Easy pass for me, I don’t like any of their perfumes!

I’m a Dior fanatic. Like I buy everything Dior. This is way too expensive for what it is. These calendars should be used to introduce people to the brand because everything is sample/deluxe sized. It should be between 100-150 for price point. I don’t get why these calendars are sold for such high prices! If anyone has FOMO, send me a message, I’ll put something up for you on the ‘bay. loveless_vip at yahoo.

I was also wondering if these are all full size given the ridiculous price.

Yikes!! Too pricey for me! I’m sure it’s all beautiful. There are a lot of nice Dior products that I’ve bought for years but I don’t like most of their perfumes at all.

If it was all makeup, I’d go for it- so many holy grail items with the brand for me. The inclusion of the perfume in such a prominent way is a deal breaker. Too much of the value of the box goes down a path that I don’t/ can’t use. On the other hand, if someone is really a Dior perfume fan, then maybe this is something that would cater to them.

There are also men’s perfumes included, which I find odd,

At least it’s an easy pass for me – I actually don’t like any of their perfumes! 😀
The only fragrance from Dior I ever liked was Fahrenheit for men, that one was amazing.

I feel like those complaining about price or perceived lack of value are missing the point: this calendar isn’t aimed at us, it’s aimed at the core comsumer who has no problem dropping $1500 on a little black dress and by extension see this a nice impulse purchase.

Actually, I’d be inclined to agree, but I’ve heard different opinions – like, people work night shifts, go into debt or save forever because “we all deserve a little luxe in our lives”.
I have just bought a Lancôme Blockbuster with 10 FULL-SIZE items plus deluxe perfume, cosmetic pouch and a train case for $60. Now that’s a treat for poor people like me!

Oh man, I was so excited to see this post. It’s a beautiful advent calendar and I would LOVE to try to some more Dior items…especially since I’ve loved anything I’ve ever tried from them. But WOWZA, that price tag is pretty steep. $300? Sure. $350? Probably. But yikes, $425? That’s a 5th Ave Holiday Box or a Purple Encore Box. I haven’t bought a single advent calendar yet, though. I was considering Diptyque but wanted to hear from people that had actually bought it before and what they thought of it (mainly, was it worth the price). Maybe if this was the ONLY one I bought, it might be worth the splurge. So instead of buying 2 or 3 at reasonable prices, I could just take plunge with this one. Although, that would leave me with deciding between this one and Diptyque. Suggestions, anyone? Has anyone ever tried either of those? And if so, what were your thoughts?

Ok, first off, I need to say that I have not purchased either one. That being said- I think I would love to have both. I looked at an article on Marie Claire about the Diptyque calendar and it said it was mini candles and fragrances and that it would make your home smell good. The Dior from what they have shown- is mini fragrances and makeup plus a star ornament. I really wish I could swing it! But, I did go on Diptyque and found various mini candle sets for $75- I think there were 5 in it. I bought a red Dior clutch with 5 travel items on Ebay yesterday for $30.00. I have not tried either brand and learned of both on MSA. I have noticed that if Luna gets excited about something- it is most likely LOVELY! I never knew about many luxury brands and didn’t know what I was missing LOL! Now is a good time to try things with all the gift sets out. Good luck deciding, let us know what you choose! AND- Have a great Holiday Season.

Oh what a fabulous idea for trying out Diptyque items. That may be the way to go! And ooooh, $30??? So jealous!! What a steal!! Thanks for your feedback, chris. That’s helpful. I love Dior – perfume, skincare, make-up, all of it. I think I will probably end up with this one. But let’s just say I’m probably gonna head on over to eBay first 🙂 Happy Holidays to you and yours!

I am loving the price of this even more than the Diptyque one. Where are all these people who “are so overjoyed to buy it”? Time to line up.
What’s next, $1000 calendar? $5000? Why not?

Haha! That actually wouldn’t surprise me if one of those came out next year.

WOW. That price is shocking. I was SO excited to see this post. I LOVE dior. I spend a couple thousand on their products each year. It is my go to brand for foundation, lipstick, perfume… and I can not justify this purchase. $425 for samples? Not even a full gloss? too bad.

But there is 25 of them, which bring to $17 each

If you shop at sephora it would bring it down to 0$ each with a $25 purchase of something you were buying FULL size… at the end of the day it’s still a sample that we’ve all gotten free or as part of a $10 – $20 beauty box.

I wish they would put a Dior bag in a box
