Now, on to the items!

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator – FULL SIZE! Value $58

Dr. Brandt makes amazing exfoliators, and I’m always happy to see Dr. Brandt samples in subscription boxes. And Full-Size products? Yes, please!

Unlike the Age Defying exfoliator, this scrub has no discernable scent, and it is a clear (not white) formula. I also felt like scrubbing particles were a little finer.

I can’t get over how smooth this exfoliator makes my skin feel – if you haven’t sampled this yet, you are in for a treat!

Paula’s Choice RESIST Skin Firming Line Minimizer – FULL SIZE! Value $50

First, how fun is this packaging? You press the button on the back to release a small amount of the product for spot treatments. And the syringe dropper bottle design is airless, so it prevents ingredients from breaking down due to light and air exposure! (This bottle should last for up to 12 weeks!)

The formula is fragrance-free, ingredient-conscious, and designed to help fight wrinkles and expression lines. It's a super lightweight gel that absorbs almost immediately and should be used as the last step of your nightly skincare routine.

This is the most exciting item in the box for me (and makes the box worth it for this item alone). I'm hopeful to see results within a month or two!

Smith & Cult Her Name Bubbles - 2.5 ml Value $11

This 'lil mini is actually half the size of the full-size version!

The formula has a ton of shine, and a nice wash of pink pigment. Here it is swatched:

It's a really pretty bubble gum pink!

La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser – 15 ml Value $.50

This is a soap-free, gentle creamy cleanser. It doesn't make much of a lather, but it worked well to clean my skin without drying it out.

Tocca Eau de Parfum Stella – 1.5 ml Value $3.75

This is a fresh, floral scent with notes of Blood Orange, White Freesia, and Sandalwood. (And the little vial is a spritzer!)

Arcona Cranberry Gommage – 10 ml Value $3.75

This smells fantastic! The cranberry scent is perfect (can you tell I'm in a very fall mood right now?) and the formula is so gentle. I'm a bit bummed to see that the full-size version retails for $75, though!

Avene Soothing Sheet Mask – Value $9.50

Ahhh! This sheet mask was so soothing! The formula felt a little more substantial than some sheet masks. (excuse my lack of fancy words, but I'm going to describe it as less goopy?) The formula is fragrance, alcohol, and paraben free, and I you only need to wear it for 10 minutes. I seriously didn't want to take it off, though!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $136.50. That's an AMAZING value for a $24.95 box. This is one of the best BeautyFix boxes I've ever received - it's such a skincare treat! (I'm already thinking of buying another box!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! As of today, 10/16, the October box is still available. Make sure to sign up ASAP if you want this box.

Coupon –  For a limited time, use coupon code MSASAVE10BF to save $10 off your first box!

I ordered a box having never shopped on this site before. After my order was placed and completed, I was taken to another screen that asked if I wanted to try a bonus item (no price listed). I clicked to see what it was and it added the item to my already completed order, never taking me to checkout nor asking to confirm. I immediately emailed customer service and they said they would get back to me within a few days (I was at the end of my lunch hour so could not call atm). When I got home and checked my email I see the order has been shipped with the $24 dry shampoo I will probably never use. I feel this is a very deceptive business practice and will not be doing business with Dermstore in the future. Buyer beware.

I always love BF. I’m not a big makeup person but really like trying all the skincare products. BF sub is the box to get if skincare is your thing!! I have cancelled several of my other subs, Sephora, BB, GB, BOS but I will never cancel BF.

I subbed & took advantage of the $10 off coupon- nice! Thanks for the heads up on that deal.

I’m dropping Macy’s and am seriously thinking of getting rid of either Ipsy or Sephora.
I don’t want anymore off color makeup that I won’t ever wear. A box with more skincare appeals to me since its soon to be winter.

I’m in for the Paula’s Choice eye serum, and love anything Dr Brandt.

Great box- excellent value too.

Thank you for the review — it helped me make the decision to sign up for Beauty Fix.

You’re Welcome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I did drop Ipsy and after this month, Sephora is getting the boot.

Decided I needed to spend my “extra” budget $ on better skincare products- otherwise no amount of makeup is going to cover these rapidly forming eyebrow wrinkles and crows feet. Ugh!

Elizabeth

You got me at Dr. Brandt. I am close to dropping Sephora Play due to their tiny samples, but it’s only $10. Can hardly wait for this box to arrive.

It’s the 20th and no spoiler yet which means beauty fix has something I want full sized. A serum maybe. Am I the only one who thinks quiet means at least one full sized goody?

Reply ButtonReply

lynn

Yes please. A full size serum would be awesome.

Beauty fix is my fav sub. I already have a full size of the bubbles gloss so I’ll swap the mini, the rest was just perfect.

