This month’s Loved+Blessed theme is “Waiting”.
Mini Poster
This month’s mini poster says, “Good Things Come to those who Wait “ on the front and on the back ‘Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord”, Psalm 27:14 NIV. The poster is spot on with the theme “Waiting”. I know for me “waiting” is hard and this encourages me to “take heart” and “be strong”. How do you display your mini poster? Let me know in the comments.
Reminder Sticker
The reminder sticker has “Wait and See” on the front. I have a collection of these monthly stickers and need to find a place to apply/store them. Any ideas?
Scripture Card
This month’s scripture is taken from Galatians 6:9 NLT “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up”. This month the holiday season goes into full swing, so kick off the Thanksgiving holiday with the gift of doing and serving others from the heart. This scripture speaks to me in regards to me focusing my time on others this season.
Gold Feather Pen - Retail Value $2.89
This is one fancy feather pen it reminds me of a quill pen. The ink is black and has a roller tip. Check out their blog post on waiting and the meaning behind the poem that was on a card attached to the pen and on the back of the card is an excerpt from Emily Dickinson’s poem, “Hope is the thing with feathers”. I’m a Emily Dickerson fan and have a book of her poems, it was a pleasure to reminisce in her poetry again. “Let this feather pen symbolize hope and remind you that like a bird that sings in the midst of a storm, you can hold onto hope while you’re waiting”.
In Due Time: Hope And Encouragement in the Waiting By Caroline Harries - Retail Value $16.99 (found on sale here for $15.84)
This 60-day devotional has a scripture to start, a devotional and a life application, each devotional is two pages. The end of the book has a section on a relationship with Jesus and scripture declarations on fear, hardship, faith, peace, hope, God’s timing, and healing. I will attempt to start on November 1st and end my year in encouragement.
From Amazon:
“How long, O Lord, how long???” The reality of life is that we’re all waiting on something. Marriage. Babies. Jobs. Healing. Family restoration. The list could go on and on… Seasons of waiting on the Lord can be hard, discouraging and exhausting. Perhaps it’s only been weeks or months. But for some, the wait has lasted years. Or maybe you’ve faced an unimaginable trial, such as the loss of a loved one. The journey through grief, sorrow, and pain can be filled with isolation and hopelessness. No matter how hard your journey has been, there is a purpose for all of the pain. Come join me in this 60-day devotional as I share pieces of my own story, including both loss and longing. Through the truth shared from God's Word, you will find that it is possible to have joy and declare that God is good, even in the midst of waiting. As you read each devotion, my prayer is that your heart will be healed, your mind renewed and your spirit encouraged to seek, trust and praise the Lord through the storms you are facing today. Although it might be a hard journey now, God is faithful, and he will finish the work that he started in you. If you remain steadfast and don't give up, in due time you will reap your abundant harvest! Be encouraged and have hope — God is in the waiting!
Encouragement Kit
Loved + Blessed include an Encouragement Kit with every subscription box. I love the idea of an encouragement kit. It is meant to be passed on to a stranger or as an encouragement for someone I know. Love + Blessed encourages a handwritten note on the blank card, share the mini poster that has,”Good Things Come to those who Wait” and on the back a scripture taken from Psalm 27:14 NIV, Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord”. I’m encouraged to include homemade cookies or a gift that relates to the theme, “Waiting”. What would be a gift that I could give that displays the theme ‘Waiting”. Let me know in the comments.
Verdict: This box was a hit, an encouragement for my soul. Their boxes are lovely curated with their colorful and decorative design carried throughout the box. I look forward to starting my journey in hope and encouragement by reading the 60-day devotional and using my gold feather pen to take notes. The box is $15.99 a month plus $4 shipping, the value is worth it depending on the main item and its retail value. The two main items in this month’s box, the gold feathered pen and book have a combined valued of $19.88. In my opinion, the cost shouldn’t matter if you are desiring to be encouraged spiritually.
