Emma & Chloe is a jewelry subscription service that sends a new piece of French jewelry every month.

I thought the Emma & Chloe packaging was beautiful before, but this new packaging is even classier! I love the neutral colors, gold foil detail, and the jewelry bag!

The Subscription Box: Emma & Chloe

The Cost: $35 per month

The Products: French jewelry valued between $50 and $200 plus a magazine about French Fashion/Jewelry trends.

This subscription also comes with a short magazine that tells you more about the jewelry selected for this month along with a profile on the designer.

Great News - when you sign up for this subscription, you can select if you prefer gold or silver jewelry (and clip on or pin earrings).

Now, time for the jewelry!

Dear Charlotte Shield Bangle - Retail Value $170

This bracelet cuff features a hammered metal band and intricate medallion like accents on each side. It's accented with two semi-precious lapis lazuli stones.

(The antique shield design is inspired by Greek architecture in its ancient cities.)

Here it is on:

All Emma & Chloe pieces also come with a certificate of authenticity:

And jewelry care instructions:

Verdict: I normally love my Emma & Chloe jewelry pieces, but this cuff isn't one of my favorites. (I also wish it was more adjustable. It was super easy to bend to be able to put it on, but I didn't have any luck with squeezing it to permanently adjust the shape.)

But, the jewelry is excellent quality, it's just a personal style miss this month. In general, if you love delicate jewelry like I do, I highly recommend this subscription.

Plus I love that they let you specify if you want gold or silver - I think that really helps cut out the risk of this subscription. And the packaging and presentation of this subscription box are amazing. This definitely qualifies as a gift to yourself - it was so fun to unbox!

My bracelet also never arrived – i received a tracking number in November, but it looks like the box was never shipped. I wrote to the costumer service and they did not replied anything at all.

Does anyone know the timeing to cancel? They auto renewed and billed me for 3 months in
Noevember. I did not realize that would happen. There is no info I can find as to when to cancel on thier site so that I recieve what I paid for and not get charged again.

Is it just me or does large auto renewals seem dangerous. What if they auto renewed a year and it was over $400 taken from my account. I feel like going month to month is much more appropriate.

From what I read on their site, the cancellation goes in place from when they see your email. Meaning, if you wanted to cancel before Dec, go ahead and send an email so that they can see it prior to the next month. But again, I’m not with Emma & Chloe so I couldn’t say definitively.

Hi Rebecca, Caroline here at Emma&Chloé, indeed you just have to send us an email at support[@]emma-chloe.com to unsubscribe immediately. Our T&S are detailed in your checkout email, all cancellations have to be placed before the 8th of the month!
Hope this helps,

Caroline

You could put a dispute in with your credit card if they don’t reverse the charges on the grounds of what you just mentioned – renewal date is nowhere to be found. Not a lot of companies are going to fight a dispute. But try emailing them first and asking if you can undo the 3 month charge. Also others on the site suggest for larger subs to use a prepaid VISA so that the renewal doesn’t go through. I never tried it myself but it’s a good idea.

I absolutely loved this bracelet when I got it! Nice little early Christmas present to myself, or at least it felt like it. 🙂 I got it in gold and I’ve been wearing almost every day. I don’t feel like it’s flimsy at all. I do agree it won’t bend much but I just put it on my wrist and be done with it. Other than the fan earrings from 2 mos. ago this sub has been a major hit for me, plus I get major compliments on every item I wear from it.

I am so happy with this golden cuff! It is gorgeous! It is honestly the prettiest jewelry piece I have ever received in a sub box. And I’m signed up with fff and Popsugar….
It’s just enough Boho, just enough vintage and just enough shine! My stones are black though…. pitch black not blue at all, but I don’t mind!
I was planning on getting the bf deal and cancel if I wasn’t satisfied but I’m staying on for sure! Love-love-love
Ps. My wrist aren’t super small but I would say bigger than average.

I’m 6-foot tall, but I had no idea how gigantic my wrists are until subscribing to this box for six months. I got this bracelet and another one during the subscription, and both are nice but look ridiculous on me. I got one pretty ring which fits fine on my ring finger, thankfully. I love both of the necklaces I received and a pair of earrings are OK, but obviously I didn’t resubscribe. Also didn’t appreciate having to jump through hoops when they sent me silver instead of gold earrings one month. (Was told I was the one who had to straighten out my return shipping refund with PayPal. Seriously? I didn’t make the mistake! They did finally work with PayPal to “straighten it out” after I complained. My guess is they just were waiting for the earrings to get to them to post the refund me for shipping, but they should have told me that. I wasn’t peeved by the shipping mix up – mistakes happen! – or taking the time to send them back, but there is no excuse for poor customer service.)

I have 7.5″ wrists. I never thought I’d that as freakishly huge, just on the larger end of normal. Sub boxes have taught me otherwise.

I love this cuff! However, it definitely seems like an item that is very specific to wrist size with little adjustability. I’m lucky it fits me since it’s my style; however I did unsubscribe as it seems months will be very hit/miss on style and fit.

It is a well made piece with the hammered metal, but I do with they used sterling silver vs. brass or at least gold fill vs. plate to make these more durable heirloom pieces.

Gave it a try with the BF deal and glad I did not pay full price for this, I would have been so disappointed.
Start with the positive: fast shipping, got my choice of colour (sounds like some subscribers have had issues with getting their pick). Lovely packaging but IMHO spending so much of your budget on a $35 box that only sees one item is silly. I’d rather they charge a bit more, minimize the printed insert and frou-frou packaging and include two items. Very quick CS reply when I cancelled my sub once I received the bracelet and decided not to buy anything else.
Finally – the negatives. Already mentioned the issue (for me) of value versus packaging; the bigger problem is the item itself. Since it’s just one, if that month is not a good fit / match, you’re SOOL. In this case, the bracelet RV seems insane for what it is – a very tiny, very thin object that bends easier than a cheap spoon. It’s pretty but it doesn’t feel like quality due to its flimsy construction. On my regular sized wrist it fits but with a 2″ gap between the ends. Looks absolutely ridiculous. It truly feels like a child sized piece of jewelry and that’s who it will go to, my 6 year old niece.
Unless you love 80% of the previous boxes and wear very petite sizes, I would not recommend.

I re-subbed specifically for the bracelet. lol I got the silver one and it’s a bit more delicate than I had thought it would. It is adjustable but I didn’t want to push it too much, I have fat little wrists so this bracelet might work out for me yet.

I am almost afraid of what the next box will be, I ordered this thru a black friday special so the next box is going to be charged soon. 🙁 I have subbed for this here and there but haven’t really hit anything super special yet.

I think this looks like googly eyes on my chubby wrist. It’s a miss for me.

But I’ll be giving it to my mom for Christmas. I think it will be easy for her to put on & take off without hurting her arthritic hands.

I liked the photo more than the bracelet in person.

Googly eyes is a lot better than what my teenage son says it looks like. Now every time I wear it I hear jokes about my boob bracelet.
