Received in the mail today, and very pleased. I was worried about the possibility of a blue lip color but was fortunate to get a light pink. It is very neutral. (If I’d received the blue one, we would have used it for Halloween or offered it to someone who would enjoy an unusual color). The matte lip felt nice and wasn’t drying in any way. I also received the pewter eyeliner and was pleased with how soft and easy it was to blend. I’ve never used a gray liner before. I’d say this was a hit, and am looking forward to trying the shampoo tomorrow. Definitely recommend trying if you’re on the fence.

Got mine yesterday with Fire starter (red) lip color. Exchanged it today for one of the Kate Nude lipsticks……With a decent color lipstick, this box was well worth $7.

Beware! I just got mine this month and my lip color is blue. I don’t always need to be in love with the shade, but dark, dark blue isn’t for most.

I got blue, also. Hideous! I’m going to try and see if I can exchange it for a better color. Other than that, I’m very pleased.

You can always exchange it at the store for a color you like.

That’s great to know! Thanks!

I did that once maybe a year ago, and it was a huge hassle. They didn’t know what the heck I was talking about with the beauty boxes. They ended up doing it as a return without a receipt (on a Target gift card so I could buy the color I wanted), but you’re limited to a certain number of those per year. I mean, I don’t abuse Target’s return policy (I always have a receipt or the card I used to pay), but I also don’t like having a potential return option if, say, I get a new card and don’t have a receipt anymore. I just wish Target would either only send the advertised color (or advertise that the color may vary) or tell the stores what these beauty boxes are about so that people can freely exchange colors.

Wha..?
I once got a blue lipstick from the UK beauty box called Look Incredible (someone recommended as the full-size Sephora Play). I immediately canceled, and received a follow-up email from them as to my reasons, and I replied, I can’t believe I actually paid for that, what on earth were you thinking with this?
Wow, okay, glad I haven’t ordered this one.

I should add, though, that that blue lipstick garnered quite a bit of interest on the swap site though, for some strange reason. I ended up swapping it for something I wanted with no problems whatsoever. 🙂

Blue? Wow, I’m glad I didn’t bite this month, as the lip stuff would have been the one thing really making it worthwhile for me.

Mine was a pretty pink.

Got one. Good deal, useful items, only $7! No need to overthink or ponder.

Loved this box-so much nicer than last month. I just got the Walmart box and it was so sad!!! Only deodorant and face sponges with 3 little samples. Very tossed together, not normal. Staying with Target because I can see what is in the box before ordering it. If you don’t like it, don’t order it.

This was an easy no for me. I just returned my September boxes this past weekend. Target did credit me $5. On a side note I got email notification the Walmart Fall Box is coming soon. Always a good deal at $5.

I’m a little curious what about my hand wash comment was so provocative that it’s still under moderator review half a day later.

grabbed 1 because I have been in Target withdrawal , I have passed on the last couple boxes.

Not after last months!!! No thank you. Maybe… Maybe if it were $5 or if they offered a discount on it to those that purchased the falsely advertised box last month. Don’t trust them. Also, every single Target box beauty & baby, that I have purchased has had damaged products and/or damaged packaging. You can’t gift a full sized item to someone with damaged packaging. Hopefully Target will get it together. Until then, they have lost my business entirely.

So much passion and anger! I’m sure they’ll refund your money…. but I must concur with rey, it really is only $7 bucks.

all you have to do is contact them and they right the wrong. it’s $7 for crying out loud

I can only speak about the Boxes I have ordered from target. Everyone of them have been packed perfectly. The one time I was missing an item and another time and item was damaged they were extremely responsive and quick to get it sent out the very same day. All you have to do is contact them and they will make it right. If you don’t contact them and let them know there’s a problem you can’t really talk bad about them with justification.
I always order several boxes at a time so I would say they are perfect 90% of the time.
Everyone can make a mistake but if you don’t let them know there’s a problem then it’s seriously is your problem
Tara
Actually they made a note to all call reps not to compensate anyone else who called to complain. It doesn’t matter if it’s $7 or $7000, it’s false advertising and it’s illegal and wrong! I will no longer give them my business because of this. If they had recognized what they did and refunded everyone who purchased, that would be a different story. But instead they chose to refuse to make it right.
MzBev
Yep, I did online chat regarding the discrepancies in what they had listed on the site and what we actually received. I was given my $7 credited back. I feel they made it right, for me.
I will pay close attention to what they list and what we receive from now on. I did buy this box still though.
Stefanie
absolutely not! It’s preposterous that we have to call & chase them down to get our money back when they falsely adverstised 5 out of the 7 items in last months box. And the money part aside-we are all aware its only 7$- but its bad business to do what they did. Period.
Brenda
Still annoyed after the last box. I returned it because it wasn’t as advertised and followed up a couple of times. More than 2 weeks after they received it, I had to follow up again to get them to finally provide a refund. In 2015, their boxes were amazing and introduced me to products I have used ever since. Nothing like that this year and the brands seem to get more generic while the sizes get smaller and smaller.

