This month's album was new for me - and it did not disappoint!
Each delivery comes with a cocktail mix to accompany the music and a foreword from the Vinyl Me, Please team.
It's also accompanied by an LP-size piece of artwork.
Moses Sumney - Aromanticism
Aromanticism is the debut album from Moses Sumney. It's moody, soulful, and just beautiful from front to back.
I was really enjoying the photography on the gatefold of this album - and that custom vinyl color was just a unique touch.
You'll get the digital edition of the album, too - great to take on the go.
There's a lot to unpack visually with the album - and it all went really well with the vibe and tone of the music. This was great to accompany from the front to the back of this record.
It comes with this little piece of beveled artwork, as well - there was A LOT before even getting to the LP!
Simple and beautiful is how I'd describe this custom LP - much like the music itself.
The album is one you'll want to pop on when you're looking to just chill out. It's got a bit of an old bluesy/jazzy/soul vibe. Moses' voice is unique and distinct - it cuts right through the piano and horns to give a chilling vibe to each song. I can't recommend giving this one a try enough! It's a nice little journey.
Verdict: While I always enjoy a good reissue or special edition of a classic album - I also can't say enough about getting something unknown and it turning out to be a really beautiful album - so this month was a hit of a different kind for me! Not only was the music fantastic - but it was a complete piece of art with the gatefold and art pieces!