I canceled my subscription after September’s box as I didn’t really use many of those items, however I resubbed just now. Why? I don’t even know. I just received a full sized Dr. Brandt in this month’s Boxycharm but I love it! I was able to resubscribe with a $10 off. With tax, I paid $16 for this box. ::sigh:: I have a problem.

Does anyone know what’s the billing date for Beauty Fix? I just ordered yesterday and incase I want to cancel for next month, what’s the last date to do so? And is calling customer service the only way to cancel? Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Carolann

I was able to cancel via email. They don’t advertise that you can cancel this way but I took a shot at it and received a cancellation confirmation shortly after.

S.R.

As far as I could find calling was the only way to cancel. Ten minutes on hold with an overly loud repeated messages, my phone volume wouldn’t go lower. It took under two minutes to cancel once I got a representative. Wait time was annoying more because of the loud messages than the actual waiting ten minutes. The actual cancelling was super fast and easy.
I think you have to the last day of this month to cancel but definitely check on that. I wish they had online cancelling.

Got burned with the Black Friday box last year, but had to do this for the Dr Brandt.

I order BeautyFix every once in awhile and after this box, decided to subscribe. I prefer more skincare to makeup so this one seems like the balance I need. Usually I hate pink lip products, but that Smith & Cult is gorgeous. When I first saw how bright it was, I just knew it was going to look terrible, but it gives my lips such a nice hint of color and it’s not sticky.

Just placed my order as well.

This is a great box! I really liked it. I just tried the Dr. Brandt last night, I thought it smelled nice and my pores looked great this morning. I actually looked twice to make sure I wasn’t imagining it!

I actually added a second sub in September to get a backup of the NIA body repair cream (I love it!) and I kept the second sub for this month! Waiting to see spoilers for next month to decide if I should keep both boxes. I’m not expecting miracles from the Paula’s Choice product, but I’m sure my skin will reap some benefits from the ingredients. I’m beyond happy with BeautyFix at the moment, and I hope they have some more great products lined up for us!

JuJu

The Paula’s Choice item is getting so-so reviews on her site, and everything else in here I either already own or don’t care about (like the Avene mask), so this box is a pass for me. Oh, well.

S.R.

I totally agree with you. I liked the Dr. Brandt but everything else was disappointing. I cancelled after getting this box.

This box is usually a winner for me, and this is the best one I’ve received!! I’ve actually purchased several full sized items from this sub. Can’t wait until my birchbox and allure year is up so I can unsubscribe. I’m on product overload but can’t get rid of beauty fix!

BeautyFix is the one box that I sub to that never lets me down. I have found so many amazing products because of this box.

So, The mask was a total no go for me! It had a very strong scent to me. Some of the rich and creamy scents make me feel nauseous, and this lasted on my face for about 1 minute before washing my face clean bc it was overwhelming. Which was actually a good thing bc it’s extremely moisturizing and my skin was greasy into the next day broke out from just the minute. If your face is normal or combination- this isn’t for you. If you are sensitive to thick smells, also not for you. It smells good but my whole room smelled for 2 days until I took out the trash. Just too thick for me.

Love the mini smith & cult! <3 love tocca too!

Waiting on my skin to rebalance before testing the other skin items!

THIS is the box that finally brought me over to Beauty Fix! (The LRP cleanser was just meh for me. I’ll use up the sample with no complaints though!) When I used the Dr. Brandt scrub, it smelled faintly like the red and white sweet peppermint candies-Starmints? Yum! I loved the Smith and Cult gloss! You can build the pigment from faint shine to a bright pinky-coral color. Great box!

Love this box. Love this sub. It never disappoints

I tried the others….but always come back. Beautifix is my standard, against which all others are compared. 4 items in my rotation I would have never heard of if it hadn’t been for beautifix. They have duration I trust.

Jess

Would you use the Paula’s Choice over an eye cream? Or skip eye cream entirely? Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Adele

Since this is a serum, it would go on before eye cream. If you need the eye cream, this is what it say’s on Paula’s website:

“Not everyone needs an eye cream! If the moisturizer and/or serum you use are well formulated and fragrance free, you can use them around the eyes, too. The exception is if the facial moisturizer and serum you use aren’t emollient or enriched enough for your eye area. Eye area skin that’s drier, shows a loss of firmness, and shows dark circles requires a more luxurious, enhanced formula for optimum visible improvement—that’s where the best eye creams excel.”

I also loved this box! I really, really liked the Cranberry Gommage. Perfect fall sample and it left my skin feeling superb! The only thing I don’t particularly care for (my preference) is the cream cleanser. I am just not a cream cleanser person. I feel the need for lather. With this being said, la Roche Posay is owned by Skinceuticals and is an excellent brand. I love my beautyfix!

Chris

I loved everything in it! That Arcona gommage is outstanding.
Beautyfix delivers again!
