Play! By Sephora September 2017 Box – FULL ITEM SPOILERS!

I’m so scared I am going to end up with the Bumble and Bumble… I’m terribly allergic to their hair products and it would be just my luck to end up with that one in my box.

Wow! I didn’t think I will have read so many bad reviews! Sephora play box is one of the best beauty box out here now! I enjoy all the products they have send out!

For the amount that we are paying it’s so worth it! Go to a Sephora store and you will find that some of the products given are each worth about $10 to $15 bucks an item. I have discovered new brands although I do try to keep up with what’s new from Youtubers advertisers.
This months box looks great! Love Laura Mercier products so bring it on!😍 And Ciate lip colors are great. The sizes on these samples last a while. Plus I am never tired of Dry shampoo saves my hair from being washed every 2days xoxo

September will be my last months with Sephora. I really like brands they send and like that it is a good mix of makeup, skin care and hair care, BUT, their sample size so minuscule, they only good for barbie doll not for adult human being.

I’m a little scared. This will be my second month, and the first was a huge disaster. So, I am proceeding with caution. From what I have seen I wish they stepped it up a little. Give us some good samples that make me want to click the buy button immediately! Fenty and Too face just came out with some amazing products. Why can’t we get samples of those? And how about throw in a full sized item once in a while. Hell, Boxycharm sends out 5 full sized products and it’s only 21$ I’d gladly pay a little extra if it meant quality full sized products. Even when they do the Ultra Play boxes, they suck and they aren’t even full sized. Just venting, but come on Sephora, there is a reason why the other companies are kicking your butt in sub boxes! Listen to your audience.

My card expiration was up so I went in and changed it. I got an email saying thank you but I missed the cutoff and wouldn’t be getting the box.

I find that I don’t care after seeing this. I rarely ever get anything right for me color wise or it is so small it is a waste. It was time to cancel this sub anyway and they pushed me to it. Thanks Sephora!!

I requested the living proof and briogeo foil samples with purchases and didn’t get them. Twice. I hope they are really bonuses because I Just got NO samples with my order 😏

Lately I’ve been getting too many things I don’t use seriously considering stopping this box for awhile
Like I currently have 5 travel dry shampoos 3 or 4 primers and illumininators I wish Sephora would take into account skin color mine is olive a lot of the shades don’t work for me every single eye shadow is basically the color of my skin and last month I got foundation that was 3 shades too light!

I wish they would put new launches in the box. Sephora released the Too Faced Peach and Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty this month, something from them would have been cool to try or an entire Play box based around the products. Instead we get things like the Briogeo that has been in every box already. Maybe I’m being prickly since I will probably end up with the black eyeliner and pink lipstick again.

Oh, judging by recent experience, I can be sure that I’ll be getting the bright red lipstick, another hair mask, and glitter eyeshadow. More stuff for the trash.

Ugh I wish they would just let us pick one thing from each category… wouldn’t even matter bc not everyone wants the same stuff.. I can already see all the swapping that is about to happen LoL

If you go to the YouTube of this the exact same discussion is going on. I said “foil packets?” people keep saying its a bonus, tbh I am thinking OMG no not after just two months ago you gave deluxe samples of some of these hair products already. I’m just going to wait and see its all we can do at this point.

Please, Sephora, NO Blue Tansy! I know most these comments want it but I have it and absolutely, positively, undoubtedly do not want it! It smells horrific to me and I don’t have redness. Send me either or both algeinst, instead! I am pretty sure we are all getting the divacurl like we all got living proof dry shampoo. It was after they discussed it and pointed out it was great for all hair types that they went to the bonus foil packets of the other hair products and it was the only one sample size. We are all getting a lipstick, so, Please, give me urban decay! That leaves me with two make-up items if we only get one skincare. Though every box the last 3 months have given me 2 skin care products when I prefer make-up! I want the benefit brow stuff, because my other beauty boxes never send me it. I wouldn’t mind the gold eyeshadow, I might wear it somewhere other than just to try out but I will definitely use a black eyeliner even though I have a ton of them, so if I do get eyeliner, I’m ok with it but I would prefer stila! Fingers crossed!

