This month's theme is "Evening Calm". The foggy autumn images on the information card are so gorgeous, aren't they?

Craftly 1 Hour Break Relaxation Spray Package Craftly 1 Hour Break Relaxation Spray Package Craftly 1 Hour Break Spray for Relaxation Information, Spray, and Packaging Craftly 1 Hour Break Spray for Relaxation Craftly 1 Hour Break Spray for Relaxation

1 Hour Break Relax Kava Spray, 15 ml - Retail Value $29.00

This minty spray packs quite a punch—when I spritzed it in my mouth, it had the bitter, alcohol taste of an old-school mouthwash. It was numbing for a moment, and I wasn't immediately sure what "feeling" I was supposed to be experiencing. About 15 minutes later, I didn't feel a lot different than I did before I did my spritzes. If anything, I think the impact is kind of like the gentle heavy feeling I feel after a glass of wine, but without the mental wooziness. It's definitely an interesting product, and it's convenient to have this on-the-go bottle. Not to say you should use something like this when you're driving around town, but if you're heading out on vacation, it could be helpful to tuck in your toiletry bag. I bet it'd help chill you out a bit if you have trouble sleeping in new hotel rooms or with a noisy, snoring sleeper.

Craftly Moonchild Restorative Oil for Face, Body, and Hair Craftly Moonchild Restorative Oil for Face, Body, and Hair Craftly Moonchild Restorative Oil for Face, Body, and Hair

Free Love Beauty Moonchild Restorative Oil, 0.25 fl oz - Retail Value $14.00, Listed Value $12.00

The first thing I noticed about this oil is the amazing scent. It's got lavender in it, but the aroma is way more earthy and gentle than the bright lavender scents I'm used to. (I actually didn't even associate the scent with lavender when I first smelled it.) According to the Free Love Beauty site shop, this "potion" can be used to soothe your hair and scalp and skin all over your body. Just massaging this greenish oil over my hands, I can tell that the "restorative" claims are no joke. My skin wasn't even terribly dry, but once this oil soaked in, it felt smoother, softer, and even a bit more bouncy and youthful. There's no excess oily feeling, either. What an awesome product! I'm eager to try this on my hair next. Falling asleep with this oil nourishing my scalp would be super calming.

Craftly Slumber Serum Aromatherapy Sleep Aid Craftly Slumber Serum Aromatherapy Sleep Aid Craftly Slumber Serum Aromatherapy Sleep Aid Rollerball

URB Apothecary Slumber Serum, 0.35 fl oz - Retail Value $22.00

I've gotten to try a ton of different essential oil rollerballs thanks to all of the subscription boxes I review. This one is a little middle of the road for me—for me, the most relaxing scents are woodsy aromas like cedar and bergamot, so this blend, which is heavy on the peppermint, didn't strike me as super calming. That said, smelling it was a much-appreciated reset in my day. The peppermint is refreshing and soothing, and the other ingredients (including lavender, chamomile, clary sage, and more) give it an earthy finish.

Craftly Autumn Sea Soak Dead Sea Salts Craftly Autumn Sea Soak Dead Sea Salts

Dirty Mermaid Beauty Autumn Sea Soak, 2 oz. - Retail Value $6.00

This single-use salt bath is very seaweed-y! Along with the other woodsy scents, the experience is a lot like sitting by the sea on a forest-lined coast. That said, seaweed is wonderful for your body, especially when paired with the Dead Sea minerals in this mix. At first, the aroma definitely weirded me out, but the quality of this product is definitely worth it.

The Verdict: I'm always so delighted by Craftly! I love that they feature so many small vendors and that the products are always made from nice materials and ingredients. There are some really unique items and not everything was a total win for me, personally (I'm still not sure how I feel about the kava spray...), but I'm happy to say that once again, I've not be let down by this box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Order by November 1st to get the December box!

Value Breakdown: The box cost $29.95, but I got $71.00 in value, based on the retail values I found for the items. (I was happy to see that most of the values listed in the info card matched the retail values online—the only one that didn't listed an item for $2.00 cheaper than it is online, so I actually got more value than they predicted!) That means that, proportionally, I spent the following on each item:

  • Kava spray - $12.23
  • Restorative oil - $5.91
  • Slumber serum - $9.28
  • Autumn soak - $2.53