I grabbed one for less than $2 by using a gift card and red card. There are a couple of items I’m interested in, otherwise I would have skipped this box.

As a person who hasn’t seen their own natural hair color in about 35 years and isn’t sure what it truly is, the ELF eyebrow pencil in taupe is a godsend! It’s a true neutral, and allows me to fill in my eyebrows with a natural looking color.

Hey, the e.l.f. brow product is a wax, not a color.

Did anyone get a confirmation notice yet? I ordered one early this morning.
Usually, I get one right away so I’m worried that something may be wrong.

I’m tempted but don’t care for more shampoo…and I’m on overload with brow and lip products. A few of the other items are interesting, but I’ll hang on to my seven bucks.

Same here – I am also trying to cut back on random $5 or $10 spending, and the only thing that vaguely interested me was the brow wax pencil as a backup. However it’s not worth spending $7 to get that and a bunch of stuff I’m not really interested in – I’d rather just buy a brow wax pencil when I need it. (Right now I’m using a NYX one.) It’ll be the first time I’ve skipped a Target box in a long time!

Got one, thanks for the heads up!
Not thrilled about the foil packs, and would love a conditioner with the shampoo, but overall, everything will be sampled.
Can’t beat it for $7! Unless of course it’s marked down later in the month for $5! 🙂

Barbie, I had the same response as you: Not a fan of foil packs and I gotta have me a matching shampoo and conditioner set! However, all would get used (between myself and my daughter), so…I AM going to wait and see if it gets a $5 mark down ; ) Guess I’m spinning the wheel and takin’ my chances! Enjoy the box: It’s still a good deal!

I snagged it! I love that Target lets us sample things I can actually afford to buy regularly. To me, even though I don’t really need another black eyeliner, the box is worth it just for that (~$7.50 RV) and for a chance to try cheaper versions of products I need more of (matte lipstick and brow stuff!).

This is how I feel. I can’t always afford to buy the higher end stuff that I may get in other boxes (right now I just get IPSY and hey…I’m a teacher, I don’t have money.) I’m pretty happy with this box. I’ll use it all.

Target has a $5 gift card with a $20 beauty and personal care purchase until 10/7, available with online orders.
That being said, I think I’ll be passing again. I’m actually running out of moisturizer samples so the one thing that would have convinced me isn’t there again. I have way too many shampoos and conditioners stocked up.

Yeah, I just can’t muster up any interest in this… Feels like a bunch of random products thrown together.

Looks disappointing to me. I don’t like foil samples and hate getting shampoo without a conditioner. For $5 it’d be an ok box. Rimmel and ELF are not my favorite brands, though ELF has some surprise hits.

I’m in it just for the mask and brow wax! I’m always looking for new brow stuff. Super excited about this box.
I am getting sick of them pulling the switcheroo with product sizes so hopefully we won’t have any of that this month when it comes to the little shampoo or hand wash(why hand wash? WHY?).

Jay
I agree hand wash is an odd inclusion, BUT I really like to bring travel size hand wash with me when I stay at hotels. I hate washing my hands with bar soap (personal quirk and it’s messy), and hotels rarely have liquid soap.

I did not purchase this box but I have gotten a hand wash in a box before. I think it was an honest company product. If you read the ingredients, it’s probably the same as body wash. I’m so sensitive to commercial hand washes in public restrooms! I’ve come close to having to go to the ER a couple of times. I actually carry a really small refillable bottle of my own in my purse. I got this brand in a body wash and that’s what I used it for.
Rebecca
Yeah, I found the hand wash inclusion a little strange. Usually it’s body wash or body scrub from that brand.

Gonna pass, too. I thought about it. It is appealing to me — I like that Maui line, and am always on the hunt for a new eyebrow product and the hand wash sounds nice, etc. — but I really do not need any more STUFF. I spent some time and energy decluttering my (semi-massive) lipstick collection over the weekend and do not need to add a random lip product when I’m still trying to slim it down.

Its a no for me and has been a no for a while. This month, it’s because I hate Neutrogena eyeliners, they just don’t work or have enough pigment for me, and I have enough matte red lipgloss/stick for a lifetime!

I use that L’Oreal shampoo and conditioner, on myself and my daughter. I really like it. It’s perfect on her hair, but it dries my ends out a little. Which isn’t a big deal, because I usually use a little serum on it anyways. So in the end, it works out. Would recommend for anyone who gets oily roots easily
