Kalenjin Druzy Earrings - Value $18

OK, so, first of all, I absolutely love these earrings! I love druzy, and I love contrasting metals, so these are an easy win for me. The faux malachite druzy is gorgeous and captures the light beautifully. Having said that, I'm a bit confused about this card that says they were made in Honduras. I can't usually find the earrings for sale online, but since these came on a card that says "Badala", I was able to Google Badala and find these earrings pretty easily. According to Badala's website, these were made in Kenya. Either is fine, but I'm just hoping this was an honest mistake. It seems a bit careless.

The Verdict: I love my subscription to Fair Trade Friday Earring OTM Club. This month's earrings are just gorgeous! I couldn't be happier with the selection. I am a little concerned about getting bad information about the charitable aspect of this subscription, but I tend to think it was a simple mistake. It's a small thing, but I think it makes a big difference to people like myself who care about what they are supporting. In terms of value, $13 for an $18 pair of earrings is awesome!

Hi Anna, Thanks for the review of our Earring of the Month club!! These earrings have been a hit! If you flip over the Badala card that the earrings are attached to it says ‘Made with love in Honduras.’ I emailed Badala to let them know the website says they were made in Kenya, and they responded quickly to let me know they were originally making these in Kenya but are now making them in Honduras. They apologized for the confusion and are going to update their website. Thanks for bringing this to their attention and thanks again for the review!

Badala works with women in multiple countries, and these particular earrings were made in Honduras, not Kenya. They are beautiful earrings!

Has anyone tried the bracelet of the month box? I love wood, leather and bead bracelets and this box may have more bracelets made in that style. Anyone know? Thanks

Wow – those are gorgeous! I’m actually glad you can buy them online because I’m picking up a pair if I can. I say that because I really want the rose gold but they’re currently sold out 🙁 I’ll be keeping my eye on those.

Sammee – I will sell you mine. I got these this month, but I prefer dangle earrings, not studs.
