Each box comes with a theme. This is Box 5 and was themed "The Marvelous Age".
It comes with this nice 8x10 information pamphlet. There's a lot of good stuff to read here! The front features a little blurb about the theme from Stan, each item has its own write-up, and the back has one more informative article about Stan, Marvel, or just comics in general!
Stan Lee Shirt - Value $15?
Most of the months (if not all?) have included a shirt - and this month's shirt was my favorite yet.
The back design has Stan Lee's famous "Excelsior" saying - and his face as a skull and crossbones, but with pencils as the bones - good design!
Iron Man QFig FX – Value $20
The first thing I saw was a bit confusing - they're calling this an exclusive, but I got it in my July A-Box and it's for sale online - neither option you can have received is actually an exclusive!
You could have received a Daredevil or Iron Man QFig.
This one lights up - which makes it extra awesome - and it comes with batteries.
All lit up - it's TOTALLY awesome. QFigs are only getting better and better since I first received on in a Loot Crate a long while ago - great job!
Stan Lee Wham Blox - Value $5-10?
I can't find Wham Blox online in general - so the value is just a guess.
These are made by Bleacher Creatures, and they have the same fabric as their typical plushes as well.
It's got a 360-degree design - including little shoes!
It's a fun little design - he'll go somewhere in my office!
A few items arrive with extra protection - pop open this envelope to reveal more goodies!
Inhumans #1 and #2 with variant covers - Value $10?
You'll get issues #1 and #2 of the latest Inhumans line. The covers take Jack Kirby's illustration from Fantastic Four #1 and adapt it for these issues - each cover is a step in the cover painting process - cool covers.
I also really like that it's the first two issues - it'll get you right into the new storyline. Not to mention - it's timed perfectly with the Inhumans TV series.
Joe Jusko Print - Value $10-15?
You'll always get a print that goes with the comic covers. These are always really good quality and arrive in a plastic protector.
It'll arrive with details about the illustrator as well.
Stan's Soapbox Collection - Retail Value $14.99 (You can get the old version on Amazon for cheap)
The collection was first released in 2008, but this is an exclusive reprint with a very slightly different cover.
It features 14 years of Stan's soapbox entries - it's a fun read of Stan's thoughts from 1967-1980.
The Invincible Iron Man Marvel Masterworks - Retail Value $24.99 ($17 on Amazon)
You'll get one of five Marvel Masterworks books - Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Human Torch, or two different Avengers volumes.
These are always fun volumes if you want to read some of the best stories from your favorite characters.
Fun Facts Collector Card – Value $2?
Every delivery comes with a Marvel Fun Fact - this month talks about the transition to the name "Marvel Comics"!
Excelsior Stickers
You'll also get some new 'Excelsior' stickers!
Verdict: For the most part, I'm still enjoying The Stan Lee Box - my only gripe - I was hoping for more exclusive toys and figures in addition to the awesome variant covers. But, that being said, I still have a blast browsing through every box. This wasn't my favorite of the boxes so far, but I thought it was still pretty solid.
