Guys, their customer service is atrocious.
I had a similar problem with a promo code last year, plus a wrong item, and it wasn’t resolved in an acceptable way.
also a tip, check if your bank/credit card company has something called virtual account numbers. you can usually set a spend limit or expiration date and it generates a number linked to your actual credit card number. this can help prevent additional charges in case it’s difficult to cancel a subscription. for the record though I haven’t actually seen if a company has tried to charge me despite cancelling as i usually still send a cancellation request and haven’t had any company been so difficult/shady as to actually run into the issue.

Despite numerous attempts I have been unsuccessful in purchasing this box. No one’s been able to figure out why the site keeps saying my credit card number is incorrect even though I used it to buy this box before.
And I used my card today online twice.

Has anyone had luck getting new rings to replace their tarnished ones? La Soula emailed me a confirmation when I wrote about my (silver) tarnished rings but I haven’t received the new ones yet. And I wonder if the new set won’t just have the same problem. They are completely tarnished on the bottom curved part, but not up where the tiny diamonds are. It’s a shame because it really devalues the “retail” value of a box when one item turns out to be crappy quality.

Mine were tarnished too (gold), but based on another reader’s comment, I took them out of the packaging to air out and each day they were less and less tarnished. A few days later they were completely tarnished free! I think it was whatever was in the baggies that caused the tarnishing. Just a FYI. By letting them air out, the issue resolved itself and I didn’t need to contact anyone for replacements.

Mine were replaced. After emailing Kim, maybe call them a week or two afterwards. They had “forgotten” about mine but I did get it in the next shipment batch. Beautiful replacements.

I reached out to Kim at La Soula because I hadn’t received mine. I also asked if they had changed anything about the rings. This is her response to me (my rings were gold):
“Please note that the rings will be shipping between Oct30 and Nov20th.
The original rings were manufactured incorrectly by the vendor. This is very unusual. We have since contracted with a vendor that has manufactured them correctly. They have been product tested.
They will ship to you soon!”

I was going to get it, but the website said my card was declined. When I called my credit card company to unleash my fury, they told me they hadn’t declined anything, and any charges should have gone through. So I tried another card… same declined status. I wonder if they are having issues…

Yeah this happened to me when I ordered a few weeks ago. I contacted customer service. They said sometimes on the weekends their website has glitches and they can’t monitor it well but that it would work again. I appreciated his honesty. Since it’s not the weekend I don’t know what’s happening. Maybe too much traffic? When it happened to me after the weekend the pending sub was cancelled and he was right, I could sign up again. On that note, I should have waited for the $30 off. Will have to hold out longer next time.

Thank you for your tip, subscribed with a different email address and it worked. The Oribe alone retails for $52 and the skinesque is amazing! I could always use the leather bag for my mac and my other one as my bag – matching LOL! The catch alls can be gifts 🙂

They just can’t seem to get rid of this box. I had to put in a cancellation request twice before I finally received confirmation a couple of weeks later. I have been happy with the previous boxes but this one was a complete miss for me. I definitely won’t re subscribe since cancelling was so difficult.

There’s a form you can complete on the website that sends a cancellation request. I received a confirmation of my request within 24 if not 12 hours.

My account says next billing date is Nov 5. I emailed to cancel on Sunday. On Monday, I received an email confirming my cancellation and offering me $20 off the next box if I changed my mind.

I’m not sure when the next billing date is, but when I cancelled awhile back there was a “chat” feature on the website. I was able to do a live chat and confirm right then and there that my request for cancellation was submitted in time…even if the email confirmation was delayed by another week or 2. So I’d check to see if they still have a live chat feature and when it’s available. Good luck!
