Each MissionCute box comes with an inspirational info card (5x7 graphic print). I love this month's quote from Seneca, "Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness." The back of the card notes that this month’s proceeds go to Lab 29, a non-profit corporation founded on the idea that education is a key factor in improving social injustice and class divides. I also received an info card listing each item and the featured brand, which is always helpful when navigating through and allows you to learn more about each item!

WB: Shades of Red Infinity Scarf - Value $9.95 on sale, Retail $22.00

I can never have too many scarfs, and I absolutely love being able to add another infinity scarf to my collection! They are so easy to wear and give you that extra layer of warmth. This scarf is oh so soft and has a little stretch to it. The chevron print is perfect to pair with my favorite leather jacket. A great early Fall item to receive!

Luna Bazaar: Mint Julep Bud Vase - Value $22.00

I was a little surprised by the cost of this item simply because it is rather small and doesn't have a nice heavy quality feel to it. It measures only 4 inches in height so while it is listed to be great for floral arrangements, it isn't large enough to fit too many flowers or anything too high. It is noted that each cup is made of solid plated brass and are hand engraved. The print itself is very beautiful and you can really see the detail that goes into it. Since this is a smaller item, I will most likely use this for a floral arrangement on a side table or in a powder room.

Gurus: Wish Bracelet - Value $10?

This bracelet is so delicate and sweet. Gurus will plant a tree in a developing community for each bracelet sold, how incredible! It is meant to serve as a reminder to conserve and recycle, and the bracelet itself is designed to fall off over time. I am actively trying to teach my son the importance of treating the environment with love and care so this will serve as a great reminder to me by wearing this adorable bracelet daily until it goes back into the earth!

NW Beauty Works: Moisturizer, 2 oz - Value $3.50

This little moisturizer is more like an oil based serum and is made with soothing cucumber and cranberry seed oil. Since this moisturizer is rich in hydration and antioxidants you can use it on your whole body from your hands to your face or as an under eye gel! I first tried this on my hands and loved how it didn't leave a greasy feeling. I tried it before bed as a masque that I left on for 20 minutes. Talk about a cooling experience! After rinsing my skin felt super hydrated leaving my face looking refreshed. This little tin packed a lot of skin care punch for me!

Sailor Paper Co.: Be Merry Paper Coaster Set - Value $14.00

These paper coasters are handmade and oh so cute! In each box, you will receive 8 of the mint and gold coasters perfectly wrapped together with a bow. Luckily for me, I have a gold bar cart that these are going to look amazing on. I can't wait to use them for my next family gathering!

Verdict: This month's MissionCute box really got me excited for the cooler weather ahead! The infinity scarf is going to quickly become a staple for me especially since I am outside all the time with my toddler, and the rich moisturizer is going to help keep my face hydrated during the cold months when I typically get very dry. I was a bit surprised by the high value of the vase, but I know that it is something I will use. I calculated this month's box at $59.45 which is well above the monthly cost of $39! I had mentioned in my last review that I felt the box skewed on the younger side, and I did feel that again with the August box. I love that MissionCute uses each month to give back to a new non-profit organization, which I think makes this box such a great gift to give to a girlfriend or niece. Who doesn't love receiving a present that also gives back?!

“the bracelet itself is designed to fall off over time”

wait…what?? Sorry but why would you want to wear a bracelet that’s meant to fall off?

Taryn Lowman

Yes, exactly! You are supposed to make a wish on it and hope that it comes true when it falls off. Since this is made of recycled materials, it is safe for the environment when it falls off!

I see wish bracelets all the time on etsy. They are suppose to remind you to stay positive until your wish comes true.

Such a cute idea, I was really excited to receive this since I have never bought a wishing bracelet on my own either!

I like the idea behind the bracelet! That’s cool.

I love the scarf too. I think I’ll just buy that & save myself the extra money.

Amber

When we were kids, we wore bracelets made of the same material. We were to make a wish when tying it on, and when it fell off, it was supposed to have come true.
