Nerdy Post is a monthly celebration of your favorite fandoms from TV, movies, and books. Every month, you'll get 5-7 handcrafted items centered around a different monthly fandom.
Everything you get in Nerdy Post is handmade by Alexis, Nerdy Post's creator. Here's what their site says:
"...we wanted to provide unique, high-quality designs that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Hand lettering and illustrating these designs means that nothing is created using fonts or stock images from a computer. Designs are of course digitized in order to be printed on the products, but they will retain their hand-crafted quality."
Alexis recently started offering a Nerdy Tees subscription, which features one graphic tee that fits the monthly theme, for $15.95 a month plus shipping. You can also get the t-shirt and the items in the usual Nerdy Post box in her Nerdy Combo subscription, which is $29.90 per month plus shipping.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This Nerdy Post is all about Pixar and Dreamworks characters! I love the creativity that comes from these animation studios, and I'm excited to see Alexis' interpretations.
Ratatouille Quote Print
Ratatouille is one of my favorite movies. (How could you not love a movie with cute critters and exquisite-looking food?!) This quote from Gusteau, who is basically the culinary version of Jiminy Cricket, is endlessly inspiring, even when you take it out of the context of the film. I also really love the design style of this print. The lettering is artful, yet ardent, and the indigo background gives the piece such a beautiful air of sophistication. It appears on the back of the info card (which I think is about 5" x 7") and has a nice gloss to it. I'm trying to decide where to tack this motivational quote. It'd be great above my desk at work, but it might be even better framed in my bathroom next to my mirror, where it can be my morning pep talk.
Incredibles Poster
This swirly poster is a little hard to read, but it says "Never look back, darling. It distracts from the now," which is a quote from the fabulous Edna. I like how the iconic colors of the Incredibles family find their way into this poster—it doesn't feel too blatant, which is a fun way to honor your favorite animated movie in your decor without it looking too cartoony. The "poster" is only about the size of a sheet of standard printer paper, but the finish has a nice satiny gloss to it like you'd expect from a poster.
Bookmark featuring The Croods and The Good Dinosaur
I love the two-sided bookmarks that I get from this box. I've got quite a stack going right now—more than I have books to use them in, but they sure are fun to collect. This bookmark features a quote on either side. I love that hilarious one from The Good Dinosaur (though I wish Debbie was featured somehow, too, hehe!). Alexis mentions how a bookmark is sort of a dream crusher in a way since it stops you from finishing the story at hand, haha! The quote on the opposite side of the bookmark is from The Croods. It's another great match for the context of a book—reading is all about curiosity, after all! The colors are a lot of fun on either side, though I think I like the clever dino-scale pattern of the green side best.
Bookmark featuring Finding Nemo and Inside Out
There's a second bookmark in the box this month! I should mention that both bookmarks have a great velvety smooth finish to them, which I really like. I can't help but fall for the Dory quote on this one (though the quote from Sadness is very sweet, too). These designs were actually done by two different artists that partnered with Nerdy Post for this box—@an.artist and @sasha_natasha on Instagram.
Mini Print featuring Up and Turbo
The second two-sided mini print (which is about 5" x 7") might be one of my favorite items in the box. I'm just smitten with the "Adventure is out there," design (from Up) lettered by @reverieandink. The blurry, painterly landscape makes the gorgeous white script really pop. I've not seen Turbo yet, but I'm digging this quote designed by @martalemonpie. The info card mentions how it'd be perfect for a kid's shirt. Pop this quote into a brightly colored frame, and it'd be a lovely addition to a small child's bedroom or playroom, too!
Fat Bookmark featuring A Bug's Life and Trolls
It's been too long since I've watched A Bug's Life—I forget how awesome a movie it is! The quote from the movie was designed by @indigo_eleven, while it looks like Alexis did the work on the Trolls quote. Both are so empowering! Alexis refers to these as "fat" bookmarks, as they're just under twice the width of a normal bookmark. I will say, I feel a little overloaded by bookmarks this time around... I almost wish some of these quotes existed as prints that I could display or frame as gifts more easily!
Toy Story Sticker
This sticker features the catchphrases of two of my most favorite talking toys. I like that it has a retro vibe to it, too, almost like the kind of signage you'd see on '90s businesses. That's fitting, to me, since I did most (but certainly not all...) of my toy-buying in the '90s, hehe! This velvety, credit-card-sized sticker is going on a laptop or water bottle for sure.
Monsters Inc. Sticker
While I would've loved to see a familiar face come out of this Monsters Inc.-inspired closet, I do love the idea that, according to the info card, Alexis designed this monster just for her customers! It's about the same size as the other sticker (it could slide into the card slot of your wallet with ease), and the colors are really lovely.
Wall-E Coaster
Ugh, Wall-E! What an incredible movie. This quote comes from the end of the film, which I can barely think about without a happy tear coming to my eye. I love the green color and of course, the pizza joke!
How to Train Your Dragon Lapel Pin
How cool is this pin?! Its designed to look just like Toothless's tail. Most of the pin is done with enamel, but the skull image is just printed on. The colors are perfect for fall, too. I can't wait to pop this pin on my jacket!
Coloring Postcard
Each box includes one of these coloring-book-style postcards, which includes a Nerdy Post logo drawn to fit the box's theme. I love how many awesome references are squished into this one card! (Especially the Pizza Planet truck!)
Verdict: Nerdy Post is so much fun, and this celebration of two amazing animation studios was a delight, per usual. The box is only $19.95 a month ($13.95 + $6 US shipping), which means each item would be worth around $1.81 (if I count the double-sided prints and bookmarks as single items, rather than two designs each). I think that's totally fair, especially when there are heftier items like the pin and coaster included in the mix—pins I've seen of this quality usually go for around $10.00, so around $2.00 is a fantastic deal. Plus, everything is just so beautifully made, unique, and smile-inducing. I always look forward to this fandom box.
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Boxes ship out on the 15th of the month. However, if there are extra boxes available, they're sometimes listed on the Nerdy Post site shop!
