Here's the info card for the box. I like that they give little suggestions on how to use each product.

Kate Aspen Hello Gorgeous Trinket Dish - Value $5.40 (Listed Value $18.00)

I found this item on Kate Aspen's site for quite a lot less than the listed value, but keep in mind, that doesn't account for shipping, etc. A closer cost might be what I found it for on Amazon, which is just over $9.00. Long story short, I feel like the listed value is a little high.

It is, however, an awfully cute dish! The soft pink color looks so delicate and romantic when matched with metallic gold lettering and accents. It's about the size of a big index card, so it'll be a lovely home for many a ring. Or, actually, I have a pile of gold bobby pins that end up scattered all over my house if I'm not careful—this might be the perfect home for them!

Air Cleansing Charcoal Satchel - Listed Value $8.00

When I first saw this satchel, I gave it a sniff, thinking it was some kind of herbal sachet. I gave it a hard side-eye when I realized it didn't smell like anything at all. But, duh, that's the point! A quick read of the info card explains that this charcoal-filled pouch helps absorb and eliminate home odors. Pop it in a shoe, a stinky laundry area, or even the car to start naturally removing unpleasant smells. I've got this in my car right now, and while it's still too soon to determine whether it's just a placebo effect or not, I have to say... I think it's working! I love that I can use the little loop to hang it, too!

I wasn't sure what brand this pouch is, so I couldn't find it online... But I feel like $8.00 is around how much I'd expect to pay for something similar at a store like Bed Bath and Beyond. It's just about the size of a cell phone, to give you an idea.

3-Piece Laundry Bag Set - Listed Value $10.00

This was another piece that didn't have enough branding for me to do much research, but I think the listed value is pretty fair. I've been looking to buy some of these types of laundry bags, especially now that I've been getting so many delicate lingerie pieces via subscription boxes! I'm glad to have these bags around to keep my delicates from getting smushed and pulled around in the wash. I did a big load the other day and tossed a bunch of bras into the largest bag. When they were all finished, I unzipped the mesh bag to find everything in lovely shape. The straps weren't even all that twisted, which is a usual laundry gripe of mine!

Throw Pillow Cover Set of 2 - Listed Value $20.00

There's no branding on this set, either, so I'm going with the listed value. The fabric is a bit on the thin side, and it's not exactly the comfiest material (I think it really is just printed canvas), so I think $10.00 per pillowcase is probably fair. They do make a striking statement, though. I have them decorating two standard-sized throw pillows on my couch, and the black and taupe patterns make a nice contrast. I like the arrow one the best—I kind of wish I had gotten two of the same pattern. I like pairing things like this with some little pops of color to keep my room from looking too monotone drab (especially since my couch is dark gray and my walls are sort of a gray clay color), so I nestled an emerald-teal throw I have over one arm of the couch to bring some depth to the look.

Concrete and Gold Planter - Listed Value $10.00

No info on this little guy, either, but I could see something about this size going for a similar price at a store like At Home (which I just recently went to and am so in love with...). It's definitely concrete—it's hefty, solid, and has a very cool industrial feel while still looking somewhat stony and organic. I like pretty much anything metallic, so the gold accent is right up my alley. The info card says that this small (I think it's about 4" x 4"...) cube can be used for succulents (so hot right now), but I might use it as a pen cup on my desk.

Lavender Buds Pouch - Listed Value $5.00

This final item is also pretty fairly priced, I think (though again, too generic to get a fair price on elsewhere). If I wanted, I could fit this little sachet inside that concrete container and just set it on a bathroom windowsill. I love the smell of lavender, so I'm into this herbal sachet. It helped to crunch the purple bag of leaves up a bit to get the aroma going. It's nothing strong, but enough to add some freshness and calm to a space. I've dropped bags like this into my drawers or closet to help douse my clothes in herbaceous scents. How luxurious would it be to have lavender-scented pajamas to wear to dreamland?

The Verdict: The value I estimated for the box, going mostly off of their given prices, was about $58.00. If I had used their price for the ring dish, the value would've been about $71.00. Both are more than the price of the box, so it's a nice value in that regard, so long as you're into the aesthetic of the items you get. I always like to give the caveat that I'm in my apartment-dwelling phase and haven't gotten to amass household supplies and decor the way someone with a household and a family may have. This box was fun for me, as it brought me some new and useful products I've been meaning to pick up. But someone else might be thinking, "Laundry bags? We already have so many of those!" or "Not another lavender sachet!" The RenovateCRATE site mentions that this box could be a great gift for newlyweds or new homeowners, and I feel like that's right on the money!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but order by the last day of September to nab October's box! Boxes ship on or around the first of each month.

Value Breakdown: With US shipping, this box costs about $43.90. That means that, in this box, the six items cost an average of $7.31 each. If I do that same math with the estimated retail value of everything inside ($58.00), the average would be about $9.67 per item. In short, this box saved me a few dollars! (If you're shipping to Canada, however, it comes out about even.)

I love laundry bags. When arthritis started setting in I would use them to wash my Storybook Knit sweaters as they were heavy and difficult to wring out. I love the little concrete plant holders but the shipping on Etsy is so expensive and I live in such a small town I have never heard of At Home much less been in one.

@Anna, as soon as I saw the concrete container I thought – that looks like something you could get from At Home for about that price! Lol. I, too, love that store!

And if you want another arrow pillow (very similar, but not exact match) look at this on Amazon. It’s $9.99:
