Am seriously thinking about signing up for this deal but seems like a lot of people have had customer service issues with them.

How difficult is it to cancel after the 3 months? Is it an automated form that you fill out or do you actually have to email/call them to cancel?

I subscribed under a 3 months for $30 deal back in July and I regret it. The 1st box was okay, the 2nd box was mediocre, and the 3rd box wasn’t even worth $10 to me. Unfortunately, I waited until after I tried the 3rd box’s products before canceling, which means I missed the cancelation cutoff by 3 days and they billed me another $60 on October 1. I contacted customer service and they pretty much said: tough luck. We sent you a notice about the subscription renewal. Your last box will be in December.

After looking through my old emails, I discovered the email they were referring to had the subject line “More Glossyness coming your way,” and started with “As a loyal subscriber…” Also, the line about needing to cancel by the 15th was in fine print toward the bottom of the message. Admittedly, I should have read the email more closely, but at the time I first got it, I was distracted and only glanced at it because it looked like some sort of promotional email.

In my opinion, they’re policies (ex. renewal notices that look like promotional emails and requiring customers to cancel over 2 weeks before billing) seem to be designed to squeeze one last payment out of unsuspecting customers who have decided to cancel.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. But if you really want to try this promotion, definitely cancel as soon as they bill you for the last box, unless you are 100% sure you want to keep the subscription.

Don’t do this please!! I did this same offer three months ago and only every received one of my boxes, and getting their customer service team to reply is almost impossible. I also cancelled, and they are still trying to charge me for another three months. Keep in mind, you aren’t just gambling on them charging you for an extra month if you don’t cancel in time, but $60 for another 3. DON’T SUBSCRIBE TO THEM!!

Cristina

Actually, this one is a month to month, so she would be only charged $21 for one month if she didn’t cancel in time. I did this for the last $10 deal and cancelled with no problems (and got all 3 boxes)

nancyisshopping

Just make sure to cancel between December 1st – 14th…not a day later because as of December 15th you would be committed to get the January box for $21.

It’s a fully automated cancel button on their site.

Easy to cancel on website. My last 3 month sub was cancelled and email sent confirming this immediately.

Thank you Nancy!

Not working for me saying “not valid”

Thank you for the tip. Copying and Pasting the code did not work but typing it in manually did. Thank you

Sandra

The coupon code did not work under a 3 month subscription for me. But when I did it as a one month subscription it worked and charged me only $10. So, I guess you can make 3 payments of $10.

it worked when I typed it not copied and pasted. I only order as i just cancelled Beautybox because of budget. I did not like GB as much as BB (except for the pink box 😉 –

Subscribed. I missed out on this deal the last time around and now I’m very happy to grab it. I’ve never had any issues with their customer service.

Helen

Neither have I ! I have had to contact costumer service three times, and each time, the response was that day or next day! I enjoy and use all thier products!

100% honesty – I don’t think I would re-sign up for Glossybox even if THEY PAID ME $10 a month, based solely off the anxiety and disappointment I’ve gone through with them over the past three months. I mean, I do hope Glossybox proves me wrong and sends all their subscribers amazing products (so there are more fun items in the swap tank), but for me: NEVER AGAIN!!

Amy

They are actually counting the watch coupon as an item? 😯

Reply ButtonReply

Granny

I messaged Glossybox and the coupon is not a counted product.

Reply ButtonReply

Noelle L

That is good to know…! I would have jumped at the $10 offer but maxed my budget (trying to be good)..with Allure, Look Fantastic and Beautyfix this month. Still tempting because some of my faves have come from Glossybox in the past…And I have never had a real issue with their CS, thankfully.

Maybe I’ll wait for one more spoiler since the watch coupon is just “bonus” stuff…Thanks, Granny…(I’m Granny, too with my gkids…) 🙂

Taren

Liz the promo code is not working can you check and see if it’s the right one?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

I just rechecked and it is still working for me. Are you using it on the monthly subscription? It won’t work on the 3-month subscription. (Sorry it’s a bit confusing!)

Let me know if that works for you!

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

Darn! I wish I could screenshot a picture! It didn’t work for me under the one month either. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m gonna try logging out and resubmit.

