Flip the box inside out, and it becomes a stack of spell books!
Exclusive The Art of Yoshitaka Amano, Edited by Carl Gustav Horn
This is a beautiful little collection of works by the man behind the art of Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D. I love his elegant, eerie style.
Exclusive Mushi-Shi Tea Cup Set
I hadn't heard of this dreamy fantasy story until I opened this box, and now I'm super curious about it! These two ceramic cups are cute and surprisingly sturdy, but I wish they had left the text logo off of them and just stuck with the ethereal artwork.
Exclusive JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Josuke Figure
Wow, this 8" figurine of the fourth JoJo is amazing! But it's not like I'm surprised—the Banpresto figurines that I get with this subscription are always top notch. Just look at that detail! The buckles on the satchel... the natural way the pants hang... ugh, this guy looks good. The statuette doesn't stand up on it's on so well, but it's sturdy enough with the stand they provide!
Exclusive Noragami Pin
I love filling my lapels with pins, but I kind of wish this one was a little more artful than just an image on a backing. (An enamel pin of a character would've been awesome...). Still, the image is pretty darn cool, haha! The pin is about 2 inches wide, and the image is set on some pretty sturdy metal. It's good a good gloss to it, too. I like when pins have two posts on them like this one does, since it helps the pin stay flush to my jacket a little better.
Exclusive Yume Phone Charm
There's always a phone charm in these boxes, and it typically features Yume, the Loot Anime mascot. This particular charm is one of my favorite designs, thanks to the cute, minimalist design style and the plentiful glitter. I'm not a phone charm person, but I find that these charms make fun zipper pulls or cute additions to my keychain if nothing else.
The Verdict: This box was pretty cool, though I felt a little underwhelmed by the small book and the pin. I'm wild about the quality of the figurine they included, though—it definitely delivered the most value. I do love the variety of items they provide in this box and the exclusivity makes everything feel just a bit more special than with standard fan boxes.
