No they are not I talked to ipsy and they have no clue where this came form

JuJu

Considering that they wrote it to all of us last month who emailed to request an item for October, I say someone is giving you incorrect information.

Chloe

-a brush

I love the bag! The bat zipper pull is adorable! I did the cheat and Im getting the UD 24/7 eyeliner, tarte lifted mascara, meech and mia loose eyeshadow, Luna lip crayon, and a tube I’m not sure of but it looks like Marc Anthony coconut oil. This is going to be my best bag ever!!! Im not going to have anything to trade! Praying for the purple eyeshadow!!

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I am getting the purple shadow not sure what else but I requested that. I am glad I did not request the peach lotion. I read some reveals on Reddit and the lotion comes in a tube and not that cute peach container. At least all they saw was tube we shall see.

Reply ButtonReply

Dani

I did the hack, too. I couldn’t tell what the pink tube was, but it must be the peach hand cream, because I requested it. I’m so disappointed that it doesn’t come in the peach container. I’m getting a white foil packet of something, can’t tell what. Also, the hey honey concealer, it pressed powder, and a clear nail polish.

Dawn

You did the cheat? How? Do tell plz! How?

Go on youtube and search ipsy hack

Marie

Wow! Congrats. Great bag!

I canceled my Ipsy sub last week. Allure is just looking tooooo fine lately! And-I’ve decided I like knowing what I’m getting in my box. I understand that’s purely personal taste. Anyway…just looked at my bank online and SURPRISE, Ipsy debited the October bag yesterday! What the what?!?! I emailed Ipsycare right away and am *hoping* for a quick resolution. I’m scared about some of the customer service nightmares I’ve read about on MSA.

Anyone else get charged for a glam bag even after canceling? For your sake, hope not!

Dawn

The fastest way to get their attention is to post on social media.

Lisa Avebury

So glad I cancelled.

I am super happy with my Ipsy each month, and this bag design could possibly be my favorite yet! I know a lot of people complain about Ipsy, but believe it or not, I am one of those unfortunate folks and it is sometimes hard for me to even spare the $10 each month so just be happy you have the option to afford this luxury each month while some have to skip it even though they really appreciate their monthly luxury! I for one look forward to this every single month that I can afford it! Happy to be able to get October’s bag and happy to be able to try products even if they are “cheaper,” but from my experience pricier isn’t always better. I never use cleansers on my face anymore, or lotions, because I found that for me if I use them they ironically make me look older… weird I know. lol So if I don’t get teh latest $200 cleanser, it’s no biggie. So Grateful this month! xxx

I just started with Ipsy last month – and I do think it is a great value for only $10 a month – it’s like getting great makeup %75 off! I was really excited to get both the Smashbox primer I wanted to try and the tarte mascara which is one of the only mascaras I can wear.

I don’t normally buy makeup at all since it’s hard to justify the cost for something that is only for myself and doesn’t really help anyone else or something that is more useful in the family budget. I figure $10 a month is an OK amount to splurge for a while and build up a makeup/skincare set. I want to use the bags to make little makeup ‘kits’ that I can just grab and put in my purse to go.

heat7918

I’m curious what you use to remove makeup/SPF/dirt, etc. if you don’t use cleansers?

Reply ButtonReply

heather reckley

I use baby wipes.

Jenai

Currently, I use baby wipes. Those are pretty amazing for makeup removal and, with a toddler, the house is full of them.

JuJu

Not speaking for the other person, but I know my mother has just been using shampoo for that reason for years! Decades, probably.

Dawn

I do understand how it is for you. I honestly didn’t intend to stick with Ipsy this long because I wasn’t sure if yet another monthly bill would be ok. I found that the products I get (most of the time) out way the cost and it actually saves me money. So there are a couple of things I gave up to stick with Ipsy. Plus, the stuff I don’t want, they make good gifts. FYI, the Target beauty box for October just launched. It has 3 full sized makeup products in it, $7.00 free shipping. You can find it here on Mysubscriptionaddiction.com. Also, you can email ipsycare & opt out of cleansers.

