Scentbird is a cologne subscription for women and men where you choose one fragrance per month. They offer a variety of authentic designer scents and allow you to narrow down by either traditional categories for notes (e.g., citrusy, woodsy, spicy, etc.) or more general descriptive terms (e.g., casual, workout, going out). Subscribers also receive a monthly discount code that can be used on full-size bottles of perfume or cologne from the Scentbird shop.

Since this is my first month using Scentbird, they sent this informative card noting how to open the bottle holder and how to replace the cologne inside when I receive future shipments.
Scentbird always sends a preview card that features the following month's feature fragrance - For October, the featured scent is ICED, by Hugo Boss. The scent's notes are Iced Mint, Wild Tea, and Vetiver, all of which sound nice and pretty soothing - I think I may add this scent for an upcoming delivery!
Now let's take a look at the scent I chose to receive for September!
Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois by Cartier, 8ml - Value $6.46 (Buy a 3.3 oz. bottle for $53.99 on FragranceNet)
This cologne is described as a combination of the freshness of water and the warmth of precious wood. This unisex scent is perfect for me and has all the traits that I look for in my perfect cologne; it has just the right amount of musk, while not being offensive, and has slight notes of floral and citrus, which makes it a little more "softer". This scent isn't overly strong, which I (& others I'm sure!) truly do appreciate, so I'm not instantly known when walking into a room. This scent is truly a winner in my book; I look forward to seeing what others think of it on me.
Verdict: This was my first experience using Scentbird and overall I’m pretty impressed! I picked a less expensive cologne this month, so the value received is about half of the subscription cost. This doesn't bother me in the slightest as I'm quite pleased with the scent received and am happy to try new scents each month. I think in the future, I will try to look for more "expensive" colognes to compare, but must keep in mind that more expensive doesn't always mean "better".
