T-Post is a super cool Swedish t-shirt subscription box that tells stories through words and wearable art. The result is a new twist on the concept of a magazine. Each month brings a new shirt design and a new story. According to their site:
A T-post story can be an in depth interview with someone we think is interesting (like Ricky Powell or Eric HAZE), or a stories about how we never really get our hands dirty anymore, or how the only way to become truly cool is by hanging out in nature, where nobody can see you. In all our stories we tend to openly reflect on what’s happening around us in a time when everything is moving so fast that we hardly ever take the time to.
The t-shirt designs are all unique collaborations with artists, designers, and brands. Their site mentions past collaborations with "Alife and Staple, as well as organizations like TEDx and Fatta Man."

This is my first T-Post order, and it came with this great welcome letter from the company's founder.
Here's the tee itself. I love the bright colors and the super bold, graphic face. The dots sort of nod to Roy Lichtenstein's work.
I should mention that while they do offer women's cuts, I opted for a men's small. I tend to like the simplicity of a men's tee more than a women's tee, and they usually fit my broader shoulders a little better. And if I'm being completely honest, I love how easy it is for me to slice the sleeves or neckline off of a men's tee and give a much-loved tee a second life as a tank. (That's something I do a lot, especially if I get a new tee in the winter and want to freshen things up come spring!)
Okay, this next detail is probably my favorite thing about this subscription! In lieu of an info card or sheet of paper that could get crunched in shipping and let's be real, will probably get tossed not too long after reading it, T-Post prints the "story" for the month and the artist info on the inside of the shirt!
This month's essay called "The Untouchables of the Internet" is all about the corporations managing what information we see online and the ways that power is and isn't being checked. It's definitely a relevant topic. I like that the essay, while brief, was just the kind of thing to spark my curiosity on the matter. It's the sort of thing I could see inspiring really interesting, important conversation over dinner or drinks with friends.
I also thought it was cool how they note the number of "issues" of this tee that have been shipped out and to how many countries. It reiterates the global reach of the T-Post community, but also its exclusivity. (There are only 2,438 of these tees spread across 53 countries, and I've got one of them!)
The image this month is by Craig & Karl, a design team interested in creating portraits with very bold, deconstructed, pattern-rich elements. Mark Zuckerberg was brought up in the essay, and now I can't unsee him in this face...
I'm a fan of tucking in every shirt I wear (and cuffing the sleeves a bit, too), but I left this out over the top of my skirt just to show the length.
I like how big the graphic is on the shirt, too. Big and bold is my favorite when it comes to tees.
Did you notice the little T-Post tag on the sleeve, too? Love that clever envelope-inspired design!
The Verdict: I. Am. In. Love! T-Post tunes into so many of my interests at once—art, writing, and effortless style. I think it's such a good idea including the featured text on the garment, too, so that it 1) saves on waste and 2) lets me grow a collection of writing as I grow my closet. The balance of form and function is awesome. I can't wait to see what next month brings! And for anyone wondering what to get your hipster friend who has everything this holiday season—this is it.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Sign up by the 10th to get that month's tee!
Value Breakdown: This subscription cost 33 EURO, which currently equals about $39.01. Exchange rates vary month to month, so that cost may go up or down for customers not in the EU.
