Now, onto the items!

Starlooks Artist Edition Luxe Longwear Eye Liner Pen Black with Heart - Value $19

This is a good, basic black liquid liner that has a felt tip point on one end and a heart-shaped stamp on the other. While I won’t be using the stamp side, the point makes it easy to get crisp lines right where you want them. The liner is more like an ink and takes a couple of passes to be truly opaque. Once it dries, it has good staying power and lasts through my work day and a workout.

J. Cat Wholly Addiction Pro Define Eye Liner Clean White - Value $2.99

This white liner is made from California cedar wood and non-mechanical. It is a little difficult to sharpen to a point without it breaking. The idea for the look this month was to have a black and white double-winged liner. Because this was more like a traditional pencil, all I got were gray smudges when applied it next to the black. I think this could be useful to layer under vibrant eyeshadows to really help them pop, but as a liner, I just wasn’t loving it.

Bellapierre Shimmer Powder Eyeshadow Jadoo - Value $15

With small flecks of gold shimmer, this burgundy eyeshadow is a rich, deep color perfect for fall clothes. While dark, loose powder shadows can often be intimidating, I actually really like this one because it can be blended out to a pretty subtle shade in my crease and didn’t leave a mess all over my face. It would make a great liner when mixed with some setting spray too.

Cailyn Deluxe Mineral Blush Powder Dusty Rose - Value $26

This blush looks like it would be so dark but it is actually perfect. As with all loose powder blushes, it’s best to start with a small amount and work up. This shade is like a dusty apricot and adds so much warmth to my face. The formula is light and smooth and reminds me of a BareMinerals blush which I would expect with a price of $26.

Kokie Matte Lipstick High Tea - Value $6

Here is another shade that looked like it would be so dark and way too brown for my skintone, but again, looks nice. The formula is lightweight and not tacky with a matte (but not dry) finish. It did transfer to my glass but had pretty good staying power and I applied another layer without splotches. No noticeable fragrance either which is always good for lip products.

Here is a look with all of the items from this month’s box. I like the softness of the blush and the overall warmth of the look. The double liner was difficult to get to look clean because of the different formulas of liners. I ended up using the white liner on my bottom waterline and a bit on the wing to try and achieve a mod look. Not terrible, but also not something I would do often.

Verdict: Sweet Sparkle’s “Winging It” box has a value of $68.99 plus free shipping. That’s an increase in value from last month. All of the items, as always, are full-sized and coordinated to fit into a whole look. I like all of the products and I’ll use everything, except maybe for the white liner, as I transition into fall colors. My favorites are the blush, lip color, and eyeshadow. I hope next month continues with a higher value trend!
