I have a Question, I like the November spoiler. If I subscribe now will I get the October or november box?

You’ll get the October box, but then you’ll also get November in November. They usually charge in the first few days of the month if you have an active subscription.

So far this box seems curated for teenagers.

not a fan of variations…dropped Ipsy and watch Sephora since I gift to my granddaughter and it drives me nuts…I kept Allure when I dropped my all my boxes last month…its a rock…consistent, good price point…nice well-rounded box…hope variations are NOT the new norm….

I hear you! I’m fairly new to the Allure Beauty Box. October is my 3rd month w/ Allure. I’m still living my Ipsy but the box variations are exactly why I dropped Play by Sephora. More often than not, you end up w/ box envy. I know there are plenty of ways to swap but it’s just an added hassel for me. Whatever I get that I won’t use goes to my daughter or niece. I’m beginning to wonder if some will get these & others will get the Caudalie…

Hmm this is tempting.. and I feel like I can’t go wrong to try it for $10! Does anyone know if it’s easy to cancel if I don’t like it? I’m already subscribed to Boxy and Ipsy so I probably shouldn’t but … 🙈

No Allure! Listen to your customers. From the comments, it sounds like most agree with me. I hate box variations. The only sub that does a fair job at the variations is Sephora Play and they still mess up (I got the epic messed up box from them a few months ago that everyone was complaining about). I’m thinking about canceling Ipsy because my boxes lately have been pretty uninspiring and looking at all the Ipsy variations usually just gives me major box envy. Oh well, I guess I will just wait and see because Allure had become one of my most favorite boxes.

With Allure? I came back because I was sick of variation from everyone including freaking Boxy (seriously – stop that, if Lola beauty gets much better you might be gone too because I almost always get the variation I don’t want…)
There are as many people who are sick to death of “lucky box vs sad box” subs as there could POSSIBLY be who are excited by them… Allure would lose a LOT of people willing to pay slightly more to not be annoyed.

On a different note, any new news on why were not getting follow up comments or the link that gets sent to our emails about the follow up comments?

I wondering too.. It’s annoying to have to go back and keep checking if others reply to my comments. I miss them getting sent to my email..

So weird right? And why is there never an answer? It’s not like I’m asking for a million dollars. I enjoy being able to chat about the beauty boxes but I haven’t received any follow up notices for over three months now and I’ve asked several times and sent the question in but never got a answer , so weird
Toni
No allure! no variations! , that’s what I love about you! I’m not getting warm and fuzzy about this

I would buy this box if I knew I’d get this variation. That’s one of my all time fave moisturizers and the mask is nice as well. I’d just buy a new one at Sephora tho rather than risk it.

Same, though I did sub late in the month.

Wow, I subscribed really late in September and I got my September box this weekend. Sucks to hear you haven’t gotten it yet! 🙁

The name of the latest spoiler makes me think of raw eggs. I’d never use it or the hey, honey. Married as long as I’ve been Hey Honey is a prelude to “will you get me a… fill in the blank”. Neither are the most alluring of beauty product names.
Also just received the Look Fantastic Unicorn brush, and while it’s attractive, because of the long thin tube, it doesn’t feel durable enough to use. Wonder if this brush will be better, and I’ve never considered using a colored brush since I don’t know what they use to dye the bristles.
Allure stepped it up the past few months with good boxes, but Oct and Nov aren’t doing it for me. There’s still Dec!

Lol…Hey Honey is actually a brand I’m always happy to see! But I love honey – the taste, the color, the scent, and the beauty benefits. Give it a try 🙂

Too Cool for School is a Korean brand and like many K-beauty brands they tend to have cutesy packaging and names that sometimes don’t make sense to us or seem misspelled. Use directions can also have bad grammar or be missing in English altogether. They are still good products and often more innovative (by about 10 years) than what is made in the US.

I know many people think that (that K-beauty is more innovative), but that’s not true at all.

Really dislike variations, I am almost always some how so unlucky that I get what I don’t want! Like the Hey Honey, the brush, will likely swap the lippy. Wouldn’t mind trying the face mask but not really sure I want the moisturizer.

I’m not a big variation fan either. Play! going to at least 6-8 per month permanently (per Sephora CS) is why I dropped them.

I have paid full price for the too cook for school egg sheet mask in Sephora, so I would enjoy this box variation!

Like the spoilers. Dislike variations. Hope the Too Cool for School items are in my box.

And right after I commented, I saw Liz’s comment below that this isn’t the case. Welp. Hoping I get the TCFS set also because it sounds promising. I’m not really that bothered by variations anyway, even if I do have a fave type.
Reply
Nicole
I think we’ll get at least one TCFS item, and the variation is just WHICH one we get—that’s honestly my favorite kind of variation, is one where it’s two products that are kind of similar and are from the same brand. Like how the October box, everyone is getting a sample of one of the new Kat von D perfumes, in either Saint or Sinner.

Box variations? Why? That is what I hated about the sephora box. So, do some get a tube & others 1 sheet???
Reply
Nyesha
I do too! 1 of the reasons I like Allure is because I like to know what I am getting and not have to hope I get what I want. Ugh, stop trying to be like the other competition Allure, you can’t please everybody all the time.

No, sorry for any confusion. There are 7 items in box version #1, and both of these new spoilers are in the box. We’ll have other variant spoilers soon!

I’m totally digging the unicorn brush. It will look great next to my Look Fantastic unicorn brush.
Hope I get the mask. I don’t want the eggy cream. Their products are not toxin free.

I already have both Too Cool For School products. While I like them, I really don’t need more. Going to the swap site if I’m receiving them

I’ve been wanting to try this Egg Mellow thing for a while now, just never got around to buying it. This should be cool. The only thing that would have made it better would be if they included the Egg Mousse Soap as well, but I’ll just buy it for a full experience. 😃

I wonder what Too Cool For School Egg Mellow Cream smells like? Devilled eggs? Mayo?
Reply
Mikayla
It definitely has a smell to it but I can’t really figure out what it is. It’s kinda a weird smell but I actually like it. Not strongly scented, and it goes away, but it does have a very distinct smell.

Ellen
Can’t really describe, sort of like butter? The scent is not overly strong but definitely noticeable, so if you don’t like skincare with perfumes it may be a problem for you. Also, the texture is very interesting. So creamy that it’s even a little too thick for me. A little really goes a long way

Agreed. I used. Way too much the first time. Only takes a dime sized amount. And leaves my skin amazingly soft. I would to try the mask.
Hoping for this variation. Also agree with those who are bummed that there are variations now. It was kind of nice to just know what you were getting with one sub……
