I subscribed under a 3 months for $30 deal back in July and I regret it. The 1st box was okay, the 2nd box was mediocre, and the 3rd box wasn’t even worth $10 to me. Unfortunately, I waited until after I tried the 3rd box’s products before canceling, which means I missed the cancelation cutoff by 3 days and they billed me another $60 on October 1. I contacted customer service and they pretty much said: tough luck. We sent you a notice about the subscription renewal. Your last box will be in December.
After looking through my old emails, I discovered the email they were referring to had the subject line “More Glossyness coming your way,” and started with “As a loyal subscriber…” Also, the line about needing to cancel by the 15th was in fine print toward the bottom of the message. Admittedly, I should have read the email more closely, but at the time I first got it, I was distracted and only glanced at it because it looked like some sort of promotional email.
In my opinion, they’re policies (ex. renewal notices that look like promotional emails and requiring customers to cancel over 2 weeks before billing) seem to be designed to squeeze one last payment out of unsuspecting customers who have decided to cancel.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. But if you really want to try this promotion, definitely cancel as soon as they bill you for the last box, unless you are 100% sure you want to keep the subscription.
