Usually they have a couple big tickets amazing skin care items. I can get things like this from Sephora.

Thanks for letting me know. I have very dark hair and fairly pale skin with a slightly yellow undertone. Most pinks look ridiculous on me! I live in the country and I haven’t actually been anywhere that sells Charlotte Tillbury products. I’ve purchased some of her skincare line, which I love, but no color items. Any ideas what not department stores carry her line, aside from Neiman Marcus?

I purchased the Oribe balm and I’m not very impressed. I don’t think I would repurchase.

Sounds like we have really similar coloring – I think Penelope Pink would be really pretty on you! I live in a fairly large city (though I definitely prefer the country) and I don’t even think our high end department stores like Neiman and Nordstrom have them in-store. You might try the Charlotte Tilbury website and see if they have a store locator, otherwise you may have to take the plunge with an online retailer with a generous return policy or see about making a detour to a shop the next time you’re in an area more likely to stock them (like NY/LA). Or you can try your luck on the swap site! 🙂

Just out of curiosity, which skincare products did you try? I love the lipstick so much that I’ve been thinking about trying more from the line. Thanks!

I don’t think the oribe lip balm is actually full size. The details on the site indicate their full size is .8 oz, whereas the oribe lip balm in the kit is .25 oz. It’s the only ‘full size’ item I checked out, but it might be worth double-checking if you’re getting the kit for a full-sized item.

I caved in and ordered it.. mainly for the Ilia Illuminator, Allies of skin toner and Oribe lipbalm. (Those 3 make up the price after the coupon alone.. had to buy it!….) but I’m also excited to try everything else in it 🙂

I wanted this so badly when it first came out but now I realize that I own most of the products. All I’m interested in is Charlotte Tilberry but I know the color won’t work for me. Pass (even though I still want it, lol)

Hi Claudia –

If you can, visit a shop that sells Charlotte Tillbury products, as this color is surprisingly versatile. I managed to swap for it and thought I’d mostly be sampling it for the formula as the shade wouldn’t work for me, but it is gorgeous on! I’ve always wanted to find a luminous nude, but end up looking like a corpse as I’m quite pale with dark hair. This wasn’t the luminous shade I wanted (think Nigella Lawson or Rachel Maddow), but more of a 60s sex kitten like Bardot. It’s easily my new favorite. The shade looks a little chalky when first applied, but then warms and settles nicely. The formula itself is a little more moisturizing than a true matte, but isn’t overly glossy. It feels soft and comfortable to wear, with moderate longevity.

So yeah – definitely try to swap for one if you can, or visit a shop that carries the range – I’m sure you’ll love the formula, and they shade may surprise you!