Yassss bat zipper pull!! Here comes more jewelry, so I’ll be swapping for every bag I can. Bats are my spirit animal, and my cyberspace handle is fruitbat5150.

I’m currently making jewelry with the gold tassels from the Good Vibes August bags, and from Gudetama’s “meh…” speech balloon. Nothing super fancy, just some jump rings and earring wires, maaaaybe a few small beads for color.

I requested the UD eyeliner for Bag #1 and didn’t request for bag #2. I usually groan about getting yet another black eyeliner in boxes… but Urban Decay is a different story.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenai

That’s an interesting idea to upcycle the bags into jewelry! I’ll be using the bags for a while, but might try something like that if I get a design I dislike or end up with too many to use 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

Hmm I really liked last October’s Halloween-themed bag, so I’m a bit disappointed by this year’s. (Also not a big fan of lace.)

Hope I get the BeBio polish! Never cared for Rimmel lipsticks, though that color looks versatile.

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon Seneker

♥ the bag and the 5 beauty products! I look forward every month to receiving my ipsy glam bag! Fun & a good value!

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

This is my first box from ipsy (I’m trying for 3 months to see what it’s like) and I have to say, I’m very disappointed in the bag. The picture of it is so boring. Maybe it will look better in real life.

Reply ButtonReply

Redwoods301

Me too, it’s very blah, especially when compared to last October’s bag.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

That’s what I am hoping as well.

Although I rarely keep (or like, for that matter) Ipsy bags, but this one is just super blah.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Cute bag! Love most of the spoilers. I requested the IT powder. Hope I get the smash box primer and hey honey concealer too.

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Pretty bag! They allowed me to request the It Cosmetics setting powder, which was very nice of them.

Can anyone explain why eyebrow pencils all have that weird square tip? I am curious. Or why the texture seems so dry, so that they break immediately when I try to use them LOL?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oh! and, she was just using the tip of the pencil in her strokes.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I prefer brow powder, but my mom showed me how to use one of those brow pencils (after I gave her yet another one and couldn’t understand why I never want them). While I can’t explain the tip shape or why it’s so dry, she showed that to prevent from it breaking, you only roll the product up just a tiny bit, and use quick, light strokes which create the appearance of hairs. She showed me on the back of her hand, and of course she made it look super easy, and it really did look like hair on her hand! But, I think I’ll still stick to brow powder. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Thank you Luna!! A makeup artist showed me how to use eyeshadow to fill in my brows (probably it’s the same thing as brow powder, constituent-wise). I’ll stick with it. I appreciate you explaining it.

Caitli

I hate those chella eyebrow products they are awful

Reply ButtonReply

Toni

How weird I love them

Amber

I’ve gotten 2 Chella eyebrow pencils during my time with ipsy, and I love them. Never had any issues with them breaking off. Perhaps you’re pressing too hard or twisting up too much product.

Marion

I like the look of the bag in the photo, but I wonder if it is actual lace or just a lace print. The bat zip is super cute, though!

I requested the vitamin C eye cream. I love receiving nail polish in my bag, but I am disappointed to see yet another deep red color.

Reply ButtonReply

Shu

I would SO rather get red than yet another grey shade.

Reply ButtonReply

Anie Chen

I like the bag. More now we know its lace. there are some products I really do like this month, like the bye bye pores, lights camera lashes, and the hey honey trick and treat (sounds just right in season lol)

Reply ButtonReply

Britt

Is it just me or does Ipsy seem to be going downhill? I’m grateful for all I receive, but there’s nothing here that looks appealing to me. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

RachelW

I noticed that a couple months back when every item except for one was from a brand I never heard of. I checked out all their websites and they were either new-ish brands trying to get their name out there, or their target audience was at least a decade or so younger than me. Yikes!
It’s like ipsy’s business model has changed to be more like a Groupon for new brands to drum up customers for cheap.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I was just thinking same thing. I heard they sent a survey asking how much one would pay to be able to pick an item. Which I thought was rude but I have not seen the survey. They are also spamming their Ipsy shopper which I have no interest in. They emailed me Friday AND Saturday about it. I responded that I don’t shop those products they would need to give me75% cash back to spend $20 on one lipstick!!