From the video I’m thinking we will get: liner, brow, shadow, lippie, skincare and samples of perfume and hair care.

So based on the video I think we’re all getting the devacurl… it’s the only deluxe sample and they emphasized how we don’t need curly hair and any hair type can use it. And then the rest are sample packets and he said bonuses so I assume we get one of those as well, not counting towards our 5.

I assume since they said you get the gimme brow depending on your shade and showed multiple shades that everyone will get that as well.

So my guesses are devacurl and gimme brow for sure, a lipstick, an eye product (liner or the shadow), and one skincare item?? Just my guesses tho lol I could be totally wrong. Especially since unless there’s 6 boxes that wouldn’t make sense to get only one skincare. Then again maybe each box doesn’t have the same ratio of hair/skincare/makeup….

Personally I’d love the herbivore mask, algienst serum, or fresh moisturizer, and the ciate London mauvey lipstick or urban decay vice. And the gimme brow. and stila liner. Also that shadow looks kinda fun. The only item I would be upset about getting is the Sephora eye pencil bc I never use pencil eyeliner and have like 700 of them especially in black… but the rest looks great and I’m excited for an extra hair sample so I have pretty high hopes about this box. ☺️

I think I’ll scream if I get another black eyeliner. I’ve gotten so many from Play and I never use them. I’m really hoping for the Touch en Sol! That would be a unique addition to all the standard stuff I feel like I always get. I also always seem to get stuff for dry hair even though my profile says I have oily thin hair.

I would love to get the Wander lipstick as it’s so moisturizing (received one in another box and shade). I would also love to get the Algenist pressed serum as I love all of their products. I’ve tried the Herbivore (love their products) and love it. I wouldn’t mind another sample jar of it. 😄 Great box- hope I don’t get any eyeliners as I only use a bronze one by Tarte. It goes great with green eyes.

I really enjoyed the video. Gave me a little idea of each item and made them all sound great. I am a little overloaded with samples but can seem to give this box up.

I like the Briogeo brand a lot, but I’m so tired of subscription boxes sending out that hair mask! I still have two full-size tubs plus three deluxe samples. It’s included in practically every Sephora hair kit too. Judging by subscription boxes, you’d think Briogeo only had that hair mask and the leave-in conditioner spray.

I wish Sephora had chosen the scalp scrub or overnight hair mask instead.

As long as the haircare is actually a bonus, I’m totally great with this box. It looks like in order to hit the 5 count, we’d have 2 from the makeup and 2 from the skincare and 1 lip. The bonuses would be the hair and perfume. I’m hoping for the ciate, since I already have that UD Vice and I’d prefer the Algenist & Lotus, but honestly I won’t be too disappointed if I got the belief ones, because you can sell them pretty easy on the boards. I think the only item I would be super meh about is the sephora eyeliner. I can at least sell the Stila since I JUST bought the KVD Tattoo. Honestly overall I think its a great box.

I don’t care what I get for hair or fragrance but I really want the touch in sol since I have the others and ciate maroon one since I don’t want the others and I already have the UD and the herbivore since I can’t sample that at Sephora in stores and I wanna try it. *Fingers crossed*

Just watched the video, and shocked by the number of FOIL haircare PACKETS! Come on! If we can get it free as a magazine insert, we don’t want it in a paid box. The perfume samples look bigger!

Also, too many variants without one choice or opt out category will lead to major box envy, which leads to unhappy customers. Also, if we didn’t get a variant one month, why can’t we get it another month? There have been several items that I missed out on, and now I know that I will never receive them.

That said, there is a nice balance in this box of makeup, haircare (but FOIL PACKETS!), and skincare. I prefer beauty boxes to be heavier on the makeup.

After watching the video I’m a little confused, are the foil packet hair products an extra ? I’m assuming we could get one.
