Inspire Me Home Decor is a relatively new home decor subscription box. Each month you'll receive a box curated by Inspire Me founder, Farah Merhi.

(We're reviewing this box thanks to requests from MSA readers!)

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Everything was packaged securely wrapped in bubble paper and arrived intact. (Super important for a home goods box!)

The Subscription Box: Inspire Me Home Decor Subscription Box

The Cost: $99.99

The Products: Each month you will receive hand picked décor and accents that can be styled together or separately. Each box you receive includes décor items themed around a specific space in your home.

Ships to: US only.

This box comes with a set of cards that detail the items included.

There's a letter from Farah and an itemized card:

And she also included pictures for tips on how to style your items:

Now, on to the items!

But First Coffee Wood Sign - Retail Value $19.99

This sign measures 12 X 5.5 inches with almost an inch depth.

It's thick enough to stand on its own or lean against a wall - no need to hang this up if you don't want to!

Antique Mirrored Tray - Retail Value $53.99

First, props to Inspire Me for packaging this so well that it showed up in one piece!

The tray is a painted-black wooden base with mirror pieces on top. It measures 12.8" x 19.5" x 2".

I'm not crazy about the way this was "antiqued." The splatter looks a little too even on the sides, and the base piece isn't "antiqued" at all. Those issues aside, this piece feels solid, has a good weight to it, and I appreciate that is a larger tray (very rare in subscription boxes!)

Faux Flower Set - Retail Value $9.99

These little faux flower pots are 6 inches tall. They feel a little bright for this time of the year, (I would have preferred a faux plant that is more in season), but still cute!

Crystal Knob Cookie Canister - Retail Value $49.99

It measures about 11 inches tall (including the crystal knob), and about 7 inches across.

(This is one of the few branded items in the box - it is from the brand Home Essentials.)

This cookie jar doesn't fit our kitchen style, (and we're trying to cut back on cookies!) but I already have the perfect person in mind to gift this to!

Black and Gold Peony Mug Set - Retail Value $17.50

My favorite items in the box! When I see a mug with metallic paint I automatically assume it is hand-wash only, but these pretty mugs are dishwasher safe!

They measure about 4 inches tall and hold 8 ounces.

I love the black and white floral pattern with gold accents, and these are porcelain!

Mini Mercury Glass Vase - Retail Value $9.99

This little vase measures 4 inches tall. Comparing this to the tray, the finish of the glass isn't as even and looks much more realistic. It's listed as a vase, but would be beautiful for candles, too.

Verdict: This box has a total retail value of about $161.45. I think for most home boxes the question comes up, "Could I buy similar items for less at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, etc?" If you're a bargain hunter and like putting together your own styled looks, I'd recommend going that route. If you see a value in getting coordinated items delivered to you complete with styling tips, I think this would be a great box.

This box would make a nice wedding gift. It all goes together and looks good quality. I like it. 🙂

It bugs me when home decor boxes say thing like the card in this box: “…hand picked to compliment any design style.” Because it doesn’t compliment any design style. Rather than a few home decor boxes trying to please everybody, I would rather see several boxes that have a very specific and consistent aesthetic and then stick with it. Maybe one of them would fit my style 🙂

Check out Heima Box! They quiz you to determine your style and the owner will look at your Pinterest board or take requests from her Instagram! I found out (after a disappointing first box) that I hadn’t picked my actual style. The boxes since then have been AMAZING. She offers 3 levels, too.

You could use the cookie jar for Buckles treats!

The “antiqued” tray is a mess! I think I would’ve preferred it to be a regular mirror glass tray. Love the cookie canister but a 50$ value is certainly inflated! The mugs are beautiful!

As a one time candle maker, I’d like to ask you to please be careful when putting candles into containers not designed for them. Glass not designed to withstand the heat of open flame can shatter, spraying flaming wax everywhere. It could be very dangerous.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll stick to flameless/LED candles for this one!

I would have no use for any of the items as they do look very Home Goods to me…not a bad thing…just predictable decor.

It looks like a good box for someone who needs inspiration to decorate.

What a gorgeous box!! But $100 is too rich for my blood. I love the cookie canister, it’s beautiful and the mugs!