Taren

Ok!! I’ll try that, and YES, I was trying to use the 3 month sub! Thank you!

I’ll need to really be tenacious about canceling in the end if they don’t improve.

Taren

Liz the coupon code is not working…. I typed in TABLET and it says not valid. Can you check that it’s the right one?

Reply ButtonReply

SunnyT

I used the code TABLET and it worked for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

It still won’t work for me but I’m gonna log out and try again.

Taren

Yay I’m gonna resub for this. July and August were nice, Sept was not so I cancelled when the last deal was up. They were just bought out so I expect a few growing pains, but hopefully the new owners will hav ether act together…… 🤞🏽Fingers crossed and the price right.

Reply ButtonReply

SunnyT

That’s exactly what I did too! I am hopeful for some improvements. It’s worth the $10 risk in my opinion. I am optimistic… Glossybox don’t let us down!

Reply ButtonReply

Taren

EXACTLY! Here’s to hoping! Lol

Big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE from me. I got lured in the last time, and while the first box was nice, the last two boxes were very mediocre and one of the boxes I received had that liquid bamboo hair booster spray that spilled all over the inside of my box, ruining the items. I contacted their customer service and waited THREE weeks before I received an unhelpful response back. Two weeks after they responded (5 weeks total, and after I received my last box and canceled my subscription), I received their replacement, only to have half the liquid inside the bottle spill out and the envelope they sent the bottle in opened. So yeah, that’s a big “NOOOOOOOO THANK YOU!”

TL;DR – only sub if you want utter disappointment, and yes, their customer service is horrible.

Can I unsubscribe then resubscribe? I’m not pleased with the watch coupon as an item. This will be my last month unless I can swing the $10 boxes

Reply ButtonReply

SunnyT

You have to unsubscribe by the 15 of the previous month. You could cancel this month and subscribe with a new email, but you will get two October boxes if you do that.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth C

If you unsubscribe and resubscribe now you will get 2 october boxes… thus 2 watch coupons. Although if you can use both together that actually may not be a bad thing!

Reply ButtonReply

Granny

I have a years subscription and thinking about doing this 3 month subscription just because its a great deal, lol.

Bella01

my post didn’t post. I guess i will leave.

Liz Cadman

Hi Bella01, it’s showing up for me – please let me know if there’s a different comment you are looking for, though!

Reply ButtonReply

Hen

Nope, nope.

Reply ButtonReply

Bella01

Last time i signed up for this deal, you Glossy box did me wrong by putting little samples of off, old products and nothing I received was the same as Liz’s review for that month. And then the next two months were dupes. I don’t know why you would do that when I was a subscriber for years. I did not want to part from you. I even bought your LE boxes. Nope, passing. Trying new Subs and loving them even if their more expensive.

Reply ButtonReply

julie

Lol, nope.

Reply ButtonReply

nancyisshopping

Yes! I’ve been hoping for a $10 deal that I could take advantage of. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Regina

Never…Again. Not even for $10 a month! Their customer service is horrible!

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Based on all the horror stories about their customer service, I wouldn’t even sign up if the boxes were free. It’s just not worth the aggravation.

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth Hiley

Do you know how long the code will last?

Reply ButtonReply

Cristina

I recently resubscribed for the $15 deal. I guess I should have waited…

Reply ButtonReply

Elena

Here it is at last. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

Ok, decisions ! I hate their Customer services and the last 3 boxes were awful, but I’m liking the 2 spoilers they have so far….

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy

By far the worst costumer service I have ever experience! They sent me a dry item I contacted them 3 times through their website and seems like people would open my case and intermediately close it because I would get notifications saying case has been resolved… WHAT? I called them and was on hold for 20 minutes till the automatic message hang up on me… WTF! I message them on IG they finally answered me saying well get back to you/// NEVER DID!!!! never again

Reply ButtonReply

Dawnn

same here I finally switched my payment plan to PayPal and filed a claim, got my money back in my account before the customer services even contacted me back after 4 emails and 1 phone call

Rebecca

I agree. They have the worst customer service. I am trying to get rid of them and I am having a hard time getting through
