This box was sent to us at no cost to review (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
This review is of the Wantable Style Edit, $20 a month, box.
When I signed up for Style Edit, I took a very extensive profile quiz. It was exciting to see the various questions and visual outfits I could like, love, or dislike. They asked what categories I wanted to receive (or not receive), along with the occasions I typically dress for (ie work, night out, etc). I chose color and price preferences as well. I completed my profile with high hopes that my stylist would be able to understand my sense of style.
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Wantable Style Edit may be completely different!

Each box arrives with a booklet that includes a note from your stylist, along with an invoice and return label. This month, my stylist, Kara sent seven pieces of clothing and accessories that are all about going out and having fun. Sounds good to me!
And here's my invoice. If I were to keep the entire box, the $462.00 total would be discounted $112.40 (20% off + $20 styling fee deducted). With this discount, each item would cost an average of $49.94.
Wantable also includes a USPS return bag for anything I decide to return.
Let's take a look at what I got!
Gorjana Griffin, INC Dez Bar Necklace - Cost to keep: $50.00
I like to receive jewelry and accessories in clothing subscription boxes. Outfit completers are not a top priority, so it's nice that my stylist includes options. This necklace is super dainty with a thin gold chain and rectangle bar of turquoise. It's not my typical style, but I'm digging the shorter length. There is additional extender chain to lengthen a little bit, but I like that it hits right below my neck and can be layered with longer necklaces. I'm not totally loving the price though, and will likely return this piece for that reason.
The necklace came with care instructions and more about the brand. I'm guessing this necklace is part of Gorjana's power gemstones collection, but I am unable to find this exact necklace on their site.
Urban Expressions Sheena Crossbody - Cost to keep: $55.00
Super cute! I am loving this Chanel-inspired quilted crossbody purse. It's about 8" long and pretty slim, so is a great option for a night on the town. It's made of a faux leather, but the quality is nice and what you would expect for the price. The chain strap isn't the most comfortable on, but the detail is more about form, rather than function.
Inside, there is a nice black and neutral herringbone pattern and pocket. This bag can easily fit a thinner wallet or card carrier, along with a large smartphone and lipstick. Keys make the bag look bulky, but they definitely fit as well.
I also love that the strap can be removed to carry the bag as a clutch! Great option to send, Wantable!
A.OK Multi Strap Romper, size S - Cost to keep: $58.00
Well, needless to say, I have some mixed feelings about this romper. On the plus side, it is made of a really soft but sturdy knit. The top is lined and constructed really well too. I really want to love this piece, but it is indecently short on me to the point that I don't feel comfortable wearing this without a cardigan overtop.
For the sake of review, here I am without the cardigan. As much as I appreciate Kara sending a "night out" option, the reality is this is not something I would ever consider wearing for a night out - now or when I was younger. It's just not my style or personality. I've considered wearing tights underneath to see if that would change things, but the reality is cold weather is knocking on the door and I'm not inspired to work with this option right now. If rompers are your style, this is absolutely a great option for the price and quality.
Z Supply Pocket Tee, size S - Cost to keep: $34.00
Switching gears a bit, Wantable sent this muted olive drab v-neck pocket tee. It is a cotton/polyester blend, both of which you can feel. It's soft but not as breathable as a 100% cotton option, but that's OK.
The fit is slouchy and oversized, which I love, but a lot longer than I was expecting before trying it on. I like the rounded hem because it looks more flattering than your basic tee. Still, I feel like I've seen similar shirts at larger chains for a lower price point.
Mavi Ada Mid Ripped & Patched Vintage Boyfriend Jeans, size 27 - Cost to keep: $118.00
Paired with the tee are a darker wash boyfriend style denim. Overall, they fit true to size, with a looser leg and exactly what you can expect from a boyfriend cut. There is minimal distressing on the front leg and back pockets and I like that they're not totally destroyed with rips. The cuffs can be adjusted and all in all, this is a solid pair of denim for over $100. The question for me though, is, do I really need them? Clothing subscription boxes have really up'd my denim game this year and my closet is currently maxed out!
Spade & Heart Striped Solid Top, size S - Cost to keep: $58.00
The second knit top this month is equally soft and quite cozy. It is the perfect item for transitional months! The rayon/polyester knit is super lightweight but I did not need to layer a camisole underneath. I don't love this top, but I don't hate it either. The neutral stripes and color-blocking make this a nice fall staple to pair with jeans and booties.
1.State Button Down Shirt, size S - Cost to keep: $89.00 (Zappos sells a solid white option for $79.00)
Last up this month is a black striped button down. The shirt is made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex, so although there's not a huge amount of stretch, there's a thickness to the fabric that you won't get from a 100% cotton or poplin option. The shirt feels oversized and I much prefer it tucked in.
What's really remarkable about this shirt are the sleeve details. There is straping along the lower part of the arm which ties at the wrist. And the cuff is slit and flared which is very unique. I appreciate this option was included, but button downs aren't really my thing. I do like the sleeve details, so I might have to reconsider.
Verdict: This month's Wantable Style Edit was pretty good with a mix of hits and misses. I enjoyed the accessory options and some of the separates. Even though the romper is not my style, it continues to remind me of the quality of clothing Wantable provides. The majority of the price points fell in the $50 range, which is comparable to Stitch Fix and lower than Trunk Club.
For $20 a month (which also includes free shipping and returns), Wantable Style Edit is a low-risk way of shopping for clothes in the comfort of your home. It's interesting that Wantable switches to a different stylist each month, but I'm OK with it and excited to see who and what's in store next month!
