October's theme is Salsa!

Square Hue Polish in Tumbao - Value $10

This shade is a warm greige high gloss creme. A perfect neutral for me!

Square Hue Polish in Raqs Montuno - Value $10

This shade is a warm purple/brown high gloss creme.

Square Hue Polish in Clave - Value $10

This shade is described as a crelly shimmer. I don't really see the shimmer, but I like the crelly finish. It has a smokey mirror/glass vibe

Here are all the shades on:

(Two coats for all shades.)

Verdict: I'm a fan of this nail polish subscription box! I think Square Hue is great for getting a wide variety of colors and finishes. They definitely push me out of my neutral-colors comfort zone! The formulas are impressive and hold up well, too. Plus I think $21 for 3 polishes is a fair value.

I’ve discovered that the crelly polishes seem to work best with several very thin layers applied. It brings out a really gorgeous depth that you just don’t get with a creme finish. If there’s shimmer in a crelly, sometimes I can’t really see it on my nails without 3 or 4 delicate layers. It’s more work, but the visual payoff can be huge, if you are into that sort of thing. Clearly I am!

I like the Montuno.

I’m personally not a fan of a crelly finish, but that is for sure a winning combination of shades!
