There was no info card, but the theme for September was ‘Royal Women’ and each featured nail polish is inspired by these powerful, historical female figures.
FYI: Every item in this box is limited-edition and exclusive to the box, but I’ve linked to similar shades from the brands’ websites. Now, onto the items!
DIFFERENT Dimension Queen Nefertiti – Value $12? (based on similar here)
Queen Nefertiti is a multicolor, multichrome holographic shade with added micro glitters. This shade is exactly what comes to mind when I think ‘holographic’. It has a silver-blue base, but when the micro glitters catch the light you get that expected holographic rainbow effect.
Here it is on, photographed in direct sunlight. This shade is the most holographic of the bunch and maintains its rainbow/multichrome shift in any lighting. It’s slightly more muted outside of direct sunlight, but honestly, not by much! I love it!
And because it’s difficult to capture multichrome, holographic shades in a single image, here it is in action!
Cupcake Polish Cleopatra – Value $13? (based on similar here)
Cleopatra is a linear holographic, meaning that it doesn’t have that multicolored, rainbow effect you see with the first shade, Queen Nefertiti. This is my favorite shade of the bunch! I love the more monochromatic, mermaid-esque combination of the turquoise base with the golden shimmers.

Glisten & Glow Queen Elizabeth I – Value $12? (based on similar here)
Queen Elizabeth I is described as a vampy, deep red linear holographic with copper shimmers. While it’s listed as a linear holographic, I would have guessed this shade to be a multicolored holographic. Both in the bottle and on my nails, there appears to be lots of multidimensional, rainbow shimmer. Either way, it’s beautiful!

And here it is in action. As you can see, it definitely has a multicolored rainbow shift.
Takko Lacquer Rani of Jhansi – Value $12? (based on similar here)
This month’s special guest brand is Takko Lacquer, and their shade ‘Rani of Jhansi’ comes in its own cute branded box. This shade is medium pink holographic with green and pink shifting shimmers. I can definitely see the green shimmers in the bottle, but on the nails it just looks like a beautiful icy, silvery-pink.
Here it is on, photographed in direct sunlight. I love this one! While bold, vibrant colors are fun to wear, I almost always wear more muted shades (because it’s not as obvious when they start to chip), so I love that this shade is special yet subtle.

Verdict: All of the items in this box are limited-edition and exclusive to the subscription, and don’t have listed values on any of the brand’s sites. Using similar shades to estimate the values, the approximate value of this box is $49 and costs $40 + shipping. While you won't be receiving much of a discount, I think the value of this box comes from the curation of products and brands, as well as the appeal of limited-edition, exclusive shades. For me personally, $40+ a month is a bit steep for nail polish, but I definitely think the quality of the products match the cost of the box and you’re getting what you’re paying for.
