fan when boxes offer variations. No cute little bird dish for me, and only 1 towel. I did receive a hand soap and a dishwashing soap. This was my 3rd box of a 3 box sub. Boxes seem to have sold out relatively fast which to me means that they had a month or 2 to make sure that they had enough of the same items to make the boxes uniform.

The odd thing to me is that this box was still for sale August 4th. I checked it out on the website then, and looked at reviews here etc. I went back about a week later to get it, and it was sold out. Because of that, I jumped at the chance to get the October box when it went up for sale. Now, I’m a little hesitant considering the amount of variations everyone is reporting.

I got a slightly different box than you. I received a hand soap instead of the dish soap and I cannot get the soap to come out of the pump no matter how many times I pump it. I also only received one dish towel, but I got a set of those bird dishes. I don’t know that I’m a fan of all the variations this month. They seem a bit thrown together.

Jamie

I got a broken hand soap too, and it’s a bummer because it smells so good. One dish towel and two bird plates.

Cathy

You should contact them. She is sending me a replacement.

Beccah

I got hand soap instead of dish soap and I got 2 mini plates with different birds! I love everything!

I got the same box as you, except that I received a bottle of Mrs. Meyers Dish Soap, which I can buy at nearly any grocery store for $3.99!!! 🙁 Also, the card was not included in my box. It makes me think that they ran out of the good soap and just went to the store and grabbed some Mrs. Meyers to throw in my box as an afterthough! They might as well have sent me a bottle of Dawn! I’m happy with everything else in my box, but I’m probably going to contact them about short-changing me on the soap, Definitely NOT the brand that they advertised!

Anya

This is the first LP Home box where I’ll be keeping everything.
