For those who wanted to know: I just got the bonus gift for a 6 or 12 month subscription. It was a bottle of Glenmorangie. It’s a decent Scotch, but nothing to get excited about.
I have seen that some that used the MSAVICELOVE coupon received the sunglasses from the April 2016 box and others have received an additional box. I’m nonplussed that those that signed up for month to month over Labor Day were given the same bonus for no commitment at all. Additionally, those that used the “friend of a friend” code received a $190 bottle of tequila, also with no commitment. Maybe they made a mistake? I just feel that those that give a greater commitment deserve a greater bonus….

For those who want to know, I just received my gift with purchase of a 6 or 12 month subscription. It’s the bottle of Glenmorangie. It’s a decent Scotch, but a bit of a letdown since those who subscribed for a month to month in September got the same thing. Doesn’t show much appreciation for those of us who made a longer commitment.
Additionally, this shipped after I was billed for a second six months AND after contacting customer service. I do believe that others received an additional box and others the sunglasses from the April 2016 box as their free gift. Maybe they made a mistake?? Seems like those committed to spending $500+ should be given a bit of a nicer gift than those who commit to only a guaranteed less than $100. Additionally, those that used the “friend of a friend ” code from the Clase Azul box got a$200 bottle for as little as a month to month subscription…ie. no actual commitment.

FedEx opened my box, removed the alcohol, and retaped & relabeled it.
What is FedEx doing tampering with an order? I don’t even drink, but that doesn’t mean I pay any less for the box. It would have been gifted, so I would still get some use out of it.

Has anyone else had this problem? I’m not sure what to do… 🙁

Has anyone been able to
Get the free refill using the code? It will not work for me. Which paper did you put in your cart?

Connie

I emailed and in order to get the free paper you have to sign up for a subscription.

:/ that’s lame, they should have made that clear

This was my first box (signed up with the Gilt City deal). While I really appreciate the curation and packaging, the content was a bit of a let down. The pencil is beautiful, but is way too faint to be practical. The notebook is wasted on me, but will be a nice Christmas gift my brother who’s an artist. I’m not really a cocktail person, I like things I can just pour and drink (beer, wine, whiskey), but I’ll give the liqueur a shot. The biscotti and coffee are both great, but were also the lowest priced items.

On another note, has anyone that used the Gilt City deal received their free box? I’m still waiting on mine…

Heads up. I just got my box and it’s not a pen. It’s a sketching pencil. It’s so light that you can’t even see writing. You don’t use it to write with but in a sketch book for art. These last two boxes have made me very disappointed. I love RV but recently not so much. To me it’s another useless notebook, a pencil that is pretty but also useless. This may be the end for me.

What do you get extra with the coupon code?

MICHELLE

Nothing is correct. BUT RV never spoils any items, and normally you get the next month’s box when you sign up, and have no idea what you’re getting. So this allows you to know.

Nothing…you just get the September box…not really a coupon…but I love pens and notebooks so I decided to go for it

Hi Liz, the biscotti is only one box that includes both flavors and it only has half the amount of biscotti as the ones selling on their site at the $13 price point.

Beth

The perfect box!

Wow! Had to sign up, but I live in an apartment and since I’ll be at work I won’t be able to sign for this. Has anyone had FedEx deliver this to the their apartment front desk and have them sign for it?

Reply ButtonReply

Sammee

Yes! I live in an apartment and had the box delivered to my apartment office when I was a subscriber even though it had my name on it. When a signature is required, FedEx just needs someone at the delivery address who is over 18 to sign for it. Doesn’t matter who it is.

Danielle

Yep! I do that every month. Haven’t had any issues since I set it up; there’s an option through your FedEx account to make that the default delivery point 🙂

Mariek

Sweeeet! Thank you, didn’t know I could choose that as an option if I made an account with FedEx

Allison

My Lord, the reviews on that pen are bad… 1 and 2 star. 🙁
I was SO EXCITED about this box but now I may cancel.

That’s because it’s not a pen, it’s a pencil. It’s meant to sketch on certain paper and if you try to write with it you can barely see it. Why would they send a pencil? Who uses those anymore?

Lia

Artists use pencils. I actually love the concept, story, and design of the pininfarina. It has a great weight and unique etching format with good quality cotton paper (which I use for sketches). I feel like this box is designed to expose me to high end items that are more niche than mass market. I really appreciate that about this box. I approach it as a learning experience that may push me out of my comfort zone in a good way. For $70 a month prepaid it is an adventure 😊

My husband and I tried the Aperativo and it was bitter. There are drink recipes included in the booklet though that made a huge difference.

Best biscotti I’ve ever had and my mom used to home make it.

I LOVE my new journal and already bought paper refills.

The pencil is a work of art. It’s so elegant and it sits beautifully. But it writes very, very faintly. It was interesting to read how it is made and how it works.

I love our RV sub. It never disappoints. I’m not much of a drinker but we have so many lovely bottles now for company and for us to enjoy. I loved last months sunglasses too. You know with RV that you’re going to get something unexpected but luxe. It’s worth the price for me.

Now I just need to get a Breo sub……

That pen and notebook look amazing! And the liqueur sounds like something I would like, as well. As for the other items – they all look fine and giftable (not a coffee fan). Pretty great value here!

I don’t drink enough alcohol to get my money’s worth out of a Robb Vices subscription, but I love pens, notebooks, and coffee and I am drooling over this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Alex

It’s not always alcohol but it is often enough that I can understand not wanting to subscribe. I don’t drink much but it’s nice to have for company. I love the box for the non-alcohol items myself and it’s easy to share with my husband. We get really excited when it arrives and wait to unvail it together.

This is my favorite box to live vicariously through reviews. I can’t afford it, and I wouldn’t get enough use out of the contents on the whole to justify getting it, but it is so well done.