Reply ButtonReply

Toni

The day that they try to charge xtra money to pick one of your items will be the day I cancel

Nyesha

See I think the ipsy shopper is pointless unless you actually shop those brands. And how can you shop those brands if you don’t get enough samples of those brands, like MAC. I think for 10 dollars, the stuff already offered is nice plus the ipsy offers and promo codes for the brands.

vanessa

Nope. I’m glad I canceled.

They are too all the map map me.

Reply ButtonReply

Caroline

I am glad I suspended my October subscription. Compared to Boxycharm, ipsy leaves a lot to be desired. I will probably suspend November, too or cancel all together.
I have to say that the bag design is so cute.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessicups

Isn’t Boxycharm more then double the cost of Ipsy?

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

Is that a Rimmel product? What a shock! After their dollar makeup video, I don’t expect discount store products such as the Ponds product they sent out in Glambags. They have put cheap products in past Glambags & just look at some of the products in the rewards points section. Ponds & Wet N Wild are both brands that can be picked up at Walmart, dollar general & dollar tree. Same with the Rimmel lipstick, it’s $5.00 @ walmart. If it’s not good enough for ipsy’s curators, I don’t expect to get it in my Glambag.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenai

Why is a possible $5 Rimmel lipstick a problem, so long as it works? Not every piece of makeup can retail over $30! Ipsy is a good mix of nice brands (tarte, smashbox, IT, urban decay, etc.) plus brands one might not think to try or might avoid. I’d much rather a mix of brands in usable products than for all the pieces to be high-end brands in tiny, tiny sample sizes.

I actually think the Rimmel nude lipstick looks pretty versatile – and isn’t a problem in a $10 makeup subscription that generally has $40+ worth of value. It’s not my favorite brand, but I’ve never tried one of their lipsticks.

The other spoilers are all products that retail $10-$40 each – I can imagine this month’s Ipsy bag will likely have an even higher overall retail value than usual.

Reply ButtonReply

T

Omg yes! When I saw wet and wild for 500 points I about lost it. That’s all of points for something I can get at Walgreens.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

Exactly. The $7.00 Target beauty box just launched. Guess what?! There’s a Rimmel lip product in it! LOL!

Dawn

The October Target beauty box is up and guess what?! Rimmel! LOL!!!

Amanda

I just pulled out last years bag to use as a change purse tge Halloween theme bags are so cute.

Has anyone tried the smashbox photo finish lid primer? I’ve been looking for a primer for my under- eye concealer.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenai

I own one I bought in a primer set at Sephora – I really like it! It goes on smooth, good coverage, and helps eyeshadow wear a lot longer and stay in place. I haven’t actually tried it under my eyes, but that sounds like a great idea!

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

I love Smashbox’s primer. I like it better than UD because it doesn’t mess with the texture of your shadow. Just give it a few seconds to warm up on your lid and you’re good to go.

Reply ButtonReply

Wendy B

I’ve tried it and liked it a lot. It would be my go to if Urban Decay stopped making their primer potion.

Reply ButtonReply

Heat

I too thought the bag looked way different. I’m forever a fan of lace, so this may very well go in my purse.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

I like the bag, and I wouldn’t mind getting any of the spoilers! I’m super excited for this month!

Reply ButtonReply

nonyab

Love this bag!

Reply ButtonReply

L

Not a fan of this bag. I suspended my sub for October mainly because of products overload and partly because of the design of this bag.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Beautiful bag! But, is that a hair on the bottom of the bag? haha

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

They totally took that photo down and put up a new one without a hair, I’m dying!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

Lol!

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

😂

Reply ButtonReply

Morgan

The bag design is way better than I expected. It kind of reminds me of the September 2015(?) bag with the blue and black lace.
