Now, onto the items!
Hurraw Sun Protection Balm SPF15, .15 oz. FULL SIZE - Value $6.63 USD (£4.99)
The first item this month is a mineral sunscreen based lip balm in the scent tangerine chamomile. With lots of natural oils and waxes, this balm is moisturizing and protects your lips from sunburn. I felt the need to reapply often to my already chapped lips (from too much sun). Hopefully, this will prevent that from happening on my next trip to the beach. Also, it smells like natural Fruity Pebbles if you can imagine that.
Esse Gel Cleanser, .34 fl. oz. - Value $3.32 USD (buy a 100ml bottle for £25/$32.97 USD)
This peppermint scented face wash is meant to increase circulation to remove toxins from the skin. It is supposed to foam, but I got no suds whatsoever when I washed my face. My skin didn’t feel stripped but didn’t necessarily feel better either. I think the mintiness is too much for around my eyes and I like a cleanser I can use on my whole face.
Joik Bath Truffle - Value $2.20 USD (buy a pack of 6 for £10/$13.19 USD)
I was so excited to smell a chocolate bath bomb! Unfortunately, it didn’t smell much like anything but cocoa butter. I dropped it in a hot bath and it didn’t fizz up like typical bath bombs. Instead, it slowly dissolved and left me with an oily bath. I guess that is why it is a truffle, not a bomb. My skin felt great and like it was being conditioned. Standing up was a little hazardous because of the film it left in my tub. Overall I think it was a great treat but a little too messy for me to want to use again.
Kimberly Sayer Sample Set, 4 foil packets
Samples of 4 different Kimberly Sayer products were included this month, two cleansers and two moisturizers. All of her products are gentle and chemical-free. I never feel that I can tell if I truly like a product with the use of a foil packet, but I liked the feel of these products initially.
Balm Balm Beauty Balm, 2.11 fl. oz. FULL SIZE - Value $21.76 USD (£16.50)
This seems to be one of the favorite brands on LoveLula’s site and this really is a do-it-all product. Cleanser, exfoliator, moisturizer, and the list goes on. It smells like lavender and it has a nice texture that melts right into skin. The listing on the site includes a muslin cloth for removal but any soft cloth will do. I like the balm formula because it is easy to apply to my face, unlike oils which can get tricky. It leaves my skin soft, comfortable, and without any irritation. I still apply a moisturizer after cleansing, but I can make it through the day without that tight faced, dry feeling. Also, yay for clear expiration dates!
Oils of Heaven Gift Set, 5 bottles 5 ml each - Value $26.37 USD (£20)
This set includes samples of 5 different facial oils. I have been experimenting with facial oils lately and these are some of the best I’ve tried. They are lightweight and fragrance-free. My skin drinks them up so I have no problem using these under my makeup in the morning. Each bottle has enough for about 5 generous applications which is perfect for testing for sensitivities. The box makes these perfect for gifting or even travel as we move into the drier months.
Verdict: This is my first LoveLula Beauty Box and I feel like it is a great intro. I like most of the products and the fact that I know they are safe for my skin. This box has a value of $60.28 (not including the value of the foil packets) and free shipping. I paid about $23.26 for this box, so that is about double the cost. Though being outside of the UK makes this box a little more costly, I think you are paying for a curation of products that are rigorously vetted for their effectiveness, sustainability, quality and policies against animal testing. I am interested to see what next month will bring!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first box will be November.

- Esse Gel Cleanser: $1.28
- Joik Bath Truffle: $0.85
- Balm Balm Beauty Balm: $8.40
